Glock 30 - what do you think of this mod?

This pic is not mine. Mine is bone stock except for a slight amount of relief under the trigger guard. That was a minor mod but it helped a lot as I have medium size hands. That said, its still a fat grip and I'm thinking of doing a DIY grip mod for better purchase on the gun. I came across this mod on "The Truth About Guns"...would you do it if you thought you were going to keep the gun? I've had the Gen 3 30 since 2008.

Another thought is just sell it and get the SF/S version?

I had this same issue with even the 30SF. It just felt huge in my hands. I had considered these grip mods then I held a Springfield XDS .45 3.3 and wow, that was the answer for me...it's now my EDC. I know glock guys don't want to hear that, I'm a glock guy myself...

I do like ehull20000's rules for cutting though, I feel the same way about stippling. Once it's done it's yours forever

You pretty much summed up my feelings on the matter, I owned a G-36 for a long time and shot a few G-30's as well. The G-36 felt better but I just didn't like it. Then I bought an XDs9 and was amazed at how nice it felt, I was suspicious of the XDs45 thinking it would be uncomfortable to shoot. Nope, its different in felt recoil but not enough to be a bother.

But back to the OP...I don't mind small frame mods on a Glock pistol such as increased relief under the trigger guard but I avoid other frame mods.
