  1. delinking some of the Hittenberger 308 I just got from AIM surplus And noticed. Some of these are smaller primers than others. Can someone post a pic of a berdan vs a boxer primer in a 308 shell?
  2. Canned Meat Canned Chicken Canned Beef Canned Turkey Can Pork 10 yr shelf life
  3. Smith 22a and sig mosquito are voth good gunds for the buck
  4. Buy a Para Ord. and dont worry about reloading LOL P12, p14, or for the shot placement challenged, the P18 in .38 Super
  5. To a collector, if its not the original numbered to the gun box or case, it detractsfor example..... I traded a S&W 28-2 6" out of my collection to a shadt used car salesman on here , showed him the tag where I bought it originally, and figured I would be able to get it back frpm him in a week ot 2 for that price. It was a numbered gun, original box, paperwork, including holster brochure and kraft paper. he posted it on here and sold it bin 2 days. Not a huge deal, but easily a $650 gun and he sold it for that. Didn't think there were any smith collectors around and still kick myself for the trade You can bet he will never lay his meathooks on the Colt 1911 / 1918 I just bought for my son, although I may let him look at it. LOL
  6. J. P. Sauer is german. Sweizerishe Industrie-Gesellschaft or SIG in shor is Swiss. SIG Holdings AG in 1976 acquired significant stocks of the J.P. Sauer & Son Company, which was located in Germany, and during the late 1970s started the manufacture of the SIG-Sauer P220 pistol in Germany. Modern Firearms - Handguns - Sig-Sauer P220 pistol SIG SAUER (SIGARMS until October 2007) is the US representative of Swiss/German manufacturing firm Swiss Arms AG, which was split off of Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft (SIG) in 2000. SIGARMS was established in 1985 to import and distribute SIG firearms into the United States although it now also has some manufacturing capabilities. As of 2000 it has been a separate entity. The original SIG Arms AG parent company was simultaneously renamed as Swiss Arms AG. SIG Sauer how much do we love Google?
  7. Like mine, fun to shoot, sights suck for me (nearly blind), but easy to install rails are available.
  8. mike is an ammo snob! Mike is an ammo snob! LOL My rimfires are so spoiled they try to escape if I sat g-o-l-d-e-n-b-u-l-l-et A;sp that target from earlier in the post is a 25yd bench tarfet for rimfire. can be used at 50 if you are good, but never seen anybody try it at 100. 100 yd target is 1" black circles As for the OP's last question, bipod is quick set up, least stable, rests are more adjustable quickly, and sandbags are the most stable, but least adjustable of the three.
  9. Para's don't compare to anything else, I have 2 a P12 and a P14. Ive had the P12 forYEARS! and no plans on getting rid of it. Almost bought one for the wife a few years ago, but she doesnt like the .45 recoil and went with a CZ 2075RAMI in 9mm. It actually has more recoil than my P12 with stiff springs.
  10. sp whata we know about the EMAGS? as ewloable as PMAGS? Whars another $150 after all?
  11. Jason at gear sector is a good guy to deal with, ordered the gs-2p and M4 stock ada[ter Feels like Christmas LOL
  12. ok, SO i SAID THE HECK With it and did overkill, ordered 1 of each and the magpul sling and told him to send me the mags ghe doesnt want. On a side note, the lancer mags use a special tool to disassemble, they look like they could be done with a knofe blade or such to remove the bottom, but... Todd@CIS, thanks for the suggestions, sent him some links to look at. Well since Im gonna get some AR Mags soon, guess its time to get a piston driven I been wanting LOL
  13. So the boy calls me today, and has decided he needs some better magazines before he leaves May 8 for AFG. After asking around, the magazines I am interested in are the Pmags with the window, and the lancer translucent. These will be protecting my firstborn and heir to the family fortune (LOL) so I am not looking for the best cheapest deal, I am looking for the MOST RELIABLE mag for the AR platform. I dont want him to be in the boonies noodling with a FUBAR mag ubder the rockets red glare if ya know what I mean. Lancer Systems | L5 Translucent Magazine PMAG 30, 5.56x45 - PMAG 30 MagLevel, 5.56x45 Magazine - AR15/M16 Also wants a magpul MS2 sling, but I am leaving that decision up to him, http://store.magpul.com/product/38/52
  14. I just got this in an email, can anyone confirm or deny? I am more curious about the "gun tax" on the 1040 then the Blair holt One of my officers sent this out. VERIFIED - TRUE by snopes.com snopes.com: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act As if we didn't have enough to get upset about! If you have a gun, I hope it isn't registered! It begins... more Freedom gone... the right to protect yourself and your family gone! Now ALL GUNS must be listed on your next (2010) tax return! Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It will require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun. This bill was introduced on February 24, 2009, by the Obama staff. BUT, this bill will only become public knowledge 30 days after the new law becomes effective! This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee has passed this without the Senate voting on it at all. Trust Obama? You must be kidding! The full text of the IRS amendment is on the U.S. Senate homepage: www.senate.gov. ; You can find the bill by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2099. You know who to call; I strongly suggest you do. Please send a copy of this e-mail to every gun owner you know. Text of H.R.45 as Introduced in House: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009: www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h45/text Obama's Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don't fully comply. It has begun... Whatever Obama's "Secret Master Plan" is... this is just the 'tip of the iceberg!' Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009. Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because the government is trying to fly it under the radar as a 'minor' IRS revision, and, as usual, the 'political' lawmakers did not read this bill before signing and approving it! To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Goggle HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information. Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless: 1) It is registered 2) You are fingerprinted 3) You supply a current Driver's License 4) You supply your Social Security number 5) You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing Each update change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25. Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail. There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 years in prison. If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family pass this along. This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it. This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not..
  15. just figured out I left 2 games blank. Good Luck to yall, Im out of it, did pick rutgers tho
  16. they probably gave you a new mag, the first sets they sent out were ziggy and woulfnt feed correctly, something about the follwer. a;so, I noticed on the wifes you can put 7 roiunds in the mag, but it will not engage or function correctly with 7 rounds in the mag. the safety issue was with very early models. The wife loves hers, its the rainbow model with the rosewood gripsAnd has fed anything we have [ut thrpough it. hope this helps
  17. LOL, and I type just as bad in the daylight OK, lets see if I have this then, An FFL can only buy pre-86 Samples, which are not a great deal really, so would be better off buying transferable mg's FFL/SOT can buy post-86 sa,ples, but has to surrender them if you let the SOT lapse and you have to get a letter from LE for each item PIA jason, twolane, and all appreciate your responses
  18. OK, so if no licsense is needed to buy and possess "non transferable, or "dealer samples", then why cant I buy those weapons at the lower prices? My thinking was if the FFl is 500 and the SOT is 3000 and then you sabe 6000 to 10K on your NFA purchases in a year, why not get the FFL/sot? if you let your FFL lapse after 3 years say, would you have to sell the Post ban NFA items you purchased dyrung the 3 yrs? Or are there certain Items you can keep after you turn in/ lapde your FFL/SOT? Can someone with an FFL purchase NFA items, specifically "dealer" utems?
  19. Went to the range today with magicarpetrides and ge brought his bullet hoise. It was like dropping a coke fiend in Columbia. After about 300 rounds downrange, I think I want a machine gun, automatic weapon, whayever you call it. So what do I need to know? I am thinking UZI, m-11, Thompson, something in handgun caliber because I shoot mostly indoors. possibly mp-5 but may be out of my price range. Would like something that has a 22 conversion available. Also was wondering what it takes to get a Class 3 license and be able to buy non transferable new weapons. If you gpo with mutiple weapons, suppressors is this a better option? Any help would be appreciated.
  20. somebody shoot me a pm if ya do this again, please.
  21. Magic and I left earlly to get down there, with the rain and traffic conditions, I dont think my heart could have taken all the excitement of the 6 hour druve. Anyone else ever ridden with Magic? Helps to close your eyes even if your blind. LOL We gave up and backtracked to the expo show in knoxville. Saw a couple camp 9's I was interested in, and then found a S&W Model 41, ore-73 that I really wanted. but at $1300Logic prevailed and I decided that the child support I would have to paid over the next years would have put the cost too high. Nice show though. Talked to the wife and we will be coming down for the Weekend at the next show in March. she said it is close enough to Chattanooga to go shopping for the day (Wait...wonder if it would be cheaper to get the moidel 41 after all:). I am sad I missed the first show, but I know the next one will be even better. was looking forward to seeing Joe's ar15 lowers in those funky colors and talking to someone about a gas piston upperm which I am interested in. AND wanted to see that BDCscope that barrett has put out, but nonone wants to get a sample of because of the price
  22. If yoiu go and Wayne shows you something and says"I know this blind guy who probably will buy this the next time hes here", please buy it before I get there. LOL Great people
