  1. I know a guy that said he got his in less than 3 weeks. That was a couple years ago though.
  2. As a matter of fact, I'm taking my 7 and 8 YO boys to the range right after I finish this response. I'm gonna rent them a 22 rifle to shoot. They've both shot a 22 pistol before at a range and loved it and actually were pretty accurate with it. A guy at the range where they shot the pistol told me they were a little young to be shooting. I disagree. A little story. When I was about 10 or so. I was curious about guns and was playing with my dads pistols one day. I had an AD and shot a whole in the wall. I was in big trouble. But the moral is, if I had been around them more and taught the rights and wrongs about them, that would probably never had happened.
  3. I called them today about 2:30. She asked for my name and DL# and said she would call back. She did call back 2 hours later and said I would receive it in 7-14 days. I'm only on day 37 so 7-14 days would make it 44-51 days. So I highly suggest to call.

    New Handgun

I agree CZ are great guns. I almost bought a RAMI at a gun show once but didn't have enough cash on hand. Wasn't RAMIs the ones that didn't like hollow points though? I swore I saw somewhere where they had a little trouble with them feeding hollow points.
  5. I've not seen anyone mention this before, so I will. I've noticed when I wear my IWB Don Hume holster, if I have tighter jeans it is a little uncomfortable. Also I have to loosen my belt a notch. Sometimes I just wear it between my belt and my waistband. What do some of you do? AND is there a better holster for IWB?
  6. OK, you guys have gotten me itching to call just to see what they say. Even though I'm only on day 35. What's that # again?
  7. The same thing can be said about Churchs, even more so. OH, I forgot, look what happened in Knoxville.
  8. I know you can't carry in National Parks, but can if you're just driving through the Park. But say I'm going to visit a park. Can I keep it unloaded in the trunk?? What about Harrah's casino in Cherokee?? I think I already know the answer though.
  9. Pretty good. I flinched. I showed my 2 boys and they just laughed. Dang, I must be getting old.
  10. Looks like TN is behind the times compared to everyone else on the restaurant carry.
  11. 03/02/2004Firearms Manufacturers Protection bill S 1805 Y Bill Failed - Senate (8 - 90) This was a good thing so I was wondering why this failed so miserably till I looked it up. This bill also extended the assault weapons ban for another 10 years.
  12. <--- M&P 9C Still holds 13 rounds
  13. That must have been a very small kidney stone or you are one hell of a tough guy Well, I was a Marine. :-) Another time about 10 years agao I was using a post driver driving post into the ground for a chain link fence if you know what that is. I was bringing it up on the post and it got caught on the lip of the post and come straight down on the top of my head. It took me to my knees for a couple minutes with blood running down the side of my face. "IF" I had went to the doctor I'm sure it would've took stitches but I just threw a bandage on it and went onto work the next day. All is well. Besides the kidney stone, the only other time I ever been to the doctor was about 4 years ago for a fractured wrist playing basketball. If I had known it was just a fracture I probably wouldn't have gone then. I was still able to play my banjo with a cast on though. :-)
  14. "Oh, your leg got amputated by a mortar round? Well... take this motrin and see if it helps. Meanwhile we'll write you a 24 hr pass from work." That reminds me when I was in Hawaii in the Marines. I had a kidney stone just killing me. The Navy doc gave me Tylenol3 and sent me on my way. Well, after 3 days and nights of excruciating pain, it finally passed surprisingly easy. I never went back to do a follow up.
  15. Debate is good if its kept civil. The only thing I know Obama wants is getting the troops out. I think he might have changed on that a little. The only other thing is "Change". Change what?? Everybody wants the troops home, it's just a matter of when.
  16. I'm still not getting any. I use comcast and get notifications from defensecarry.com and they look identical to the system TGO uses.
  17. Let's settle this once and for all. Everyone knows this is, for the most part, an anti-Obama forum. For the pro Obama people, state your case for him. "Facts" would be nice. Everybody be nice.
  18. Just doing some picking at Cades Cove.
  19. The right to individual gun ownership is necessary to ensure freedom and personal security. 67% This one now at 68%
  20. Here's you one for $550,000. http://www.maritimesales.com/PI12.htm You could pay it off after one drug run.
  21. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,294236,00.html With that kind of money, why not?
  22. I'm only on day 23 for mine. I still gotta wait it sounds like. A guy I work with told me he got his in 2-3 weeks. HUH??? I didn't think to ask him how long ago that was.
  23. uh oh your boy JJ is in a little trouble. http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2008/jul/17/tyree-sheriffs-ad-violates-civil-service-rules/
  24. I thought it was funny, the 3 cops having a little conference talking it over. The dude was a tad bit arrogant, even though he was within his rights.
  25. I appreciate it. I used to play with Wild Blue Yonder a few years ago mostly in East Tennessee. This reminds me of a store I saw in a magazine one time. B&B Guns and Banjos Shop in Alabama. What a combination.
