  1. I'd be offended to if someone called be a landlocked country in Western Africa, named after the Niger river.
  2. Where's my credit card?!?!
  3. That Mosin will have almost twice the recoil of that 10/22
  4. Good points, musicman. PLUS, it's seasonal work (obviously), and if a drought comes (like last summer), you're hung out to dry.
  5. I pay a few bucks worth of gas, and lots of sweat My parents have their yard done by someone, I think it's about a 1/4 acre, and I believe they pay $30.
  6. Yeah, that's the one. I think they still have the Gun Mart II sign up on the main signage for the shopping center. Nashville Sporting Arms WAS located across from Wal-Mart further down Charlotte several years ago, but after a robbery (while they were closed) they moved to the present location. I actually bought a HD shotgun from them about 7 years ago when they were at the old location, and at that time they had decent prices, good selection, and actually pretty decent customer service/attitude. I don't know if the owner is just jaded from the break in or what

    TGO David

A USP owners group would fit the bill RIP Mars
  8. I suppose you mean "lay off", not "lay of", correct?
  9. I gotta say G&L and Hero-Gear, even though last Friday was my first experience at Hero-Gear, I was very impressed. Gotta agree w/ Nashville Sporting Arms being lacking in all of the categories that make a shop appealing. It was located close to my former employer, so I stopped in one afternoon, and the following conversation pretty much sums up my experience there:
  10. Looks like it'll be a great "winter holster" for CC with a coat on.
  11. "Bubba"?! That's just offensive... Now pass me a jar of peanut butter for all these angry crackers in here
  12. I just got back. It was my first time down there, and I was highly impressed w/ both the product selection and the professionalism and courtesy of the staff. Plus they got extra points for having a store dog, a great Golden Retriever at that. I picked up a Blackhawk Single Point Sling to further evilfy my Homeland Defense Rifle, and I picked up a cheapie universal holster, at 9.99 I couldn't afford not to buy it. Hopefully next time I'll have more $$$ available and I'll be able to pick up some hardware
  13. I'll 3rd that nomination... Check w/ www.summitgunbroker.com as well, he usually has a good supply of 3rd Gen S&Ws
  14. Bushmasters come from Texas? I thought only 2 things came from Texas...
  15. Yeah. Friedman's is high on pretty much everything except previously issued BDUs and a few select other items.

    My New USP9c

This is a pic from several weeks ago when I took my USPc9 to ASP to see how she shot. I frickin' love this thing.
  17. Just saw this on M4c, thought it might appeal to some of you:
  18. Wasn't that method developed primarily due to a certain kind of pistol they were using that had a tendency to discharge when dropped? I could see their reasoning of it being less likely to fire upon it's owner in the event it was taken by an assailant in an altercation, however the obvious trade off is that it will be less likely to shoot an assailant trying to take away your weapon...
  19. Anyone planing on being there between 2-4? I would have volunteered to give rides, but I'm coming from contract gig in AL.

    How many Masons?

    Oh SNAP!
  22. My personal recommendation would be to swap that thing in for something with a thumb safety (like a USP, 1911, or one of the newer M&Ps) that will give you piece of mind. Keep in mind, you'll need a spare hand to rack that slide (yeah, yeah, yeah... there's ways to do it with one hand, but in all practicality, he'll need his other hand), whereas a thumb safety is easily disengaged with one hand.
  23. 175? Nice!
  24. Face, meet Palm.
  25. Dude, you gotta start quoting people so we know who you're being all crazy in the direction of... On Topic: Yes, always. Back when I carried a DA/SA Sig, it was hammer down round in the chamber. With the G19, a round in the chamber. Now, with my USP9c, I carry cocked and locked.
