I'm very thankful for the win. Alabama has great talent and ability. The first half was proof of it. The second half was lacking alot. It was typical of older days when Alabama couldn't finish a game. I'm so glad that game didn't go another 10 minutes. Those guys have to realize that they can finish games and play 4 quarters. I can't wait to see the Tide win the 13th National Championship. This is the beginning of a new era. Saban is a great coach and we're lucky to have him. If he can turn things around and bring us #13, it'll be worth the 4 mil per year. Roll Tide!!!

I agree with Tungsten. Smyrna is along I-24 and probably far enough from downtown Nashville that the price and crime rate will be alot more suitable for your needs. We have a good selection of hotels and places to eat. And for your wife, places to shop. It's also alot more convenient for your plans, or so it sounds. And for your shopping enjoyment, there are 2 reasonably close gun stores to check out if you're into that sort of thing.

My wife's hot pink Sig Mosquito is having a failure to lock back after the mag is emptied. Is that because of cheap Remington 550 ammo? Or because it's hot pink? LOL! I bought the Federal value pack to try and also the CCI Minimag stuff. I'll also generously oil it down and keep it wet to see if that helps.

We may go Sunday as well.

This is kind of what I expected and pretty much what I thought, but it is good to know for certain. Thanks to all who had good input. The best weapon is still the human mind. Know where and where not to be and stay aware of your surroundings. Stay safe... a HCP and a .45 ACP don't hurt anything either.

No kidding? You don't say? Yes, I realize that, but I was asking what weapons are legal to carry without any type of permit. I don't mean what can be carried with a HCP. Obviously, Handgun Carry Permit only applies to handguns. I'm curious about this for those people who do not have a HCP. Yes, I know, they should get one if possible. As I said before, I have a HCP and carry a firearm or 2, so I need nothing else. No clubs, mace, or tazers for me, just more ammo.

I'm a HCP holder and carry a firearm on my person at all times, but I'm curious about what other methods of weapons are legal for self defense besides pepper spray/mace or tazers. What about these monkey fist keychains? What about nunchucks? What about blackjacks, clubs, or batons? How about it guys?

Maybe, but I don't think it'd be that comfy.
