  1. Yep, I was watching a cop show the other night and the lady cop called an SKS an AK-47. DOHHH. We were out Christmas eve test firing a 410 shotgun at 9:30. LOL
  2. I admit I am shotgun ignorant. I have a 410 single shot FIE that says 3" on the barrel. I was wondering if you could also shoot 2 3/4 shells through this?
  3. Ditto. Treated myself with the 1911 for stopping smoking. Now waiting for an AR or similar.
  4. I had the older double stack. Trigger pull took a little getting used to, but I loved it. No problems at all with it.
  5. I thought the same thing. But it's not as hard as I thought it was going to be. Just opened an account at another bank , kept my old account open, and just started switching things over. No time limit. Took about a week or so for my direct deposit to kick in, then closed my account. Good riddance Regions.
  6. Reminds me of a store in Alabama I think. Clydes Guns and Banjos.
  7. Get down almost level with the socket and look at the reflection on the socket.
  8. Print this picture out. Use a chrome deep well socket and stand it up on the double circle.
  9. Teufel Hunden didn't go over well with the WW1 Germans. Some of you will know what this means.
  10. I also dropped Regions about 2 weeks ago and went to a Credit Union. Even if they didn't start that charge, I was leaving them anyways because they started posting the Gunbuster sign. When I was closing my account, I made sure that they knew about it. BTW, they still got the last laugh charging me $8 for a cashiers check. Good riddance.
  11. Really ohshoot? Are you really wanting to go there?
  12. Yea, I was gonna just get a little white-out and dab it on them. That should help a lot.
  13. So I had to go try out my new to me Springfield Range Officer 1911. I wish the pics could've turned out better. It was even better than I could ever expect with the only drawback being the sights on it not having any dots whatsoever. So with me having to wear glasses anyways and the bad sights, this is what I did at 15 ft. Disregard the hole at top. [/img] Had a little scare when a round failed to come out from the chambered after being fired. Turned out the girlfriend accidentally loaded one .40 round and it fired and the case expanded in the chamber. It came out ok by rodding it and nothing got hurt thank goodness. Here are what we took to play with. Left to right. Springfield 1911 Range Officer that I just got last week, XD-40, XD-9, and Ruger LCP 380. While girlfriend was shooting, the cable broke and target fell to the ground. LOL Wasn't her fault though it just came loose from where it was mounted.
  14. OMG, I think these started out with good intentions. But now are getting out of control being taken over by modern hippies.
  15. I like Cain, but was wondering what happened to his support of the Fair Tax.
  16. Yes, it is the lower left one. Number 4. I would've posted earlier, but my girlfriends trailer got broken into tonight and was comforting her. They didn't find her gun thank goodness. She was setting in her driveway with it waiting for the cops to show up. She's never really owned or fired a gun till she met me. She wasn't really against them, just not around them much. Now maybe I can get her to go get her HCP and she will stop saying things like "Do you have to carry everywhere we go?"
  17. UPDATE I'm about positive this is it. I just noticed a small shiny spot on the right side mag release. I carry about 3 o'clock or 330 sometimes, so I believe the cause would be my seatbelt in the truck rubbing on that side mag release. BTW, Lumberjack, if you reread my post I said I "DO" keep one chambered.
  18. I know what you're talking about on the mall postings. Even though you might not know it's there, their intent is that you not carry there, but it is not a proper posting. So just CC.
  19. Wow, I don't know where that came from, as XD's are very reliable and have had zero problems with mine.
  20. I thought of the same thing. If I had to draw, the mag would've just fell to the ground and only one round to use. BTW, I do keep one chambered. Only thing I can think of is I had it in my range bag holstered, and maybe the mag release hit something in the bag. Corrective action will be to double check mag is fully seated before wearing. I always check my loaded indicator, so one more check won't be a problem.
  21. I had an almost embarrassing situation today. I was carrying my xd-40 all day IWB with shirt pulled over it but not tucked in. I went to Knoxville to a tool store, to a mall (Not properly posted), and loaded and unloaded a rick of wood. Got home and noticed that my magazine is just floating in my gun and not fully seated. I was able to just grab it and pull it out. The mag release is outside the holster, so I don't believe the holster caused it. Could have been potentially embarrassing at some of the places I was at today.
  22. This doesn't come up on google, but I can tell you where it is. Go 411S out of Maryville, it's in the little strip mall before the Maryville Wal-Mart. NOT the Alcoa one.
  23. Heck, the glare off my head would just blind the cameras.
