  1. I would have to say my favorite experience was pregnancy and having my baby boy!! I remember seeing his ultrasound picture for the first time and hearing his heartbeat.....that was so awesome! Then when I felt him kick for the first time, and when I felt him get the hicups! Then, best of all, was when I heard him cry and saw him and held him for the first time......there is no better experience in the world than that!!! Question: What's your favorite tv program?
  2. I agree, I don't think it's a choice. I think it's in the genes and you're born that way. My sister has a lady aquaintance that is a lesbian and she has a TWIN brother that is gay. There's some genes that got mixed up for sure! Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's right I I definitely don't condone it, but unfortunately, a person's genes can get mixed up sometimes.

  4. I don't know why people get all bent out of shape on here when something is posted that they don't agree with. I've only been here a few months, but I see topics change and take a different course all the time. So what? Especially when it's in the "off topic" category. If what you are reading bothers or offends you, then just don't read it or take part in it anymore. Otherwise, post your opinion and have a nice friendly debate. Everyone needs to :chill:

  6. Well, I voted for the good old shotgun.....and so far I see I'm the only one! I know you can't carry them concealed, but that's really their only drawback. A shotgun is great for home defense, and it's great for all kinds of hunting. They're basically a short range rifle when you use rifled slugs in them. You can change barrels and chokes for different applications. You can even put extended mag tubes, side saddles, lasers, flashlights, pistol grips and all that good stuff on them if you want to. If I could only have ONE gun, it would be a 12 gauge shotgun for sure. Thank goodness I'm not limited to just one gun though!!!

  9. Wow, I met my husband on the internet too! Pretty wild! I'm a Taurus.......and just as stubborn and hard headed as a typical Taurus too! But also loyal, practical, and dependable Question: Here's a deep one......if you could go back and change one day in your life, what would it be? I think my answer to that question would be to have spent more time with my dad on the last day that he was alive......and tell him how much I loved him and appreciated everything he'd done for me in my life....and for being such a good dad.
  10. I have Windows ME and I think I have the older IE 6 running. I don't see the girl at all whether the post is old or new. Are all the guys supposed to show a gender icon too? Because I don't see it in anyone's posts.....but if I get a private message from someone, then I see it. Weird

  14. The girl icon isn't showing up on yours or on mine Diane. I've been wondering about that myself.
  15. Diane, Yes, that would definitely be fun!! Congrats on your "Veteran Member" status btw!!
  16. To all you guys that might be reading this.......see why we gals wanted our own place to chat? LOL
  17. The doctor took everything when he did mine. One of my ovaries was enlarged anyway and I've heard horror stories about women getting just their uterus taken out and then having to go back and have their ovaries taken out later. So I decided to let the doctor take it all out at once. He even took out my appendix while he was in there! I would have liked to have had one more baby if I was younger......but I was almost 37 when I had Cameron and with my arthritis, one baby is enough to chase around! I'm doing well with the hormone replacement therapy.....I get a hot flash once in a while......but for the most part things are going ok so far.
  18. I renewed my membership today and ordered Americas 1st Freedom.
  19. My husband doesn't carry and doesn't have any interest in guns at all. I had most of my guns and carry permit before we met. As for a defining moment that caused me to get my carry permit.......I had a crazy boyfriend around 1995 that made some threats when we parted ways. I was carrying my little NAA mini revolver without my permit after that for a bit.....then I decided I wanted to get legal and carry something bigger Question: Do you think you should be able to shoot someone JUST for stealing your property, when your life is NOT in danger? I personally do not think this is an acceptable reason to take someones life.....although this question was brought up in at least one other thread a while back and the majority seemed to feel that you should be able to.
  20. Sure you can do that. When I was married to my first husband we did that too.
  21. When I had Cameron in 2005 I wouldn't dilate and they had to do a c-section. Come to find out.....my uterus was FULL of fibroid tumors. The doctor said one was almost as big as the baby! I had over a dozen of them. The doctor didn't want to take my uterus out then because he wanted to let me have the chance to have another child if I wanted to. He also said it was really almost a miracle that I was able to conceive with all those fibroids in there. After having Cameron I constantly had pain and pressure from the fibroids, and I decided one child was enough at my age so I had the hysterectomy last summer. They had to do it abdominally because of the large fibroids. Angel, why did you have to have yours?
  22. I was a member for years but I have let my membership lapse for about a year now. I need to renew! Which magazine did you pick? I always preferred America's First Freedom. I went to a big NRA banquet that they had in Sevierville at the old Louise Mandrel theatre about 7 years ago. They sent me an invite in the mail and it was all free. They had a huge buffet dinner there, they gave you a free hat, and I got to meet Louise Mandrel (she is a member of the NRA) and Wayne LaPierre. I shook both their hands and actually spoke to Wayne for about 5 minutes. I have the Americas First Freedom magazine issue from 2001 after the twin towers fell.....the cover of the magazine has a picture of the towers burning. Wayne LaPierre signed the cover for me! He is a good guy and I had a great time! After the dinner and meeting Louise and Wayne, we got to go watch Louise Mandrel perform her Christmas show in the theatre. It was really cool!! I also attended an NRA rally in Knoxville the year that Bush and Gore were in the race for president and Charlton Heston was there and gave a speech. Very cool!
