I wouldn't want ANYTHING that puts a foreign object in the muzzle of my barrel. I do believe this has been discussed before.

Sorry.

If you have a vacuum sealer you could go that route. Seal the ammo separate and put the sealed bags in your tube. Dry ice the tube, or purge it in some other fashion. Bury it in an area that does not hold water. Also some ideas when burying it: Use your post hole diggers to go about two or three feet deeper than you need and pour the bottom with some coarse gravel to let the water drain past. Use a heavy plate of something, concrete or steel even oil soaked plywood if that's all you got; over the burial spot in case of any heavy traffic should drive over it. AND, if you're paranoid [or smart ] enough to be burying guns pick your spot well. If you were to put it in the ground in an area you've got some old scrap metal laying around it'll help throw off a metal detector.

Sounds like a Kwik event.

Academy sports had one a while back. .44 mag too.

Regular old grease works fine. Take the wood off and put it Ina separate plastic bag. Personally I'd do the same with plastic. You can build one from PVC and buy two heavy duty metal valve stems for a truck. Drill the proper size hole in each end of your build and install the valve stems. You want the metal ones with the little rubber washers not a regular rubber/ brass core valve stem. They don't treat rubber anymore and they will dry rot in less than two years. Less thana year ifmtheynare in direct contact with soil. (now's a good time to check the stems on your vehicle!) Remove the core from one end and rig up a way to feed other end from a gas bottle. You need an inert gas such as argon, co2, xenon, or even helium. Basically, use your welder gas. Feed the inert gas into the container until you are confident that there is no oxygen and quickly replace the core in the other end. Use a metal valve cap that has an o ring inside it to cap it off. No oxygen, it can't oxidize. I'd go as far as to wrap that in a heavy duty trash bag before sinking it in the ground. Just to keep dirt off of it and make it easier to get into later. Nothing is worsemthantrying to open something covered in crusty dirt.

Lube it up liberally for the break in period.

Being well sealed isn't all of it. Condensation is a real problem too. Grease it heavy and be sure to put a rudimentary cleaning kit in there too.

Okay, this is really throwing a monkey wrench into the works. Now you guys have got me wanting to build a 6,8mm SPC so I can cast for it.

I used to think it was a little pricey and it is, but you know what? It's like trading with a local business or any other business that supports the ideals you hold dear. Sometimes the money means nothing. I know I've eaten there a lot more than I did a few years ago.

THere are guys out there that are paper patching lead bullets to over 3,000 feet per second. I don't claim to know much and certainly not all, but I can tell you this with 99% certainty: If you read something about a lead bullet on the internet or even in Handloader magazine, it's probably I once read an article in Handloader claiming it's okay to lube 44 special with Johnsons Paste wax. WHAT!!!!!!!????!!?? I just shot some 30/30 loads last weekend that were well above 2,000 fps and that was with a 183g bullet. No leading. I've stopped pleading with the world to see reason. To all my TGO bretheren, I mean NO disrespect. Many of you already know. THis is a blanket statement. MOst of what you know and have heard about cast bullets is probably WRONG. Ask David, ask Dolomite or Jonnin or Westwindmike or Red333. There's a few of us and suspect more than I know. I suspect there's a few that just sit there say nothing. These loads of mine in 300BLK were around 1800-1900 FPS and ZERO leading.

Mexico dissolves its FBI and moves to legalize drugs

They're just sick of arresting people for a joint. -
Wonder what would happen if a bunch of concealed carriers put a flash mob together and all went to open carry at the set time and place??? Be neat to see public reaction to about 50 open carriers at once.

Mexico dissolves its FBI and moves to legalize drugs

Yep, I been saying it for a long time now. One Marine for every yard length of border we have. Play a nice game of "Whacka Mexican-Mole" . When they cross, drive them back or kill them. Use your best judgement. If the cartels start shooting back, just call in coordinates. Artillery is standing by. Why won't they do it? Are they afraid of a war with mexico? There's enough capable men on the Metro Davidson Police Department to wipe out the messicans. The cartels on the other hand are nothing more than terrorists. Our Army and Marines are REALLY good at dealing with terrorists who wanna have an old western style shoot out. -
You'd probably be like me, If I didn't have her, I wouldn't know wether to scratch my watch or wind my butt. I open jars, earn the bread and squash spiders. She sees I'm fed, medicated and the bills are payed. Despite some peoples delusions, love is not the nucleus of a good marriage. It's trust and need. A symbiotic relationship where the two parts contribute even portions to a functioning whole. I do love her though

Funny thing about it, It doesn't take away the pain. It does let you deal with it. Quite nicely depending on the strength. I don't trust ANYTHING that takes the pain away [save for the healing hand of Jesus Christ] because pain is there for a reason. If my pain were gone, I'd be in worse shape. It's what keeps me from destroying what's left of my spine. -
If she's a good woman, marry her before she wakes up and realizes she could do better. That's what I did! [no insult intended] Problem solved.

Like I tell people who have seen me do it. Hoppes #9 will wipe it right off. Whatcha got to loose? Obviously nothing, that M&P looks a LOT better the way you filled it in.

Not really. Rub the crayon all over it then wipe off with a clean rag. The engraved portion will stay fill. If it don't, do it again. As far as getting it hot and it running out, I don't see that being a problem. You'd have more cosmoline running out of the stock and any lubricant in the works running out than that. It's paraffin. It's certainly NOT corrosive or damaging to anything it touches even if it did. I actually use a crayon to lubricate the spru plate on my bullet molds when I am casting.

Legalizing hard drugs will cost a lot of families their children as access becomes easier. BUT, that's natural selection at work. Not always palatable but something I believe in. I think they should have legalized weed a long time ago. It's ten times less destructive than alcohol. Drunks wanna fight and act stupid. Stoners want to eat, sleep, have sex or watch cartoons. I haven't in in over ten years and likely never will again. BUT, the commercials they put out are BS. No one smokes a joint and runs over a kid. Ever rode with a guy that's high? Seat belt on, head lights on, eyes on the road, proper turn signals, always looking for the cops while softly chanting "45, stay alive, they's a cop out there I know it." Not even 46MPH in a 45 zone. THe relief it give people in severe pain is incredible. THe only hell I ever seen a stoner raise is when he don't get his waffle in a hurry while he's playing Gin Rummy at the Waffle house at 3AM. You can't OD on it. I'd even go so far to say it'd be even safer if legalized because the FDA would become involved. No more worries that it might have something ELSE in it. If it were legalized I'd certainly pursue a prescription with my back, neck and shoulder injuries I deal with. It's a heck of a lot less destructive than them godawful pills that eat up your stomach and liver. -
I do that a lot with crayons. It's cool and nonpermanent. I even keep a few white crayons in my cleaning box to refill after I scrub a gun down. A habit I got into years ago in my Mil Surp bolt action mania.

Never owned an M&P but that'd be my choice.

I could drink that stuff through a straw! My wife actually called one of their stores and tried to buy a case of it for me for our anniversary one year. THey wouldn't do it.

There's a world of difference in the H-bomb. The Hydrogen bomb is a fusion reaction set off by a fission bomb. You'd have to build a high quality atom bomb to be able to get started on the H-bomb. You're talking megaton yield not kiloton.
