  1. Well since I usually dont tuck my shirts in away from work, tucking is not a necessity. I just like having the most options. You could be right. I may try it and not like it due to the additional bulk. That's the reason I'm asking questions of what works and don't work for others. Pros and cons, looking at pictures, ect... Thanks to all who are giving info. Keep it coming.
  2. Thanks for that info OS. I'll mark that one off the list. I really like the looks of the Galco U.D.C. It looks like a good appendix carry holster. Any input? Thanks.
  3. I saw a High Noon Mr Softy holster that looks interesting. Anybody ever try one? Coop, a Galco Ankle Glove is on my short list of holsters I'm gonna try.
  4. Glock Talk has this same kind of holster exchange program, but it's a thread of way too many pages to look through and even if somebody had what you wanted at one time, they probably don't still have it when you inquire about it. We would need it to be a mix of a pay it forward and trading post to keep up with what everybody has.
  5. ASIDE FROM CROSSBREED, MTAC, Pocket Holsters, or Smart Carry holsters, how do you guys carry your baby Glocks? I already have the previously mentioned holsters. I'm looking at OTHER options. Specificly, I'm looking at the Galco U.S.A./ U.D.C. and Galco Ankle Glove. I really don't want to buy a custom holster, but pictures and testimony may change my mind. What are do my fellow Glockers carry their baby Glocks in? Pictures would be nice. Thanks, Shima
  6. I voted for the G19 as it looks like most everyone else did and added a poll to keep track of the tally. Although, it looks pretty overwhelming for the 19.
  7. Let's stay with the summer carry issue fellas. OP was asking for options of summer carry weapons and holsters. Let's not stray from that. Thanks
  8. If you run out of ammo, you can maul someone with it. Those things seem so big. Congrats on the Ruger.
  9. Our Music City PHINs (Parrot Heads In Nashville) group is having our Annual Membership Drive and Middle TN Trop Rock Artist Tall Paul in concert at Dan McGuiness Pub downtown Friday night, Feb 19th from 6-9PM. If this sounds good to you and you'd like more info, shoot me a PM or email at bnagashima@yahoo.com Thanks, Shima
  10. Welcome. We need the weather to warm up so we can go back down to the CH gun range in Spring hill. Thats my favorite place to shoot. 30s and 40s is just too cold unless youre hunting.
  11. Yep. She said " I could sale you the stuff, but I'd hate to see you mess it up." I said thanks. The old man was gonna give me the leather to make one with. If I had a machine to do it, I might try, but sewing one together by hand is too much.
  12. I went to Tandy and took my holster with me. The old guy and his wife (?) both discouraged me from doing it because it would weaken the integrity of the leather. They advised me too take this one apart and use it for a pattern and cut new pieces out, dye and seal them, and sew them together. That's just too much trouble. I'll just wear the one I have as it is and buy another later if I choose.
  13. Cool. I'll post some before and after pics upon completion. Thanks.
  14. The Bianchi holster was $65 IIRC. How much is the leather dye?
  15. I did not go with the combat cut because I like the leather there to keep the gun from contacting my skin. Just my comfort preference. If it ain't comfortable, it'll just end up in the unused holster box. I'd rather be wearing it.
  16. Has anyone here ever had good luck dyeing a leather holster. I have a holster I like everything about, but the color. I wear a black belt and have a black gun with a natural colored Bianchi holster that I'd like to dye black to match the gun and belt. I know they have leather dye for leather automotive interiors, but I don't know if that would work with holsters. Anybody have any input? Thanks.

    the dark side

I just purchased my third one. Welcome to the dark side. You'll love it here.
  18. These are our 2 lab mutts. One golden lab mutt and one yellow lab mutt. They are spoiled rotten. Both are 2 and a half year old rescues.
  19. I bought a Stack On safe at Dick's Sporting Goods for about $350 not too long ago. It is supposed to hold 19 rifles and it might if I just jammed them in there, but it holds my 5 in one side of it and I put some stackable drawers in the other side for my handguns, important papers, and other valuables. As already said, it is a deterent.
  20. I'm told that the G26 in a ankle holster works fine in BDUs, Docker Cargo pants, relax fit jeans, and dress slacks so I'll be getting the Galco Ankle Glove for mine.
  21. Your right, I didn't want to hear it. I know some don't like them, but I do. I think they produce a fast sight picture night or day. With practice, they can be accurate at distance. If you don't believe me, check out the Yeager video. Anyway, I got them on my other Glocks and like the consistency of having all my defensive pistols with the same sight setup. On the G34 range gun I plan to get later, I'll go with a more accurate competition/target sight setup. For defensive situations, I like the Big Dots.
  22. I love my Crossbreed. It is my favorite holster ever. I've had it for a couple years. I think it was about $65 when I got it. Mine has the black leather backing.
  23. They should give you a new pistol and kick in some extra mags for your troubles.

    XDM Carry Question

I own a full size Glock 21 and even though I can carry it in my OWB or IWB holsters, I usually don't because of the grip lengths and weight of a full sized service pistol. I'd much prefer a compact or subcompact pistol for EDC. The Glock 19 is a good compact with a full hand grip so your pinky don't hang off and mag changes don't pinch your hand.
