I think a wood AR stock would be kinda cool... Esspecially if it was a very light colored wood that you could apply a black tinted finish to. That way, it would be just as evil and black, but you could still see the wood grain in it.

I hear you there, haha. When you aren't shooting for your life, it gets hard to balance shooting AND life. That's why I multi-task and pop off a few rounds out of my car window on the way to work in the mornings.

You're good to go on that. My dad got me one at about that age so I could shoot in our backyard. Definitely the best present I ever got. I wore that thing out over the next several years. Haha, I even developed a very accurate "BB-Drop Compensator" in my head... good times

Yeah, it definitely does. According to usps.com, my black CTR just arrived in Nashville! Funny thing about that stock is, when I asked Del-Ton to just leave a stock out of my order, they said it would no longer be a kit, thus would have to be ordered as parts, which was WAAAAY more expensive! I just HAD to put the FDE MOE stock on last night so I could feel how she would shoulder.

Plenty more where that came from. You should probably join my cult. Yeah, yeah, I only started one for tax reasons, but I got to admit, it's easy to get carried away once you begin amassing minions.

$50 should do it. If I have to ship it, I assume shipping will be around $5 USPS Priority. Also, about the stock, I've gotta say I like the FDE color a lot better in person than I thought I would. In pics on the web, it usually appears much more "sandy" colored, but in person it's darker. Almost like a mix between OD and coyote brown.

Thanks man. I'd recommend ordering one from Del-Ton if you're wanting one. They're really backed up right now, so you could be waiting several months, but they dont charge your card until your order begins to be built, that way if you find something else before they get to you, you can just cancel your order.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I'm already planning my next build... or builds actually. These things are definetly addictive! I've got plans for a retro-ish 20" A2 build, and an SPR build in my mind right now. I cant say enough about the folks at Del-Tone either. I highly recommend them.

So, I ended up being pretty busy this weekend, but I finally got around to getting my AR put together. As far as the assembly went, although intimidated by driving the roll pins in at first, it was really no big deal. I'm still deciding on which BUIS I want (I'm going w/ a rail mounted flip-up front, note the low-pro front gas block). The stock I have on it now is a MagPul MOE, which was the only mil-spec stock Del-Ton still had in stock. I've got a black CTR stock coming on Tues or Wed, and I'll be swapping them out immediately (the MOE will be listed in the marketplace, go ahead and shoot me a PM if you're interested). I'm still trying to decide on an optic. I'd REALLY like to splurge on an ACOG, but I'll likely end up w/ the Bushnell Holosight.

So, I got my rifle kit today! Unfortunately, I was super busy all night and I just got home to open it... I love it all ready! Anyway, I'm a little drunk, so I'm going to turn in and wake up early to put it together... EXPECT PICS!
