I suspect he'll not find a single buyer who's willing to pay what he is expecting, unless he's willing to accept an amount far less than their actual value. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2

Metallica - Through the Never: An IMAX 3D Experience
TripleDigitRide replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
One thing kind of disappointed me. I was a little surprised that so few people watching the show were really getting into it. I was expecting the theater crowd to add at least a little something to the experience, but that definitely wasn't the case. Out of respect for those behind me, I did manage to stay in my seat. Those around me were actually making me feel a bit guilty for rocking out, even while remaining seated. I spent far more time watching the show than I did everyone around me, but the two guys to my right and the couple to my girlfriend's left were a bunch of schlubs. I didn't spot a single toe tap or fist pump from those next to us. The number of empty seats was somewhat surprising, too. I think the showing before ours started around 4:00 p.m. I didn't take an actual count, but I'm guessing about 20 people attended that showing. Ours started at 7:00 p.m., and I'm guessing maybe 100-150 people were in attendance. There were a TON of empty seats. If I didn't have the best seats in the house, I would have moved to seats that weren't so crowded. -

As expected, the show ******* rocked! It was 90% concert, 10% movie. They played most of the popular songs. Much of the camera/3D work made you feel as if you were on stage with the band. I left wanting to punch someone in the mouth. I'd see it again. -
Truckers to shut down DC for 3 days starting October 11th?
TripleDigitRide replied to a topic in General Chat
Company drivers could "strike", but when it comes down to it, so few are willing to risk much of anything to make a point. It's all about numbers. If enough drivers were willing to take the risk, there would be very little risk. Very few companies, if any, could afford to fire a large portion of their drivers at one time. -

I think I read something about it being released in 2D within a week or so. -

Washington? No. Truckers? Yes. -

Like many others, the trucking industry — which I am part of — has long been going to hell in a handbasket. I would love nothing more than to get out of this business, but finding a job paying similar wages isn't likely going to be an easy task. Anyone willing to train, hit me up. -
what is on your adult beverage menu for the evening?

I checked with my local store. It appears we live in the wrong part of Tennessee. It can be purchased in Knoxville, Memphis, Chattanooga, but not in Nashville. WTF is up with that? -
No problem. You should be able to match at least one of those to your model, or even the part number from the current power supply.

This appears to be for the slim models. http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Dell-Inspiron-Identical-Compatible/dp/B002WPSS28/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt/177-7254657-4951818 or these: http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Dell-Inspiron-Identical-Compatible/sim/B002WPSS28/2

I don't know much about computers in general, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could buy a new case (empty tower) for $30-$50 and swap the innards from your current PC to the new case. Then you could buy a new power supply.

I've seen more loyalty among a group of middle school girls.

I've tried to price check these on a few online resources, but the prices seem to be all over the road. They aren't perfect, but they appear to be in pretty good shape. No idea of the age. I want to sell or trade these, but I don't want to price them at a price that looks like I'm trying to rip anyone off. Any rough ideas?

Any interest in a special edition TGO Life Member Battlemug?

I wouldn't argue against that suggestion. -

I would love to, but not sure I can pull it off with the TGO upper and lowers right around the corner. Hmmm.... -
I've had the same issue for several years. I couldn't afford to be off work for 6-8 weeks, so I got Cortisone shots; three shots, six months apart. I also started buying better footware with better support. I haven't had any issue in a long time. Losing weight has also helped.

Homeowners insurance: Changes to roof coverage
TripleDigitRide replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
Yep, got the very same letter. I believe they are falling inline with other homeowner insurers. Tennessee Farm Bureau is a reputable company in my opinion. In addition, two or three years ago they dropped my earthquake rider policy and no longer insure for earthquakes. Living almost smack dab on top of the New Madrid fault line, I feel it's prudent to have coverage since the odd's of a big shaker are increasing. Funny thing is... To my knowledge, no American insurance company insures for earthquakes any longer. I had to insure with a foreign insurance company reinsured by Lloyd's of London?
Lloyds of London is a very common insurer within the trucking industry. -
Homeowners insurance: Changes to roof coverage

I believe they base it on the quality (10 year, 20 year, etc.) of the shingle. They claim the professionals can tell ny simply looking at the shingles. -
I do appreciate the offer, fellas. I'm sure I'll need one for something else along the way. Until buying this house last year, my adult life has been spent living in apartments and condos. They were responsible for fixing everything, and they didn't allow tenants to work on their vehicles on premises, so I never had much need for more than a few basic hand tools. Since buying the house, I've built a work bench, bought a decent tool box, and have begun the process of accumulating the tools that every man should own. Sadly, my garage isn't as big as Harbor Freight. :D

Looks like I'm gonna have to invest in a torque wrench. I've put together a few lowers, but never an upper. That should change with the purchase of the TGO upper and lower.

What he said. Other than the name, that place is nothing like what made it famous.
