  1. A friend drove out today to check. The range is open.
  2. Tried calling, no one picks up
  3. Does anyone know if golden pond target range at lbl is open? I know most of lbl is closed, but heard this might still be open.
  4. 1) They didn't say you can't carry guns. 2) If you're in Clarksville, Mugsy's coffee is better anyways. I'm not really seeing what the big deal is.
  5. They should be ashamed for putting out a gun with that trigger on it.  Luckily, the Apex kit makes it a great trigger. Also, there was a known accuracy issue with a lot of their early 9mm's.  From what I've seen lately though, that has been fixed with the newer barrel design. I have a newer 9mm pro core with an apex trigger kit that I love.
  6. About 5 guys in my little shooting circle all own them.  We all love the gun.  It is surprisingly accurate and controllable for such a little gun. It has a hefty recoil spring, so making sure to always release it with the slide stop, or sharply from the full back position, and you shouldn't have any issues chambering a round. I would also recommend throwing a set of talon rubber grips on it.
  7. From reading the beretta forums, you have to do have the slide milled to convert a 92fs to a 92g. Hopefully OP will post what type of beretta he has.
  8. Damn, another sight to drool over. Good find!
  9. Ooops. I didn't realize he didn't say it was a 92fs. If its a model 92, he would have to replace the entire slide to go to a G. Some of the other Beretta offerings can be converted by just changing out parts.
  10. His screen name is harder than my password.   But welcome to TGO! It's a great sight, full of great people.
  11. It can't be done.  Have to get a G. If you sell the FS, I doubt it will be on the market long in Clarksville.
  12. Time to start saving my pennies!
  13. I would go with the PMR.  Mostly because they can be found for $700 cheaper. You can also find the ammo pretty regularly, and it is also cheaper vs 5.7.  Maybe if I had an elderly family member, who couldn't handle a weapon that was heavy or had much recoil, I would think about a 5.7. Not having handled one, I'm not sure how accurate that assumption is though. I have shot the PMR a few times, and it is a fun little flame thrower.  The one we shoot doesn't exhibit the jamming issues of the one in the video. It is definitely my favorite plinking pistol.
  14. I'd recommend either an XDs or a Shield. Probably an XDs 45 since you already shoot 45. I've owned an really like both of those pistols. I also carry a LCR in 38 or 357 from time to time if I'm just running down to the gas station or something.
  15. Definitely needs to file a lawsuit. I don't know the best way to prepare for this, other than to try and use your SA to best figure out whether it is really LE, or thugs pretending to be LE.  Unless I'm fairly certain that the person at my door is legit, I'd call 911 to verify.  Any sketchy person coming through my door will most likely get shot.
  16. The medium feels the most comfortable in my hand. But after trying all three at the range, I found that I am able to shoot better with the large. So, large it is.
  17. Guessing you bought it at TN Gun Country? Have seen Hickok in there from time to time.   Mine has been more reliable than my Glock 19. If you're the gun tinkering type, check out apex tactical. I put their forward set sear and trigger kit in my M&P 9. It turned what I considered a very sub par trigger into one of my favorites.
  18. Damn, wish I was having what nra37922 was having! But, coffee and cold pizza it is.
  19. Just pointing out that refusing to do business with companies that support gay pride will leave you with very few choices.  All of those companies have publicly announced their support for it.
  20. If I has the extra cash, I would buy this gun. Just so I can avoid reading about how some guy accidently shot his wife/child/innocent bystander.
  21. Guess its time to stop drinking Budweiser, Miller, and Coors then. No driving a Ford. Time to get off that gay loving windows based computer. Oh yeah, if there's a disaster, I'm sure you'll refuse assistance from the national guard. Since the military has gay pride month and all.   http://www.sfgate.com/politics/article/Military-holds-1st-event-marking-gay-pride-month-3665411.php http://workthatmatters.blogspot.com/2011/11/gay-lifestyle-beer-ads-are-just-as-lame.html http://www.webpronews.com/microsoft-like-amazon-embraces-gay-marriage-in-a-product-ad-2013-03
  22. I have one, and greatly prefer a mkii or mkiii.  It's only a sample size of one, so your results may vary.   The good: good weight. Feels like a full size pistol. Comes with two recoil springs. By changing out the springs to suit different types of ammo, I've been able to feed every non-subsonic round through it with no issues.   The bad: It's not as accurate as you would expect from a 22lr pistol.  And the safety on mine is sticky.   The ugly: the trigger.  It is absolutely horrible. Don't even try to shoot it DA. It is also very heavy, and rough on SA.

    XDs 9mm

I put the talon rubberized grip on my xds 45. It made the grip much more comfortable for longer shooting sessions
  24. I've found video to  be an valuable learning tool, it's amazing what you do that you're not aware of.
  25. If you want to learn a lot more than you really need to know on the subject, google Randy Lee's dissertation on erratic ejection and extraction in the Gen 4 Glock 9mm pistol...
