  1. Generally speaking if you can afford an ar you can afford an Sbr.
  2. The good thing is there's powder to be had. Primers and bullets ehh.
  3. If you didn't already have the hk sights I'd suggest the Titan chaos rail
  4. I suggest definitely using some kind of hollow point in an AR. I just got back from a co workers house and his friend had an AD in his living room with an AR. The round went through the living room wall, into a closet, through the closet door, into the next wall and out through the brick somewhere. I wouldn't have believed it I hadn't seen the holes myself. And it was just 55gr fmj.
  5. Are you talking about bass pro? The last time I was in the one here they had SW and BM ARs and that had to at least be a year ago. I even bought PMAG. I don't really care for BP I go about every other year so I know it wasn't recently.
  6. Unfortunately $20 these days may not replace your ammo.
  7. $5 AOW stamp. You cannot put a stock on it unless you get the $200 SBS stamp
  8. I'm not even a huge Colt fan. I only have 1 6920 however as people are learning during the panic buy that all parts are not created equal. Bolts are shearing lugs because they either weren't treated right not they're using inferior steel. Things like that are my likely to happen when companies like Colt use the proper steel and Hp, and MPI their parts. Just because they have crappy finishes doesn't make them less than a DD or BCM. By your car analogy then they're a corvette with a crappy paint job but it doesn't mean it doesn't perform well. Also personally I'm not completely sold on CHF barrels. CHF was developed to mass produce barrels quickly and efficiently. Does that mean its neccessarily better? I don't really know.
  9. I don't know how you can rank a colt mid tier. They do everything that your "top tier" guns do. HP Mpi, they use better steel than someone like SW or BM. Also I don't put companies like Larue, Noveske or LWRC (for the most part) in the tier system. I consider these boutique rifles. Most of their line of rifles is not the same class (as in tupe of rifle) as a Colt, BM, SW, etc. They have features unique to their line of rifles so I cannot rank then on the same scale.
  10. I dont understand the concept of not buying something because you can't currently find its components. I understand that a gun is useless without ammo. Where I work I've seen on multiple occasions people back out of buying reloading presses bc they can't find .223 dies. As far as I know the politicians aren't after ammo (yet) so eventually it's going to come back around or you'll find some at another store.
  11. Atlas offers both a pic mount and a sling swivel attachment. The pic mount is significantly more expensive.
  12. I've worked at a gun store the last 5 years so I've always had first dibs on everything.
  13. I have a 3-9 trijicon accupoint on an AR that's awesome. Ive shot steel plates at 100 yards at night with very little moon light easily. Granted they were painted white. The glass is very clear. I have the post reticle with the triangle, which is very fast for hunting but id prefer the mil dot for target shooting. These go about $699.
  14. That seems kind a high for wolf. Even in today's market. I can think of 2 places local to me that has rws in stock for less than that.
  15. Based on the article on lucky gunner. In 5.56 anyways the bi metal jacket wears the gun out faster. Not the steel casing.
  16. I didn't know anyone was making a dissipator with an actual rifle length gas system. All the ones I've ever seen have been carbine length. Who is making them? Or are they custom builds?
  17. I currently have a yj wrangler. I'd like to find something carbeurated that doesn't use a computer.
  18. Get a triple K parts catalog.
  19. I got a good look at the guys hands. He didnt have any scars/wounds.
  20. Received you IM. Will be mailed out Monday. Here's a pic if anyone is interested.
  21. Awesome. Just PM me your address and I'll mail them to you.
  22. Is anyone here a stamp collector? I was helping my grandfather empty out his old shed and found some pretty old stamps. They're used but it looks like they date back to the 20's and 30's. I have no use for them but I'd like to give them to someone that collects stamps. We were going to just throw them away but it just seems like a waste. I'd be willing to mail them to whoever wants them.
  23. I've never fired any "factory reloads" so I don't have anything to compare them to. They were FMJs and all had different head stamps. They also came in a glad ziploc bag with a tn tax stamp. Does any of that sound normal for factory reloads?
  24. Met a guy today who had an LCP that was blown to pieces. According to him he bought some ammo from the local range and his ex was shooting it and BOOM! She was ok but her hand stung a bit. Allegedly the ammo came in ziploc bag (which I saw with a tax stamp) and was someone's reloads. If what he tells me is true then he probably has a lawsuit on his hands because I highly don't these are factory reloads.
  25. I have almost 100 ar mags. I keep almost 1/3 loaded at all times. I'm not against having more loaded I just haven't taken the time to load any more. I figure 20-30 loaded mags should get me to a point to where I can load more.
