  1. Haha, that reminds me of something I saw on youtube today... Joe Scarborough calling out Jon Stewart over the way he scrutinized every word that came out of Bush's mouth over the past 8 yrs, but now that the messiah is in office, who has he moved on to? Jim Cramer?!
  2. Yeah! there we're two of them, so you and you're buddy could blast T100's and all kinds of crap away. I think the same hardware setup was used for the game "Revolution X"... Yeah, that was the Aerosmith themed game where you had to blow away the oppressive gov't that had banned rock n' roll or some crap... Geez... I hate Aerosmith... and Stephen Tyler... and his stupid face...
  3. Hey, at least that thing will fit right when you get back from PI!

    FN SCAR?

BS on the post from The Firearms Blog? Considering that blog is very speculative about upcoming products, and the fact that the post was written on Dec 3rd '08, I don't think their listing of the MSRP as $2,696.56 was BS. In fact, it's pretty darn close to the $2,873 you just quoted. The post was referring to the SCAR-L 16S (5.56/.223).
  5. I think I'd rather pay the extra $8 to go somewhere where kids arent running around and "gangstas" aren't taking cell phone calls.
  6. I'm not up on the Preds schedule, but maybe you could catch a hockey game?
  7. A buddy of mine drives an 83 Mercedes Benz 300D. He looked into starting to process bio-diesel, but discovered that he received great results (with less work) off of running straight veggie oil. He devised a filtering system in his garage, and collects waste veggie oil from several places around Nashville. He filters the veggie oil, and then it goes into his mass storage container. He added a 2nd filter in his fuel line which he changes once a month. The filter costs about $3. He hasn't bought gas in over 2 years. I've heard the argument that straight veggie oil is more conducive to "gelling" in the fuel lines under colder temps, but he has never had a problem.
  8. Remember the T2 arcade game? Man... I wonder how much one of those goes for these days?
  9. Several years ago, when I was 18 I decided to quit smoking. I tried using smokeless tobacco to wean myself off the cigs, and I ended up w/ two expensive habits for several months. Anywho a few years after that, I quit cold turkey. Haven't regretted it one bit. Now I can take part in strenuous activities, such as walking up the stairs.
  10. I'm definitely stoked. T3 completely underwhelmed me, but I have a feeling this one will be making up for it.
  11. Thanks for the heads up ZZRguy, I've been keeping an eye on CL I'm not allowed in there anymore... they had to spend about $300 on detailing the bikes after I drooled all over their M696, 1098i, and Hypermotard
  12. LOL! "Where did you get your training, Tennessee Technology Center?"
  13. Poll results suggest we should start posting CrossFit WOD's!

    FN SCAR?

My Hypothesis? Limited availability + AWB fears + Mall Ninjas needing to be the 1st kid on the block with one = paying out the hoo-ha Personally, I wouldn't even pay the MSRP for one... too steep of a price for a rifle who's role could be played quite effectively by any number of readily available (at least what passes for readily available these days) rifles such as, but not limited to: AR's in about a billion different configs FALs Galils Bushmaster ACRs (er wait... those aren't slated for realease until 2054 )

    FN SCAR?

I agree wholeheartedly, Dave. I doubt anyone can even find one in the low $3k range right now. I don't doubt for one second the price tag you're seeing out there. However, the price tag and the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price are two completely different animals. Just like how on 11-5-08 you couldn't find a AR15 stripped lower for under $200... even though the MSRP was still $149.

    FN SCAR?

From an FN forum: From "The Firearms Blog" : FN SCAR Still waaaaaaaaaay to steep, but if they are quoting $5,600 it better be for a pair!

    FN SCAR?

You mean the shop price? IIRC, the MSRP was in the low $2000s... The only interest I would have in one is in 7.62Nato, otherwise like Nate said, tons of other rifles that do it better and cheaper, and look better doing it.
  18. Spiders don't bother me... but snakes? Errrr.... HATE snakes.
  19. Geez... I watched the 9mm vs. .45 one... LOL! Guy 1: "Oh my god, you're retarded aren't you?" Guy 2: "Pfffffft... I made a doodie"
  20. Hmmm... don't know where I heard that. So, if you SBR it, don't all Calibers have to be listed ON it? ...or just in the paperwork?
  21. If I recall correctly, you can legally attach any upper to a lower engraved as .223/5.56, however, if it were to be an SBR it would need to be engraved as a "multi cal" AR if it were to be anything but .223/5.56... I could be wrong on this, so don't quote me
  22. What's the story on Blackthorne anywho? I've seen there stuff all over Gunbroker lately...
  23. The "BEST"? A lot of AR connoisseurs are quite partial to Noveske, but I would call LMT "high-end" as well. Then again, you could go with a custom upper from someone like White Oak Armory. I guess the possibilities are limitless
  24. That's what I did to start it, then I finished driving it in with light taps from a 4oz tack hammer (with it's head covered w/ electrical tape).
