  1. Walther P99 Steyr M9-S9 Taurus Millenium Kahr P & PM series S&W Sigma HiPoint FN Five-seveN USG ...
  2. Browning Buckmark ('best' assumed by me to mean the highest quality for the money... there are some very high-end .22lr pistols which would probably put a Buckmark or S&W 41 to shame)
  3. Welcome, from up the road in Tullahoma!
  4. It's one thing to present an opinion, it's another to talk down to someone because their opinion is different. Once we remind ourselves that we can't change everyone elses' mind on something we feel strongly about, the better we can get along when it comes to the important things... such as the primary purpose for this site. In a perfect world, folks would be able to discuss even controversial, emotional topics without attacking the other viewpoint or person who is expressing it. Expecting noone to disagree is naive. There's nothing wrong with disagreeing or having a controversial opinion, as long as we can intentionally be tactful and considerate at the same time. Going back to the analogy of how we expect people to act in our house which Tungsten brought up... I wouldn't presume to tell my guests what they can and can't discuss, but I would certainly take offense if they were rude about it, no matter what the subject, and put a stop to it. The issue comes into play when, for instance, there are children present in my house, there are obviously going to be spoken or unspoken rules about what is appropriate... and I think the staff here all agrees that since we don't always know who is reading this forum, we have a responsibility to maintain some decorum. So, maybe we should all be open to considering a more private area to discuss off-topic subjects, or, we need to at least all agree that some of these subjects are not healthy for any and every reader it might draw, and simply act accordingly... That's all this is about.
  5. Not so much reject shells as they are simply ran as lower-quality lots specifically for Wal-Mart... I think they even (used to?) use once-fired brass for many calibers, but most of it looks pretty new.
  6. ...And even harder to go from 11s to 10s (were many safety equipment regulations come into play...) From my experience, mid-low 11s are the best mix of speed and economy for the purely recreational racer who uses their car more than just at the track.
  7. I would like to find a PX4 with the 'C' trigger.
  8. 'Sin', being simple a religious term for a violation of morality... a 'Sinner' is one who immoral or not perfectly moral. How I would take that, is there is no person who is capable of consistently acting upon their natural empathy for others, and denying themselves selfishness... add to that any religious requirements deemed appropriate, but even the simplest definition excludes 100% of the human race. So, yes, all humans are incapable of being perfectly moral, ie 'sinners'.
  9. I've seen a bunch of street-worthy Eclipses and Talons run low 10's... That's not bad at all, since it's even difficult to get a modern GTO, Cobra or 'Vette into the 8s without making it nearly undriveable otherwise.
  10. Bonnaroo was my #1 reason for moving to Tullahoma.
  11. Isn't slander a crime?
  12. Debated posts COPIED* to new thread: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8076 *Originals remain here to maintaing thread cohesiveness (looks like you got the last word Mike )
  13. Homosexuality was considered a mental disorder as well, until the mid 70's... but both are nearly identical imbalances in the brain (pedophelia has not been officially identified as a genetic trait for obvious reasons, but is just as much so as homosexuality). One proclivity is only wrong because of the consent issue... but it's certainly possible to be raped by a homosexual as an adult, so, aside from consent, both are simply 'natural' sex-drives. Laws don't determine what is or is not innate... some people are naturally more aggressive than others, and must choose to behave in a socially/morally acceptable manner... And plenty of people have flip-flopped their sexual preference a few times, or simply choosen both.

  15. That really depends on if his choices led him to this end... If a loved one is doing something which could get them hurt or killed, is the only PC option to simply ignore it?

  17. I have a gay uncle with AIDS. It breaks my heart. I really wish somebody would have tormented him into reconsidering his choices. The joke is funny, hilarious actually... and the reason that it's funny is that the simplest criticisms of our society are often painfully overlooked because they make too much sense for some people to be comfortable with... hearing a child say "That is so obviously un-natural" is just too honest. It's refreshing to hear though, and natural for it to evoke emotional responses which precipitate discussion. Jokes are simply an outlet for the stresses of life, it's just as okay to discuss the stresses as it is to make fun of them... how better than this? I hope you'll stick around Dixie.

  21. Hey now, leave my momma outta this!
  22. Quick! Somebody post a blonde joke so we can debate the evils of stereotyping...
  23. I'm pretty sure he'll forgive us for what we've done to the earth, anyways... I mean, God has a history himself of destroying the earth once... and a promise to do it again. We're just small potatoes who delude ourselves by thinking that we actually have any real effect good or bad (hell, the other planets are warming up the same amount as the earth...). In the meantime, I'm loving my carbon footprint . I guess a more serious answer to the question is: Everybody has something to answer for (whether it's fornication or being cruel to fornicators)... so, the question is not whether we'll be forgiven, it's whether we want to be...
