  1. i have been looking for a SR22 for my 10 year old also. its that or the Walther, and I prefer the Ruger.  I have had probs finding one for a private sale though. No one wants to part with theirs, but if they do, its usually more that the cost of a new one (@$330-$360).   Let me know if you find more than 1. Ill take the other! :pleased:
  2. a follow up story.. http://www.oregonlive.com/pacific-northwest-news/index.ssf/2013/10/oregon_deer_camp_shootings_man.html#incart_river_default
  3. I have some desert brown also that I am going to use on my Glock. This was the first time I broke the 1911 all the way down, trigger and all. Thanks for the guidance, YouTube!
  4. as devil's advocate, I would like to state that all of the people who want to just sit in the left lane (the fast, or passing lane), make the rest of us nuts. I think that is where 80% of the road rage comes from. All of those KEEP RIGHT EXCEPT TO PASS or SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT signs need to be in flashing neon.  I am not condoning nor encouraging "ass riding" though. thats just stupid.
  5. Anyone within 1 hour of Knox that has large enough property that they might want to invite a novice hunter? This will be my 2nd year. Didnt even see a deer last year. Drove to Manchester area WMA  twice with a friend and used Foothills WMA. Have a crossbow, and being an optimist, I have a new freezer.
  6. I felt the same way. Proud of him, sad for the lack of recognition (which he probably wouldnt want) and glad to hear his story. Teary eyed read...
  7. I saw this posted online today, and read it. Please share this as much as possible. Copy the link and email it to all of your friends, family, enemies and anyone else... http://www.dmagazine.com/Home/D_Magazine/2010/July/Colonel_Robert_Howard_of_Waco_Greatest_American_Hero.aspx#.Uj82v7GM-wo.facebook
  8. i think we all know that it is going to need to be reset though.....
  9. http://www.scottevest.com/v3_store/Alpha_Jacket.shtml   Scottevest is sending me one to do a review on my 2nd Amendment page. This jacket is awesome, and any CCW holder should be drooling over it.
  10. I know. I know. It's UN. I was in a hurry to post it, and I can't edit the topic title.
  11. He needs to be arrested. He is a traitor.   http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/09/25/kerry-signs-un-arms-treaty-senators-threaten-to-block-it/
  12. follow up question...anyone hunt with a .223 AR? I know there are restrictions (no Green Tip penetrator rounds), but what type of rounds can you use for deer? I figure if that is my survival rifle, I should use it to hunt wit occasionally...
  13. Sadly, thats the first thing that I thought also.
  14. This wasn't even on school property... http://www.nbcnews.com/id/53084779/ns/local_news-portsmouth_va/#.UkCaWNLUlBk
  15. This will be my 2nd year. I appreciate the advice. Last year, I only saw one dear, and it was too far to shoot. Hopefully, I can find some private property to hunt on, and not have to drive 3 hours to coffee county. Not a fan of Foothills WMA. I did get 2 managed hunt tags (chuck swan-bow and tellico-gun). your advice will help me out.
  16. Cool pics. I am sure some of you more informed members will enjoy the technical aspects. Me? I just think it's awesome to look at!   enjoy!   http://kuulapaa.com/home/highspeed.html

  18. Toro Toro Toro was about a sneak attack on the Hawaiian lawns by a ruthless group of Japanese on riding mowers.
  19. Anyone ever see the little known "Siege of Firebase Gloria"? R. Lee Ermey before he was a DI in "FMJ". Great old movie. Hard to find though.
  20.   Thanks for that info. I reached out to them yesterday. I am just looking to do my part, should the need ever arise. I want to make as many contacts/friends in the area, who have similar backgrounds/skills.  As far as the gubment tracking us, theres not much we can do about that. Since I run www.facebook.com/2ndAmendmentUSA, since I am a NRA member/recruiter and since I am a gun owner, I am sure I am already on the watch-list. Pretty sure this site is a magnet for the 3 letters anyway.
  21. American Sentinels Bylaws 1. American Sentinel Militia, also referred to as ASM, is a constitutionally based militia. We are not a group of renegades, outlaws, anarchists, terrorists or criminals. We adhere to the law and support the constitutional rights of all Americans, regardless of race, sex or creed.
  22.   You should at least read their bylaws and the "About ASM" page.  Also, "Join, or die" was from a political cartoon created by Benjamin Franklin and first published in his Pennsylvania Gazette on May 9, 1754 pertaining to the states uniting. Not a bad quote, but way to take it out of context.
  23. wow. i have to "bump" this story. I thought there might be more interest.
