  2. Haha, +1! Yeah, I cant find anything suggesting the price will be quite that steep. Granted, my past 5 minutes of googling haven't produced anything from the manufacturer's mouth. What I have seen is a lot of people saying they've heard 1300-1500 as a base price, so as to try to match/undercut the price points of the Sig 556 and the Robinson XCR. Personally, I don't think Magpul would have sought out Bushmaster if they we're going to produce a rifle in the $2100+ range. That's not me saying Bushmaster makes cheap crap, that's me saying Bushmaster has the experience and tooling to mass produce a quality rifle on a large scale for a minimum price tag.
  3. Not totally positive, but I think I recall reading the target MSRP was in the 1300-1500 range.
  4. This is the BEST Christmas ever!
  5. I'll admit it... I immediately started searching for Rosie O'Donell themed "Fails", and couldn't find any... woe is me... dyke is she.
  6. Me too If I could afford a proper G36 conversion, I'd be all over it!
  7. We've got nothing to do... Luckily, the boss man 86'd the idea of us working on Wednesday
  8. +1 on keeping a Bic handy. I mean, there less than $2, readily available, and virtually indestructible. Back when I was smoking, I usually lost the damn thing before it ever ran out of fluid...

    HOLY CRAP! Me wants!
  10. Well, it looks a little HKish, why not treat it like an HK? As in the "NIEN! Because we hate you!" sense... In all seriousness though, I have been REALLY looking forward to this thing... I've got a nice little ACR fund too. Hope I don't have to blow it on something else. On a side note, does anyone know if Magpul retained any stake in the QC of the product?
  11. Hit me up if you wanna go shoot some weekend RZ, I'm in the AC.
  12. I'm waiting out a set of these for my middy... When you're buying a set, keep an eye out for Chinese knock-offs. The knock-offs have actually beat the real product to the street... I'm starting to loathe airsoft...
  13. Really? I've never seen the sign, and I've shot a metric ton of FMJs out there...

    12g Christmas!

I actually don't have one, Magic... I was trying to be... shall we say, "arfcomical"? However, I bet you could make your own 1pt sling on the cheap! Pick up a sling mount from Wally World, grab a length of nylon strap and some plastic snap-fit hardware from a hardware (or sometimes outdoors shops carry the stuff as well), and you're good to go... Might even be a fun project

Are you actually going to get what we vote on? It seems most of the time these threads end up with "Well, I went to buy the AK, but then I couldn't put the RIA down"
  16. Haha, I'll be sure to let you guys know how it holds up after use. If by chance it fails me, I take comfort in knowing I can bring it back to Wally World smashed into 5,000 pieces, covered in blood and dog crap with the original packaging totally shredded and held together by duct tape and I'll receive a full refund!
  17. It's for a firearm. I haven't loctite'd it yet, but it actually feels pretty sturdy.
  18. Well, I stopped by the friendly neighborhood Wally-World on the way home from work tonight. I picked up some stuff for dinner, tossed through the $5 DVD bin, then made my mandatory stop back in Sporting Goods. I found myself perusing some of there optics, just for *****s, and what might catch my eye but a laser sight. It was a BSA, it came w/ batteries and a pressure switch, and it was all offered at the roll back price of $19.96. Considering the rail on my AR is more naked than Brittney Spears exiting a vehicle, I just had to pick one up. Got home, mounted it, slid the space plate out of my vertical grip, slapped the included adhesive velcro square on vert grip, then the other side on the pressure switch, and done. I haven't fired it yet, but for $20, I'm impressed so far It's just like this one: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=701092

I voted AK, thought the RIA was a close 2nd. Do I really need to explain myself over the AK?
  21. Yeah, it's the closest for me too. I don't care for it much, but I usually go to it a few times a year. I always bring a few folks w/ me. Last time I was down there, I met a really cool guy. He was a Marine Corps sniper and 'Nam vet. He was sighting in a Remington 700 build he had just finished. He and my group we're the only ones there, and I had a great time.

  24. Junglist, I'm really starting to think they're conspiring against you...
  25. TWRA Range in Cheatham? Do they even have rules there? Even if they did, nobody is there to enforce them, hahaha
