I had a time getting the last of 4 baffles out from the front end and only shot it 70 times.

Huntertown Arms Kestrel 5.56 , yes the rounds in the top of the mag were getting black in color. It didn't sound so quiet to me unless I was shooting the sub .22LR. The bolt was really not that dirty , it cleaned up well but it is NB coated.

Finally got to shoot mine , only 25 rounds of 5.56 and 50 .22 LR , it was actually pretty dirty. Had to smoke a turkey that day so it was a quick shoot and get started smoking. I did notice the last 5 5.56's left in the mag were pretty dirty , does using a suppressor cause that ?

I have the XDs 45 , it is the only striker fired pistol I have that I shoot well.

Liability here is your biggest enemy . If your name is on the title and they have a wreck you can be sued. I am assuming your not signing over the title till the last payment ?

Your finding new ones ? These were made in the late sixties and seventies by Mattel and now on EBay for around $500 ! You wound it up by pulling back on the bolt handle about 10 times and a speaker in the magazine area made a pretty loud machine gun sound ; no batteries.

I had two , I broke the barrel off my first one as a kid and immediately got another. I need to find my second one , these things are bringing big money .....

I have always thought if I'm coming down the hallway with my pistol I really don't want to be seen with my light on ; your mileage may vary .....
