  1. We've already discussed how much of a logistical nightmare this would be for anyone, much less the gov't who can't figure out Social Security... If it happens, you'll see it coming, and you can plan your course of action. I've got guns, you know it, I know it, they know it.
  2. Nope.
  3. +1 Teresa Weakley
  4. This guy put a commercial airliner down on the Hudson river, all 155 people aboard the plane survived. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/jan/16/us-airways-plane-crash-lands-on-hudson
  5. I take it you've checked G&L? Things looking bleak there? I did stop by Guns for America on Monday and they're selection was pretty slim, but they told me that was largely in part to the fact that they had done very well at the gun show that weekend. I was thinking about hitting up G&L sometime between now and Monday, should I veto the trip?
  6. From what I've read, the RTF series is only supplementing the 3rd Gen line... and "option", if you will.
  7. Meh, they look cool, and a few months ago when they were readily available, were actually pretty cheap.
  8. Ha, I never knew that... I learn something new about the interwebs everyday...
  9. Alright, who's the asshat who voted to not kill the zombies? You just had to be different, didn't you? I bet you listened to The Cure in high school, in between getting beat up and making mix tapes for your girl best friend that you were secretly in love w/ but didn't have a snow balls chance in hell of dating.
  10. Oh yeah, might I mention, I've been considering moving out to CA as well... my brother lives there, and seems to think he can score me a job. He does live in SoCal though, which is much more conservative than one would generally associate with CA... Large military population, lots of defense industries, and real estate moguls...
  11. Hey, surely a TGO'er could hang on to them for you... that is, IF they could be trusted
  12. No shame in letting a close friend or family hold on to your arsenal while you go get experience as an electrical contractor, then you could move anywhere you like, and be your own boss. Sometimes you've got to sacrifice to grab a good opportunity and make something of it.
  13. My thoughts exactly. If we were reading about a Jennings or a Lorcin, I might believe his story.
  14. So, is that a known problem for Khars? I'm just thinking there could be more to this than "the gun went off when it hit the floor"... right... it went off after it fell a maximum of what, 3ft?
  15. I wonder what kind of gun he had that discharged from impacting the floor?
  16. $1299? I'll stick to the $20 pistol crossbows the ass clowns at flea markets sell.

I was disappointed on the non-interchangeable upper as well... I wonder what the price point for a complete rifle is? Knowing H&K, they'll probably make the price of the LWRC look pretty attractive... Am I the only one who thinks the buttstock is kinda fugly?
  21. For those, like me, who are on the job hunt: http://www.reuters.com/article/oddlyEnoughNews/idUSTRE50D15K20090114 The main site was still down as of writing this. Read the story and you'll know why.

Looks like HK is releasing civilian versions of it's HK416 piston ARs. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2009/01/15/hk-mr556-and-mr762-civilian-hk416-and-hk417/ FROM HK:
  23. OH SNAP!
  24. Solid answer!

Maybe you could check w/ The Reloader's Bench? They're based just outside of Nashville, but they used to stock Sabre Defense lowers for a decent price. Then of course, if you're willing to drive a bit further, you could hit up Hero-Gear, I'm sure they could help you out.
