  1. I have the sudden urge to pick up one on Taurus's "Judge" revolvers...
  2. Something about "circumcisions" and "hood" in the same sentence gave that joke something a little more!

    I suspect "ye olde photoshoppe".
  4. Here's a pic of the Yamaha I was talking about: These things have a healthy aftermarket too.
  5. Cool, I'm in Nashville too, I would love to meet up and shoot w/ you guys sometime. When do you usually go, weekends?
  6. I'm pretty sure that's the Hyosung he mentioned. I think the script on the tank says "Aqullia" or something...
  7. I'm more into sports and standards myself, but my brother bought a Yamaha V-Star 650 last year. It's a sweet bike. Aircooled V-twin, has a very "big bike look". I would check those out first.
  8. Owning one makes you look like every rap star AND cop. My two favorite categories of people!
  9. Yeah, the few I have shot, (which included a suppressed class 3 MP5 in Vegas, woo hoo) were excellent in fit and finish, but I couldnt say that I was getting anything more than HK snobbery and bragging rights for my extra $ over the G23. I just never saw myself buying a Glock, but something about that G23 has been reeling me in. Still got one in your shop Rabbi? Or did one of the Yo's pick it up, regardless that it wasnt a fully?
  10. Ok, first off: THIS IS NOT A GENERIC "WHICH IS BETTER" THREAD! Ok, so I've got an economic stimulus just burning a hole in my pocket. Currently I carry a SigPro SP2022 9mm, which is admitedly a little bulky, but I like it just fine. However I want something in .40 or .45 now. The first thought was ofcourse another Sig, but as I already have 2, (the SigPro mentioned above, and a P226 9mm), I kind of want something different. I have never owned a Glock, and generally never cared for them, but I kind of like the G23. I have never shot one, but I handled one briefly and it has good capacity, and seems very concealable. I think it has a more attractive profile than some of the other compact Glocks. I can easily pick one up for $500 or less, so that's also an attractive point for the G23. However, I have also never owned an HK, which I have admitedly always wanted. I have shot a full sized USP Tactical, which I liked very much. I'm interested in the USP Compact, which I have never seen or handled in person. It's definetly pricier, but it's an HK, what else would I expect? So, has anyone had any experiences w/ one or both of these firearms? I'm esspecially interested in the form factor of the USP Compact. Is it equal or better than the G23 in the "comfort of concealment" department?
  11. I'm thinking about giving my '04 the streetfighter treatment and picking up an '08.
  12. I've got an '04 Ninja 250, and I dont regret buying it at all. They are VERY fun bikes, cheap to buy, and easy to maintain yourself. Go to: http://www.ninja250.org for a wealth of information on the bikes. Beware of the admins on the forums though, most of them are kind of jerks.
  13. ... or write it on masking tape, that way you can swap around S/Ns whenever you see fit.
  14. Hmmm... Maybe you should strip it, let someone "over-engrave" the S/N, so it's atleast as deep as the other slide markings, then you can re-coat it. Now, I've never used duracoat, so I dont know if it will actually strip off that easily.
  15. C'mon people! When refering to shooting zombies with a shotgun, it is no longer a shotgun, it's a "boomstick". As in "Come and get me you zombie bastards, I've got a fistfull of boomstick waiting for ya".
  16. Tungsten, make sure you didnt get one of those macs that on recall. Something about no right clicking? I dont game w/ my 'puter either.

    SIG P6, P225?

I've thought about picking up one of these surplus P-6s I've seen floating around. I've got a thing for Sig... Decent prices on these babies, maybe just need to be refinished... http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Sig_Sauer_P225_P6_9mm_Pistol.html
  19. My Sig uses Glocks to wipe it's naughty bits.

For a while, they had Bargain Bin AR's for sale. I think they were $550 and $570 w/ a chorme lined barrel. According to the reviews on AR-15.com, it seems it was one of the best running deals out there. I'm kicking myself for missing out.
  23. I've been lusting after a 1911 for a while now. I've been eyeing Springfield Armory's MC Operator:
