    Bushmaster

    Yeah. Isn't it great?!
  2. Even then it's used excessively, IMHO... That's why I'm a fan of H-D's "Dark Customs" line.
  3. True. I much prefer gold. Hahaha, but in all honesty, I like their park'ed model a lot.
  4. What it was, was hideous!
  5. Now, the RIA is cast, right? Where as the Springer G.I. is forged? Last week I stopped by a little shop in West Nashville to take a look around (Nashville Sporting Arms). Up until that point, all the RIAs I had ever seen were parkerized. One they had behind the counter had a very shiny finish. It didn't look to be stainless, more like nickel, or possibly chrome? I didn't get to ask, as they only had one guy behind the counter, and there were quite a few people waiting in front of me. Anyway, whatever the finish was, I thought it looked horrid. I much prefer the low-buck Springer's stainless.
  6. I've been researching this question myself lately, and it's brought me 2 answers: 1)Springfield Armory "G.I." 2)Rock Island Armory
  7. Ethics?
  8. Agreed. And of course the costs of implementing this measure will be passed straight to the consumer. Ugh...
  9. Wasn't saying that at all. Just pointing out the obvious flaw of a security measure like this: There are many cheap and easy ways to get around it (i.e. Dremel, file, etc). It seems we're making the same point, just from different angles. I don't remember saying "If they do this, I'm going to Dremel down my firing pin".
  10. ...and this stops criminals from doing it because why? Aside from that, I wonder what the plan of action would be for when a gun owner replaces a firing pin? Have to go somewhere to have your serial etched into it? Or have to buy a firing pin (which is etched from the factory) from the manufacturer at an inflated price because this is supposed to help prevent gun crimes?
  11. I can think of waaaaay more useless things to put in my gun collection than that thing, haha.
  12. Ever noticed how handy a Dremel can be? I'm just sayin's all...

    Accu-Wedge for ARs

Out of curiosity, do you guys do the design work in-house, or have you contracted someone?
  14. Can I interest you in a metric ton of kitty litter?
  15. He looks the business for sure, Astra! My dog is pretty friendly, but he doesn't like strangers on his turf... and he's definetly got a manly security bark, haha.

    My first AR build

Looks AWESOME! I really like the paint job you did on the markings!
  17. I know many of us here @ TGO are dog owners. Let's face it when something goes "bump in the night", Fido usually knows before you do, and he's on it. So, let's see some pics of your "1st Line of Defense". Here's mine: His name is Shiner, he's almost 3yrs old, and he's an Old English Sheepdog. He's about 65-70lbs, and as smart as they come. Post-Haircut :
  18. Those words have brought be comfort on a few mornings that I've woken in a strange place with a brutal hangover.
  19. Obviously, this liar's rifle doesn't exist.
  20. Haha, IF I knew how to do that, I probably would...
  21. Forum Rule #1: Never mention a new weapon unless you have pics of said weapon ready for upload.
  22. +1 Especially to the lawyer who told my brother he couldn't be armed on a 2month stint in Iraq due to "liabilities".
  23. I've read a lot about Blackwater's "illegal machine guns" in several articles claiming they were smuggled into the country. I'm a little more than confused about the whole "illegal machine guns" situation, but I couldnt understand how they would receive security contracts for several of the details they've been working WITHOUT proper armament. I mean, the insurgents surely aren't limiting their arsenals....
  24. Just voted. Still @ 59%
