Started in March since I was going to have to hunt for the wife's She is getting a model 65LS ladysmith that tokk me 4 months to find, and picked up a model 60LS on a good deal earlier in case I didnt find the Kframe she wanted. She also got something sparkly:) Been teaching th girls, twins, to shoot long guns this year and they are getting good, but their hands are to small to shoot their mom;s 22A, so I got them consecutivly numbered Sig Mosquitos in Pink from Buds gun shophttp://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/411535607 Got my mom some mags for her CS9, and I think my wife got her a freshwater pearl necklace and made my brother get her a matching bracelet. My stepdad is getting a set of CTCLG-207's and that model 11 Remington that I just bought from my82cam on here. His fathers was stolen about 10-12 years ago on a hunting tripin Kansas that he took me on and I didnt pay a dime and until this year, I havent been able to get him a replacement. I know its not the same gun, it was a matched set with a 16G model11 bith with polychoke, but I think he will appreciate the gesture,. Pv2Hillbilly Jr. is getting one of my wathes that he has always wanted, LG-402M llasergrips for his M9, And His car back since he is now stationed at Ft. Campbell. Oh, and he gets a ride home on TUESDAY!!!!!!!!!!! GONNA BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS AFTER ALL!!!! As for me, I dont know what Im getting. Had to sink alot of coin back into the business in Oct and Nov, and expect to put more back in in Dec. but that OK, Im spendiing more time at home with the girls(all three of them), and get to spend some time with the boy(can I still call him that?), so Im happy. I hope this doesnt sound like bragging, but We are coming off a "7 lean year" stretch and I had a pretty good one this year and wanted to make up for some of the crummy ones when I was always working. The picture doent show it, but there is a big difference in the two colors. Something about the lighting or background in the hero gear pic, but it is not Pepto pink, actually several shades darker. Will try to add pics to this thread to show the difference

Confusiuon about "Castle Doctrine"
HillbillyMafia replied to wjh2657's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
If you can’t see, you can’t pass the HCP course Thats what I thought too. what got me started on the HCP odyssey was meeting a man who was "stick" blind who had his HCP. He was a member of the NFB and I met him in Nashville at a convention. I did. and my best corrected vision in my best eye is 20/200. SSA sats Im blind. State says Im blind. I took the class, passed the test, and put 45 put pf 48 oin the Black. nothing in the requirements says you cannot get a HCP if your blind. IMO Part of the reason is discrimination issues, and they figure anyone who is blind wont try for it with the cost of the class, and application fees I guess. Anyway back to the ?'s. 1. If you waited till the BG was "within striking distance" of you standing, say 10' and you believe you could draw, get on target and fire in that time, then I would say that is a safe distance for you. However if you were in a wheelchair, or Sticks for that matter, you already know you cant outrun him, or increase distance, so is 10' still plausible. Another ? if you were on sticks, with a waist holster, would you be quick enough at 10" to drop our sticks, draw, get on target, and fire in 10'with lots oif practice, I THINK this might be doable. but then a wheelchair...a waist holster, arguably the quickest location to get to your weapon and draw, is virtually inaccessible in a chair with arms. The things i came up with on this one, were a shoulder rig, a vest pocket, under the leg(not the best idea, but plausible, or OC in a holster attached to the side of the wheelchair, or [possibly CC in a holster attached to the inside of the chair armin a crossdraw position. All slow choices, so say , to my mind at least, 25' would be a reasonable distance. 2. This one is harder to come up with a good demonstration, but this is what i thiought of. get in toiur car, start it up, rollup all the windows, crank the radio, put on a hat, with "blinders(i used cardboard and tape to do this oneattached to a ball cap), then concentrate on doing a crossword puzzle, with the paper laying in the passenger seat. the belief here was if you cant induce the absense of sound, then overload the sense to obliviate it. then have a friend come up and start tapping on the window rill he gets your attebntion. Scared the bejeez out of me. at that point try to make an informed decision with the facts you have, outof breath, gun in hand, beating on window. I dont think I could find it in myselkf not to try to draw . 3. Sa change this scenario to krystaks at 3am only car, customer on the lot/. The point I was trying to make here is while you can go to alamo, enterprise, pr hertz and rent another car THAT SAME DAY. the person with the disability could not. find another one that quick come hell or high water. Also we dont want to ask for help and eides, and someone to take us to the doctor, or the store, or the mall, or the GF's houde, or the conviencne store, or the movies, or the library, yadayadayada. When that vehicle is stolen, it makes a dramatic, life changing experience even more difficult. Especially when you realiize that the insurance Co will probably not pay to re[place all the accessibilty devices you will need to operate the vehicle. While I agree with your thoughts, I think it would be a bitter pill to swallow, but it is just property 4. I made this one to easy, LOL i AM TRYING NOT TO BE ARGUMANTATIVE!!!!!!! but I do want opinions, as these issues are what comes up when we with disabilities get together and talk about the state of the union, the breakdown of society, and mankind at his worst. A lot of the choices and abilities you have are not available to us. -

death and great bodily harm, huh? So , are physical handicaps considered as extenuating circumstances my question? Guy comes into your yard with a baseball bat threating to beat your brains out. Would you shoot him? How about if you were in a wheelchair? You hear a pecking on your car window at a red light. you turn to see a man with a gun in his hand, out of breath, asking you to call the police because hes just been "Jacked". Would you shoot him? What If you were deaf, and just happened to turn and see an out of breath guy with a gun beating on your car window? You come out of the mall and see someone backing your car out of a parking place. would you shoot him? What if the van is handicapped accessible with a lift, and hand controls, because you are a parapalegic amd it would take upto a year, and 100K to replace? Mu scenario...You are leaving work, standing on the corner waiting for your carpool to pick you up, when a man walks up to you and says"Give me your wallet, or I'll cut you up." Would you shoot him? What if you were legally blind and couldnt see due ro rhe glare of the sun in full sunlight? OK, in my case where do those lines begin and end? From 10' I couldnt tell if the guy had a gun, rock, candlestick, ot a smiley face burroin in his hand. So my plan is easy, draw first and call the law. If they refuse to stop, get down or resume advancing towatd me, i will shoot. and I will nor shoot to wound. I dont feel that I have the luxury of doubt in these situations, as i cant see anyway. -
you guys need help. best deterrent is to make it look like you have nothing to steal. Couple of old junk cars on blocks full of trashbags, front porch falling off due to weight of even mpore trashbags, mangy arsed dogs everywhere digging around in even MORE trashbags, Fat nekkid hillbilly sitting on the falling down froint porch full of trashbags and empty beer bittlers (feel free to use a mannequin here, PLEASE!). then when yoiu walk in the kitchen FILLED WITH TRASHBAGS, and pull the chair away from the table, an elevvator is revealed leading to the Playboy Mansion LMAO

The little monster in my avatar at 8 weeks old, couldnt even jump on the couch then.... now hes about 25# and all miscle. Ever notice how they do a burn out with their back legs when they bark? And snore...Mywife gets up when I am snoring and sleeps in the living room and puts Brutus in the bed with me. My daighters have heard the two of us trying to outsnore each other from the other end of the house with all the doors closed and waking them up. And GAS, how the heck can they do that, clear a room in a minute, and hes laying there like nothing happened, and does it while asleep and doesnt wake up. INBELIEVABLE! I always had big dogs, rotts, pits, but never liked Dobes, something about them always scared the number 2 out of me. maybe traumatic experience as a child or something, by the way, Higgins dobes were named Zues and Apollo. "Zues! Apollo! Kill!" That always made me LMAO my other best friend is at Ft, Jacksin, 5th week of AIT and has just dropped the bomb that he is going to volunteer for airborne, oassed his physical today and paperwork pending. would leave him at Bragg instead of Korea though, so there is an upside , we would get to see him more Hillbilly

Joe, I was tere a few months ago looking for a cary handle scope rail. Had issues getting someone to help me find the part I was looking for, and then it was not in stock. Left without making a purchase, and have not returned, Just a little far for me to get a ride to west Knox. Mitigating Circumstances.... Saturday lunchtime Firing line was full and people standing around waiting to get in, possibly HCP class, not sure y0u are not MidwayUSA and I dont expect you to carry every part for every gun in the world. I am leggally blind and require a "hugher level of service" than most of your customers, of whom I expect few are Blind LOL I too run my own business and understand about customer service issues, and how they can make you want to rip employees from throat to groin, and I see you are now hiring. I figured you had either gotten rid of a problem, or were trying to improve CS, so I have decoided to give it another chance. Guys, every one makes mistakes, the guys who make em right are the good guys in my book. At least give Joe the chance to reply to your problems B4 you go all out in giving him the finger. Just my .02 cents Hillbilly

If I am a member on S&W also, and I agree that sometimes Parabellum can go a little overboard. But, hey, it's his board! If you need info on a smith, thats the place to goI asked quite a few ?'s there before I bought my 28-2 6". But just like here, I dont agree with everything said dand done on the forum. K****** should have been gone long before the mods banned him. and I dont think Rabbi was banned from the whole board, he chose to leave after his vendor status was revoked and his suspension(or thats the way I read it) I liked Rabbi and thought he was a good guy to bantter with, but he was abrasive too. My point... I know I will never agree with every decision that a Mod makes on any of these boards. If I disagree that much, I will stop using that board for an indefinite period until I get over my mad. God grant me the serenity to accept mods decisions I cannot change. the courage to chime in on the things I can, and the wisdom to step away from the keyboard before I ger banned

It hasnt come up yet, so..... my wife started out on a Taurus 38 5 shot revolver, liked the weight and size and grip, couldnt hit squat wuth it. so... S&W 22a taught her to shoot with it then... CZ2075 Rami double stack 9mm, bought 2 14rnd mags so I could shoot it too)grip way to short for my big hands, extended mags with finger rests did the trick.) Then... Sig P6 that was beggin me to take it home, Slim grips, single stack, used, easu to work the slide, and accurate as the devil (even worked well with my blind eyes) She likes em all, but carries the Sig (dammit), so I still use my Para .45

My main complaint about my DPMS is the fact that it will not, , in any way, shape, form or fashion, cycle cheap ammo reliably. Wolf, Barnaul, old S&B, any of the cheap stuff. And its picky what it will shoot, likes the fed m193, but not the 855, Remington is nearly as bad as the steel cased stuff, but eats WWB like its going out of style. Why do I put myself thru this??? Keep buying firearms that are finicky. Gonna go get a cheap AK, and some Keltecs. ARRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH! LOL other than that, I really like my evil Black rifle

We Don't Register Guns Here
HillbillyMafia replied to The Rabbi's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Tinfoil hat, huh? better than Blinderrs. Just asked a ? here and suddenly I'm a conspiracy theorist? The point I eas askiing about was this...When the government gets something on a piece of paper (real or electronic), they tend to hold on to it in a "CYA" attitude. Warehouses full of military personnel filesin OK, 56 cases of documents sent to atlanta to be freeze dried after a flood damaged them in the City/County Bldg in Knoxville from Victor Ashe;s time a mayor. So please dont tell me they dont keep records. Bah, not worth getting worked up about, goin swimming. Hillbilly
