  1. I had a similar experience with my TJ. When I would hit a bump at certain speeds, it would start shaking until I slowed down significantly. Then I could return to speed with no problem. Turns out it just needed an alignment and the wheels balanced. Tire Discounters in Bellevue took care of me. I've heard good things about Tennessee Offroad (http://4xaddict.com/) but they are in Lebanon. They also cater to the more 'hardcore' Jeepers.
  2. This isn't old school - 100 MHz was blazing fast and high tech back in the day. I thought my 12 MHz 286 was fast at one point.
  3. Agreed. They are still a bit of drive for me even from this side of town. I have found 2 FFLs about 5 miles from the house since moving to Mt. J - both always treat me right. I still frequent GGS.
  4. Phillip at Goodlettsville Gun Shop is good people. The fact you travel that far for a transfer speaks volumes.

    Snow

I used my leaf blower to clear the driveway. This was such a dry, powdery snow it did just fine.

My money is on one of you reading the metric side of the ruler... Or Bellevue has gotten significantly larger since I moved. We got over 7" out in Mt Juliet, measured on top of my flat firepit on the back patio.
  7. The only guns I really care about are 1911s for the reasons Massad mentions. Even then, it's only the nicer ones I'm very concerned about. No one wants to mess up a Nighthawk or Wilson Combat. Personally, I don't make it a matter of practice to drop the slide on any semi-auto.
  8. Just some eye candy to make monkeylizard jealous while he waits...
  9. Sent my package in before the deadline was extended. My random number was emailed in October. All 4 grades were available when I got the call. Selected a service grade and received it in December - a Remington Rand slide and frame. Definitely very, very pleased.
  10. Awesome news! An answer to several prayers... Glad she is doing well, GT.
  11. I never had anyone fail. But I've had several that would have if they didn't start listening. We always had people warm up prior to shooting for qualification. The guys who "have been shooting for 30 years" were usually the worst. I had people take the class who actually didn't own a gun - they just borrowed one for the class. The funnest part was after everyone qualified, we would pull out other guns for people to try. It was great seeing people's joy at shooting a suppressed AR for the first time. We kept people on the range for the required time but at least we made it fun.
  12. While I wholeheartedly agree with David's position, my ammo budget is very happy full autos are expensive...
  13. I'll start to get worried when I see TGO David shopping at the Nashville Ferrari dealership.
  14. Good choice! Nice they decided to cut services while increasing prices...
  15. I really want to hear the nitty-gritty details of the old hosting company - after you get some rest! I'm used to servers having at least RAID arrays; while not foolproof, they usually help with data loss.
  16. Thanks for all the effort David! Not too many people know how stressful catastrophic software failures are for the guys who have to fix them. I really, really, really hate it when I find out my backups have issues to boot. I've already updated a couple of Trading Post topics and left feedback for a couple of members. \Part of me does feel like I looked at the Men In Black memory eraser...
  17. Found 50 rounds of 200gr RNFP ammo to go with the pistol
  18. This was sold before the great server meltdown of '23. Up for sale is a very, very lightly used Geissele Super Saber trigger pack for a Tavor rifle. It greatly enhances the trigger pull on these rifles. I don't have the original box but even the extra lube comes with it. Asking $275 in the Mt. Juliet area or I can ship this if needed. These are $355 from Geissele, if they have them in stock: https://geissele.com/super-sabra-trigger-pack-iwi-tavor-x95-rifles.html. You can find new ones (in stock) for $400+ on other online resources.
  19. This is sold - thanks for the interest. Up for sale is a KelTec P3AT. I only have one mag (6 round) for this pistol. It comes with the factory box and the pocket holster shown. This makes a great backup gun sporting the .380 ACP cartridge. $175 in the greater Mt. Juliet area.
  20. This was sold before the great server meltdown of '23. Giddy up! Grab this gem and channel your inner cowboy. Just cleaning out some of my safe queens. This has been shot very, very little. I love the color case hardening on the frame. Pictures below should tell you everything you need to know. Comes with the matching box. 50 rounds of 200gr RNFP ammo included. $500 in the greater Mt. Juliet area.
  21. This is SPM Rumor has it owning one of these pistols makes you an honorary member of Seal Team 6. They never asked me to join any missions, so I can't actually confirm the rumor. But you can at least feel like a special forces operator. Continuing my safe cleaning... For sale is a like new Sig Mk 25 with three magazines All the original Sig stuff is in the box. I shot this very little; it was primarily a safe queen $1000 in the general Mt. Juliet area to any legal TN gun owner.
