.223 Range Ammo

I finally finished my first AR, and I'm dying to get to the range. Hopefully tomorrow. I know I should have ordered online, but I'm wondering where the best place to buy .223 locally is. Any suggestions?

Thanks...

Well, I'm in Chattanooga, not Nashville, but I would suggest your local WalMart. Winchester offers .223 in the "White Box" that is good factory ammo. I haven't bough any factory in a while, but I know the bulk boxes like I'm referring to will save money over the usual 20-packed ammo. Black Hills is also good ammunition if you can find it. It usually rins $22-$25 or so for a 50-round box.

+1 on the Academy Outdoors' offering of Monarch "blue box" 5.56; Its dirty, but at $5.29 per box of 20, I don't mind a little TLC after a day of range time on the cheap! Let-er rip, tater chip.

That's all I have used in my AR for range fodder. I have had no issues other than it being dirty.
