  1. The TMZ report has to be complete garbage. If the Haydens really did have multiple Class III firearms for which they could not account, there would be no more Red Jacket. Just ask Sabre Defence how the ATF handles situations like that...
  2. Complete Kidd 10/22
  3. BCM 14.5" middie
  4. I did my transfers with Doug, too. I'll still be doing my Class III stuff through him, and I'll be sending the wifey through his HCP class sometime soon. I don't know anyone else doing $20+$10 transfers locally, but for an extra $5, I'd recommend Ace Pawn on Clinton Hwy. Nice folks over there.
  5. Gave my Diplomat a makeover...
  6. Currently issued M4's are 1:7 with extended feed ramps.
  7. With apologies to Dolomite, don't get too hung up on the twist rate. For everything you're intending to do with your gun, 1:7 will work just fine. The only time you'd ever notice any difference in performance is on soft (read: living) targets at long ranges. Heck, manufacturers like LaRue even make 1:8 barrels nowadays as a "best-of-all-worlds" compromise.

  11. Just capped Regions last week after 13 years. It's not the fee--it's the principle. I've had an account with ORNL since I was born, and frankly, there was nothing that I could get from Regions that I couldn't from ORNL--at much better rates, to boot. It was a pain in the arse to cancel my direct deposit and switch over all my automatic drafts, but at least it was just a one-time hassle. I'm glad to hear that Regions finally saw the light, but it was too late to keep my business.
  12. ...and the Saiga-12...
  13. Latest iteration of the Arsenal SGL-21...
  14. My wife is a makeup artist too, so I know more about this stuff than I should. Your girlfriend does great work!
  15. You've got it. In TN, if you are carrying a firearm in public, it is presumed that you are committing a crime, unless and until you can prove otherwise by presenting a valid HCP. This is not the case in many other states.
  16. Sorry, but you've been misinformed. You are not required to inform an officer that you are carrying a firearm if stopped, but most consider it good form to do so. If you are stopped BECAUSE you are carrying a firearm, however, you must produce a valid HCP on demand. Unlike Oregon, it is illegal for ANYONE to carry a firearm in public in TN, and the HCP is simply a defense to the law. Bingo. It is not illegal to carry a firearm openly in Oregon, so the officers had no probable cause to believe that the man was committing any sort of crime.
  17. Nope, no night vision built into the Elcan. It has a red dot for 1x mode, and an illuminated, compensated crosshair for 4x mode. Imagine if an Aimpoint and an ACOG got together and made a baby...an ugly, brown, 2-pound baby...that cost more than than the two of them combined...
  18. Which thing? The optic is an Elcan SpectreDR, and the thing up front is a Laser Devices DBAL-I2 infrared pointer/infrared illuminator/green laser.
  19. Yet another update to my Mk18. This one's getting pretty clone-ish at this point...
  20. Cool beans. Weird that I still had my Benefactor tag the whole time, though...
  21. More gooder. Was something actually up with my account, or was it that my Benefactor status had expired without notice? I went ahead and made a payment, just in case.
  22. Just as the title says. I got a 'full inbox' notification today and found that my capacity had been reduced to 50 (despite having 124 total messages in both the inbox and outbox at the time). I also noticed that my tag had reverted to 'TGO Member', and I can't seem to find the option to customize it anymore. I'm still showing up as a Benefactor, so I'm not sure what's going on. Did I miss an announcement re: the software change somewhere? ETA: I'm getting a message in the trading post that I'm on a limited account, but the Benefactor banner is still there...
  23. Anyone that sent you a hateful PM is a complete moron, and I'd have no problem telling them that myself. Great job restoring that Mosin and making it YOUR OWN.
  24. ...or several lifetimes, as it were...
