  1. Yeah! I forgot about Summit! G17 + 2 Mags for $375, add $25 for an FFL transfer and you're out for $400 even. Can't beat that.
  2. Rhapsody does have a java based client that doesn't require you to download anything. As long as you aren't selling them out of your trunk
  3. I remember reading about their AR kit whenit first came out. It got lots of positive reviews, but in the end, you'll just have to ask yourself if you really NEED what they're offering. Personally, I'd rather spend that cash on ammo and training...
  4. I'm jealous. What's the barrel length, BTW? Did you go the Trust route?
  5. Looks fargin' sweet! Shot it yet?
  6. Personally, I'd probably go with the Stoeger or the Taurus, with the Stoeger being the first choice.
  7. I've certainly been doing my part...
  8. If you don't drink beer, the terrorists win.
  9. -USP9c -S&W Special Tactical Tanto -Wallet -Keys -LG Voyager (Verizon's early attempt at an iPhone killer... kinda sucks ) -Sometimes I carry an extra mag, but not always. There's always 2 extra mags in my car. Dude, man up and go with a soft pack
  10. Good call, I didn't even think about that. Doesn't .458 SOCOM fit into standard 30round AR mags as well? Universal mags would be a huge selling point for me.

    wow.

I don't think it's an unfair or shallow observation, but here's my two cents: Obesity in America can be blamed largely on changes in mass food production (both farming and processed foods), and lifestyle changes (that have in turn made foods of convenience into a necessity) over the past half century.
  12. Most lowers are created equal. Look for any familiar names Spike's Tactical, LMT, DPMS, Sabre, S&W, Tactical Innovations, etc. Splurge on the upper to maximize reliability. Magpul's UBR is supposed to be pretty solid, although I haven't handled one myself. I've been very happy w/ my CTR (also a Magpul product). I think an ACE stock would be a great option for what you're looking for. Brownells would be a good place to look. Lower Parts Kits are in short supply right now, so hunt around. Brownells website has a very extensive set of videos. These videos also go over what tools you'll need. Brownells - World's Largest Supplier of Firearm Accessories and Gunsmithing Tools Good luck on your build
  13. TWO phones?! I can't stand the ringing of my ONE phone
  14. 28 Days Later Dawn of the Dead (both 2004 and 1978 versions) Night of the Living Dead
  15. Nothing gets by you, does it?
  16. LOL, I was thinking the same thing. I was waiting for him to pick up one of the T-600's an d start screaming "who do you work for" in true Batman fashion I thought the movie was very visually stunning. I like gritty post-apocalyptic realizations of the future, and they definitely got this one right.

    What to Buy

CETME, wifey's 1911, and ammo, in that order
  18. I really dig my HK USP9c (V1: DA/SA w/ de-cocker & thumb safety) but it is a little pricey compared to other pistols on the market.
  19. The thing I hate about Starbucks the most is they only have one line... I wish they had two separate lines, one for Super Frothy Mocha Carmelitos or whatever the fark, and another for plain black coffee. It really chaps my ass when the 10 people in front of me have coffee orders that have 15minute prep times each, and I just want a black coffee.
  20. Just caught a noon showing of Salvation earlier today. Not too crowded and a GREAT flick. I now forgive the franchise for the travesty that was Rise of The Machines.
  21. Awesome! I miss BJJ and hope to start training again sometime soon. People just don't realize how much of a total body workout it really is.
  22. "Gators? Ohhhh... you mean GAYtors"
  23. Surely those bridges are vital to the success of the ECG (East Coast Gulag that is) that will funnel the enslaved populace into the various work camps that will be building landing pads for the return of L. Ron Hubbard (he's as alive and well as Tupac, and he has ties to the Clintons and the Obamas).
  24. I have a friend that was real into whitewater kayaking, and a few years ago he convinced me to kayak the Hiawassee with him one day. Now, I'm an extremely strong swimmer, and I'm very comfortable in the water, but I was hesitant to agree to go as I had never so much as attempted to roll a kayak before. He convinced me it was a very docile river, and I wouldn't need to know how. About 45 minutes after putting in, we went over a 3ft drop (when it's only a 3ft drop you can't call it a waterfall, right? ) and I proceeded to capsize. 3 gallons of river water later, I'm swimming my bailed kayak into the shore for a breather. You see, I really needed to catch my breath in order to curse my "friend" for not insisting to teach me to roll a kayak before our excursion. I never went kayaking again, not because I didn't want to, just because the opportunity hasn't presented itself in an opportune time again since then. I'd like to give it another shot on a more serious river... AFTER I learn to roll the damn thing in a pool
