Dang, I forgot to go out today and buy 4 dozen eggs, 8 gallons of milk and 22 loafs of bread.

Accepting food stuff as returns is a HUGE liabity. No clue if it was stored properly or if something else happened to it. People seem to forget about the rash of poisonings a in the 80's.

I agree. Walmart loses million of dollars on stupid returns like this. I also agree that it's not always safe.

if a store takes back product it does not go back on the shelf.

I am sort of surprised Wallies takes back food items, just sort of though.  Their vendors suffer the loss most likely .

I kept telling customers tonight that we were getting six to eight inches starting around 2 am.  We aren't getting squat.

I can't understand why people aren't prepared for a couple of days at home.    If we don't have bread and milk there is no one starving.

Some items get restocked & some don't. It all depends on what item it is & it's condition. I've actually seen them restock meat & dairy items before that should have been trashed by claims. They're more strict than they used to be, but some of the stuff people return would shock you. My wife had a customer & his girlfriend actually attempt to return used panties (with fresh stains) & a half a box of opened condoms. She's had to use rubber gloves many times while working for WM. The police had to retrieve some shoplifted undergarments with used condoms wrapped up in them at the service desk this past year & wife was the one stuck helping sort the items for the police report. Keep that in mind next time you complain about a WM employee not having a smile on their face. You never know what they've had to deal with from the customers in front of you.
