  1. I have to disagree. It's their business. Just like it's their home. If they don't want us to carry there, fine. Put up the sign and we'll take our business elsewhere. Just don't make it a law where we can't carry there outright.
  2. This reminds me of a quip during WW2. The British would complain to the Americans about being over paid, over sexed and over here. The American answer would be your under paid, under sexed, and under Eisenhower.
  3. +1000 That's exactly how I feel. Why do the owners get so mad about it when all they have to do is put the little sign up. I think they should allow carry everywhere and make them post if they don't want you to.
  4. Now if I remember right it had something to do with an underground chemical tank from a dry cleaner that was leaking.
  5. I heard about this a while back and actually did an interview with someone over the phone about any health problems I or family members had.
  6. The LEO must not have been too worried about it since he turned his back on him and walked away.
  7. I was reading in one of Ayoobs books and he said to keep some extra money folded up (Like $10.00) and if confronted by thugs to just throw them the money and tell them to buy a beer. Sorry, ain't gonna happen.
  8. I think the sad thing about this whole confrontation is the Officer not knowing the law. It would make my day to educate one one day. Respectfully, of course.
  9. Wow, I couldn't imagine the acoustics in there.
  10. I play a five string banjo and 63 is my birth year.
  11. This was one of the big reasons I got my permit. Death penalty for sure.
  12. Anti Obama Bumper Stickers, Up Yours Obama, Anti Barack Obama, NOBAMA, Pro John McCain, Anti Obama, Bumper Stickers, Buttons, T-Shirts, Yard Signs, Sarah Palin,
  13. When I had mine done, they gave me a temporary set. Then I think it was 3 months later, could've been longer, after gum shrinkage and all, they made another permanent set.
  14. Don't remember where I got this. Could've been on here. Kinda contradicts itself.
  15. I really don't have a problem with the opting-out thing. If your local officials want to do that at the parks and such, then vote them out and get it changed. If businesses want to post no guns, fine. Then don't go there. What I'm really against is an outright ban by the state saying permit holders can't carry at this place or that place. I say make carrying legal everywhere and make your local officials or business owners decide if they want to post no guns or not.
  16. My work bans guns. One day there was a wild critter being aggressive to some employees. There were no less than 3 different firearms that materialized and took care of said critter. Mine being one of them. It was outside, not inside in case you're wondering. Yes , they're banned at work, but that doesn't mean they're BANNED at work.
  17. I was Industrial Maintenance (Plant Mechanic) at ALCOA till the layoff. Now I'm back to driving a concrete mixer. I hope your job is more secure than my was.
  18. "Wikipedia has the 2008 population for TN at 6,214,888. One of the articles in the CA about the restaurant carry bill said there were about 220,000 people in the state with permits." With these statistics, that means roughly 1 in 28 people have permits. I use this with antigunners when asking them how many people at any given time are in Wal Mart when you go there? They answer maybe 300. Then I say, well guess what. That means statistically that there are about 10 people there that are carrying when you go there.
  19. Dang guys. Somebody give me one of your government jobs so I can have a nice vehicle. I'm too ashamed to post my crappy edd '83 F100.
  20. Whats wrong with these people? It's quite obvious that the people have spoken. Look at the recent poll on WVLT , 70% last I seen want carry in parks. I like taking the kids to Sandy Springs Park and also the Greenbelt Park and it irks me not to be able to carry. At least it's the commission and not Huff that has the final say. This is East Tennessee, not Nashville or Memphis, so maybe they will do the right thing.
  21. Poll: With the guns-in-restaurants bill about to become law, will you look for restaurants that don't allow guns? : News : Memphis Commercial Appeal I know its on CA's sight but still hit it. Watch how you vote. It's a little misleading. I'm taking this to mean that Will you patronize only restaurants that don't allow guns. So I voted NO.
  22. Sex, drugs, Flatt and Scruggs. Not really. Saw it on a t-shirt.:-)
  23. I've finally made it to level 10 in Mybrute and made a new clan for those that didn't make it in the first one. Use the link below to join. It's called TGOC. (Tennessee Gun Owners Clan) My Brute
  24. I used to deliver concrete to Trillium in my old job. Some of my old buddies say they're getting about 20 hours a week now. Really sad.
  25. I shot the .380 Keltec. I wouldn't mind them if they had better grips and a mag extension.
