I know I'm jumping in on this a bit late, so I'm just going to add one long rant and leave it at that. Because I think we all can agree nothing any of us say on this forum is going to cause the other to change their mind. It sounds basically like what is called Pascal's Wager or Pascal's Gambit. In philosophy class at Pellissippi we started off proving that the desert god exists. The desert god being a non-specific all knowing, all loving, all powerful god. The religious were all happy with the proving points, the non-religious sat there and listened then argued respectfully. When we got to the disproving of an illogical desert god, the religious about shat themselves. While some presented pretty valid arguments, most were "Because that's not what the bible said!" And got all huffy and puffy. , but I think this is the blind belief bkelm18 was talking about. The complete belief in a book that has been written, copied, translated, and then canonized all by a man just seems silly to me. If you want to believe in religion, great. But don't use your beliefs to persecute the beliefs of others and then go crying to mommy when someone stands up for what they believe. As far as the original post, I don’t think morals have fallen as far as you think. There have always been a percentage people who act “immorally†and now thanks to are growing population, media, and internet we are able to hear about these people more easily. But morality a subjective term. Who defines it? Stanford defines morality as: “1) A descriptively to refer to some codes of conduct put forward by a society or, a. some other group, such as a religion, or b. accepted by an individual for her own behavior or 2) Normatively to refer to a code of conduct that, given specified conditions, would be put forward by all rational persons. But what society are we talking about? That is something for someone way smarter than me to ponder on. Clearly this forum has quickly jumped on the Christian Morality train. Religion vs. Evolution aside, our society is clearly evolving, and so are our morals. Going by that "Golden Rule" idea profgunner mentioned way back on post 1, always seems to be a good choice. This guideline of treating others as you want to be treated is not an original biblical idea. The Code of Hammurabi, Taoism, and Egyptians all had a similar idea. It only makes sense that if humanity wants to grow, they will have to come together in some fashion.

I haven't seen it. But I must say, when I saw the "30 Floors of Chaos" banner for some reason I thought of the "Four Floors of Whores" in Singapore. No clue why. Apparently most critics like it though, and since critics and I usually disagree I have to agree with ls3_kid; I'll be skipping this movie.

My troop was lucky enough to stay together when the numbers dwindled down to a handful. Thankfully we had a few good leaders to make it happen. Eagle Scout, 2001.

Trail camera drafted for home defense??
wewoapsiak replied to QuietDan's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Not a trail camera solution, but Woot! has some gear surveillance gear up today. No clue if they are deals or not. The first doesn't come with a hard drive. http://www.woot.com/ http://moofi.woot.com/moofi/theygrowsofast -
I know this thread has pretty much ended, but I found this while watching some of his videos today:

Do ya'll eat Hush Puppies with your Barbecue?
wewoapsiak replied to Will Carry's topic in General Chat
I think it's a part of the country thing. Growing up in Western NC I remember eating hush puppies with barbeque, but most of the time it was at fish places. When I lived in Charleston, SC I couldn't find a place that served BBQ and hushpuppies, only seafood places had them. When I lived near Seattle they had no clue what hushpuppies were, let-alone good BBQ. -
You are completely right, I was waiting for him to get the rifle first and being a little silly I guess. Which was received in fine condition, minus one magazine; but that is small potatoes. G&R Tactical is the name. I bought from them last year, and had no issues for what that is worth.

The glock was christened as Elvira. The girlfriend was angry when I bought the AR b/c I said I'd only buy one gun (the glock) so it was given the name Home Wrecker. She gave up after the next 4 came in.

It wasn't in TN, but I won't name them. No one is complaining, as long as the rifle gets here alright. Just weird to me that the owner sends a crazy email, then a few hours later there is a tracking # for the rifle. It was for a M&P 15 Sport.

Wanted to get different opinions on this. So my buddy bought a rifle from an internet based firearm business. When he order the rifle, it was out of stock so he figured it'd just be back ordered since the buy button was still active. The owner sent a nice ranting email to him today, complaining about him ordering something that was marked "Out of Stock" and said if he wanted a refund he would require a 15% restocking fee for something they didn't even have in stock. A email was then sent to the owner, stating that he'd rather wait for the firearm instead of getting his money back. And wouldn't you know it a 11 lb box is headed to a FFL in Knoxville right now. My mind went automatically to this business is stocking, "hoarding", firearms so they can raise their prices when the great Obama scare is fully underway. Thoughts?

I did a quick search and didn't find this, but it's from 2011 so this might be a repost. The 7 Most Stupidly Overpowered Hunting Weapons Even though they aren't all weapons... And I think the turkey guillotine is awesome.

Ahh. Got ya, thanks for explaining guys. We always did this on the ship too, but I never paid attention to how the scoring worked.

Ok, so I'll admit it. I don't watch basketball and when I saw it was free with no prize, I just did this to have something to do. So how does the ranking work on the brackets? It seems weird that the #1 and #2 people have the same # correct, but #1 still has a higher score. And I have 16 correct but I'm in between two people with 17 correct.

I think that's the one walmart in the area I haven't been too yet. I forget about it every time I'm out and about.

I tried looking "all over" Knoxville last month. Only place that had them was the Walmart on Clinton Hwy.

Hey guys, I don't know if anyone else will get this error but Tapatalk told me my version had expired blah blah blah. To fix it I uninstalled the app and downloaded the app from GetJar, everything is working again. Sent from my Jitterbug -
I enjoyed the movie, I understand if you were a christian how parts or all of it would offend you. While agree it did portray the workers as lowlifes, it was needed to develop the plot a bit. I'm a fan of the movies that leave you hanging, so overall I thought it was a good movie. It was not nearly as action packed or good as other movies he has been in (Taken). I wouldn't stay for the scene after the credits, just google it and watch it at home.

I learned a good lesson with Walmart last week; always ask if possible. I drove here and there trying to get a 10/22, finally went to wally world on Clinton hwy. Only had a few rifles out and no 10/22s. I asked and the guy in sporting goods about it and he said they had a hundred or so rifles in the back, he was just too busy to keep everything out there that he should. I was also amazed at the giant book they had of firearms they could order.

My girlfriend requires a bit more than a hole in a paper plate to keep her interested at the shooting range. I don't drink soda, so I don't get many cans saved up so I thought about getting these for .22 plinking. Just curious if anyone has used them and had problems, they state the minimum distance is 25 yds for a 22. IIRC OhShoot has had a 22 come back at him from some sort of spinner, so I'd like to avoid that.

I think you're reading this part wrong "Using 5.56 mil-spec cartridges (such as the M855) in a .223-chambered rifle can lead to excessive wear and stress on the rifle and even be unsafe, and the SAAMI recommends against the practice." Read it again, using 5.56 in a barrel chambered for .223 can lead to stresses. This doesn't go both ways. A 5.56 chambered rifle is already set up to take the higher pressures of the 5.56 round, so the lower pressure of the .223 round wouldn't hurt it. Then again, this is me trying to think what you are thinking as you read, so I could be talking out my cornhole.

5.56, so can use either. Sent from my Jitterbug.

Ever wanted a PDF on something that might be useful after SHTF? Well are you in luck, apparently someone decided to upload 11 gigs of information on Pole Shift Survival Information website. Some of it is interesting, some of it is eh, but enjoy the read... http://www.pssurvival.com/
