  1. Do they make pigtail gas tubes for pistol-length gas systems? I'm considering a 7.3" or 7.5" upper with a carbine length 4-rail and a Noveske Brake (maybe a suppressor later on).

    LCP, KT trigger

I'd be hesitant to modify the sear geometry on a gun like that, with no firing pin safety or anything... I simply learned to use a high thumb hold, which is where my thumb naturally goes when shooting other guns, anyways.
  3. I was thinking something along the lines of the 'Obama Donkey Show'...
  4. **** him
  5. Loading a gun in a manner which it does not normally function should be expected to compromise the integrity of the parts. The problem is the pin which an external extractor hinges on gets battered rearward every time the claw must slam over the case-rim... and internal extractors are prone to chipping, cracking or simply becoming de-tuned. Load from the mag.
  6. I would say get new ammo, but not because there is any reason to expect the 10y/o ammo to not function just fine... instead, simply because ammunition technology has come a long way in 10 years. While pretty much any JHP is adequate to get the job done as long as you are... there's no reason to handicap yourself even slightly over just $20-$30 for new stuff.
  7. Some kind of beer... don't really recall. Whatever they had the most of.
  8. A dedicated 9mm SBR would rock... I've seen magwells and such on the CMMG site, pretty much you just install your upper and the magazine setup, and go. I'm looking more seriously at just a .22lr conversion... that would be even cheaper than a 9mm upper, and would be even cheaper to shoot.
  9. Impossible! It must not be a real Glock... :D = joke
  10. Can't do the 12th, my sister is getting married...
  11. I don't think it must necessarily be illegal for a woman to have an abortion... but it should certainly be illegal for a medical doctor to perform a procedure which is 100% assisted homicide (even in the very few cases where it is for the health of the mother... which would be much like killing an unwilling person to harvest their organs so another person can live). It places one life above another... that's not the premise this country was founded on, not to even touch on 'morality'. If the woman wants to kill her baby, let her do it herself. Take some responsibility and live with the risks/consequences. That's all I'll participate in the matter.
  12. Honest men (or women) who are engaged in lawful behavior have no reason to hide their weapons (ugly, cheap, or whatever)... unless you (falsely) believe that the majority (or even a few) people who open-carry are targetted by criminals more often than those who conceal (if at all). Sure, it can be indiscrete... and yes some people's guns are 'prettier' than others. So what? Folks can make fun of what other people drive, too... or if they have off-brand golf clubs in a ratty bag, but that doesn't change whether it works for them just fine.
  13. Where were the rounds jamming? On the feed-ramp, nose-diving in the mag, or simply not returning fully to battery? Did the failures occur using the same magazine? I've yet to have an XD not feed, in over 15Krd combined through the ones I've owned... dirty or not. Make sure the magazines say .40s&w on the bottom (using 9mm magazines could cause an issue). I doubt the factory packaged the wrong mags, but it just takes a second to check. Limp-wristing is a possibility, but without watching you shoot that's a stretch to consider.
  14. Howabout Nashcago...? or Knoxangeles...
  15. Nothing man-made is perfect... (how's that for short, simple, and to the point )
  16. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ That's my goal!
  17. He's as innocent as any combatant our soldiers would run across on a battlefield.
  18. Dan, I'll take one. Fo' sho.
  19. Welcome back!

    Tempting...

I personally consider the P220 to be the best out of all the Sig lineup.
  21. That makes sense... I had to smack my mags a few times when I'd pick them up and the top round was nosed down because of the way it hit the ground.
  22. I stuck one mag into mine when I could hardly see the top round for the mud. It cycled slow, but did what it was supposed to. I could imagine a problem if there was a small rock in the mud.
