1. Big thanks to AK guy for doing my bullet guide. Wasn't to sure about doing the tapping so I let him since he's done a few. All of my 30 rd mags and my 40rd mag fit.
2. I know nothing about hunting as well. Are there any laws prohibiting from using a converted saiga?
3. I'm gonna start one here. If any of you need to get rid of a gun I'll give you $25 for it.
4. I shot a shield and my 9c a few weeks ago and I liked the shield but I liked my 9c in my hands better. Also shot a m&p in 40 with the Apex kit and I liked it. It will be on order soon.
5. Haha you didn't when I bought it.
6. Ended up with a shielded iwb holster. $50 and ships quickly.
7. Glad to see someone else build one on here I'll be keeping tabs. I'm curious about the Dog Leg Rail and muzzle brake.
8. As it sits. Don't like the tapco stock (moves around to much) so magpul will be on order soon. Shot it yesterday finally and I'm sold. Everyone needs a ak, saiga, or vepr.
9. Yeah I think it was a captain Morgan deal. That part wasn't my idea. I just remember them saying they were gator fans so I went with it.
10.
C.lunn, the third photo is at Cheekwood correct? The fam and I love that place.
Yep did that last Wednesday. Oh shoot- yeah they were gator fans. Thanks everyone.

12.
Another closure... Target in Hickory Hollow.... http://www.newschannel5.com/story/20049045/target-closing-its-hickory-hollow-store-in-early-2013
That's not bc of obamacare. That store hasn't had a profitable year in awhile.
13.
Forget spending money on equipment for now. Taking a class or two is a great idea but it won't help for quite a while. Just any professional photographer won't do. Hire a pro with experience in commercial photography. There are important differences in staging and lighting this style of photography compared to shooting nature, landscape, sports or people. Many years ago I was a commercial photographer in Boston working on advertising campaigns for companies like Gillette, Anthony's pier 4, the Boston Playboy Clubs Restaurant and many smaller clients. I've also done public relations photo's for the MA Atty General as well as many weddings before I changed careers. I only mention this to point out that I know the differences in various photographic specialties. You wouldn't go to a nurse, an ob/gyn or a pediatrician if you had heart problems because you'd need a specialist. This is no different. I know money is tight so try a place where photography is taught such as a college or art school. There should be a talented student the instructor could recommend. They would also have access to the equipment needed to do your work justice. As far as a critique of your photo's, they lack dimension (provided by proper lighting), the composition doesn't draw you to the subject (the rule of thirds helps) and they don't show the most important features. I hope this helps you rethink things. Good photo's will help you get top dollar for your creations.
This
14.
Yes, and thank you for pointing out my mis-post. And that was my intent. A 50mm lens on a DX body is essentially a 75mm telephoto, which is no longer a prime lens in the classical definition. 50mm at 35mm or FX is a classical prime lens. That equates to roughly a 35mm lens at DX format or 80mm at 6 cmx6 cm.
A 50mm 1.8 is still a prime lens. A prime lens doesn't have anything to do with the sensor size. It means fixed lens. Putting it on a crop camera doesn't change the fact that it's a fixed focal lenth/prime lens.
15. Yeah what are you shooting at f/32, 64? Large format of what?
16. You can make a decent lightbox out of 2-3 sheets of white poster board and a 2 continuous lights. Your problem will be your camera like ever else has said.
17.
Last time I checked Ak guy was at D&T arms. Looks good so far, I like the look of the stock front end on the saigas real well so kind of prefer the looks of what you've got. Stick up on mags and ammo and your set!
Really? Who are you then AK guy? I used to go in there all the time.
18. Where do you work Ak guy?
19. Saiga is converted. Went with the Tapco stock for now. Seems to be ok. Magpul might be on order after my bonus comes in. Also bought 500 rds, a new rifle bag, 40rd mag, and a 30rd Tapco mag today. Ordered the wrong bullet guide so had to order another. 20. There is a Jeep truck. It is a 4 dr jeep wrangler with a 10000 option to remove the back half. Bob Frensly in Rivergate had one. It was red and they had it sitting on 33 I believe and listed for a nice cheap 50k I think is what the window said.
21. So I bought another gun. Couldn't pass on the deal so I snagged this 7.62x39 saiga rifle. And this is what I'm shooting for it to look like. So question ... Has anyone seen this stock available ? I didn't see it on Carolina shooters.
22. I really enjoyed shooting it. Already looking at buying a full size now lol.
23. I have a crossbreed for a 1911 and it worked but didn't know if the wait was still bad to get one.
