  Honestly any 1911 you get will be a good shooter, unless you have a lemon... which I've never had nor have any of my friends ranging from cheaper models like Tarus/RIA to the high ends Nighthawks/DW.   I think if I could start from scratch with the 1911 platform it would be the Ruger.  Like I said it doesn't matter what we say as long as you are happy.

I can't see the pictures at work but I used to have an 07 G35 Coupe, the VQ35DE is a fun motor.  The only way to make real power with these motors are F/I.  I think they sound great with high flow cats (or no cats) and a nice exhaust.  Congrats :up:

To me Vipers have been turds up until 2004, especially the 93's with zip up windows.  They have the same interior as the Chrysler Town and Country, just like Corvettes had/have Tahoe interior.  Now this doesn't mean they can't be fun.  Especially with a blower :)   Hopefully the newest one takes SRT (I know the C7 does) into a better class, haven't had a chance to be in one yet.

I have a Colt m1991 and Remington R1 in government size and a RIA officer model.  I honestly shoot the officer the most and by most I mean way more than either of my other two.

This gun is in my next top 5 purchases.  I just don't know what number.  Somewhere between 2 and 5. 

  I've heard of people carrying one but more as a "show piece" or something along those lines.  Seems dumb.  Plus I don't own a strong enough belt to carry it hahaha.

I run into stuff like this at work as well.  One of my co-workers was saying he wanted a Desert Eagle like I just purchased to carry... in .50AE.  I simply stated, "The gun is a little much for me to carry and it weighs too much for an EDC".  My co-worker stated he wanted it just incase somebody was trying to run him over and he could shoot through the front of the car, through the engine block, the firewall and probably out the trunk.    Carry a Desert Eagle blows my mind, unless you shop at bigger and taller.  Really kidding, to carry a Desert Eagle seems pointless in any situation.

I wouldn't even know where to start with one of these.  I guess lots and lots of fruit.

I paid $470 new with night sights on my RIA Compact .45 1911.  I'm not sure exactly what model it is (purchased in 2012), all I know it has the skeleton trigger/hammer and no rail.  I wouldn't sell it for less than that today (AKA I won't sell it lol).  I like my RIA better than my Remington and my Colt 1911.

  Yes I am very excited, I don't even know if I will ever shoot it.  Even though he threw in one box of ammo with it.    The more I look at custom guns, the more I like the "jeweled" trigger/hammer/safety combo with the hard chrome/nickel plated.

Well you have about 14 more colt 1911s than I do.  Looks great though!
