  1. I carry my Glock 21 in a Crossbreed Supertuck for IWB, DeSantis OWB 3 slot strong side holster, or a G&G slide holster. Not so much the last one, but definately the first 2 depending on how dress or where I'm going. BTW, I'm 6'2" and 240 lbs. 38 waist size. Mostly wear cargo pants or relaxed fit jeans when carrying the G21.
  2. +1. Some of those folks are strange characters. Give him a call. Ask the Serial Number. Have it checked. I stumbled on a heck of a deal on my VEPR K using that sight. He was a WAYYYYYYYY strange guy, bad pictures, but the deal on my rifle was outstanding. You never know...
  3. I love to watch the Andy Griffith show too, and to find out him and Ronnie Howard are liberal, Obama socialists really tainted the show for me. <Charles Barkley Voice>Turrible!!! Oh, and to stay on topic, I didnt really like the Waltons show, but think they did live alot better back then. However, I can't imagine having that many kids, only having one truck, and my inlaws living with us. Life really was hard back then.
  4. My wife hates shooting my J frame. She likes shooting bigger guns like a SP101 I had, a P345 I had, and my Glock 45's. She wants a M&P 9, but I don't know if she'll want to carry it due to the size. We're still in the trial period to see what all she likes.
  5. Looks alot like the PX4 Storm SC, but not a 9MM. I don't like a 380 if you can get a 9MM in the same size frame. JMO

Just can't see the practicality of it. Are you gonna start carrying a murse so you can haul the thing around as it's too big to clip on the belt. Or, you may have to carry a backpack with you everywhere you go. I just don't see it being a big hit among us casual nonbriefcase carrying types, but what do I know?
  8. Was that you in the news here lately getting busted at the park?
  9. I bought a 5.11 nylon belt to carry my crossbreed supertuck holster with my Glock 21 and G30 pistols. The belt costed me about $30 bucks and is very sturdy and supportive. I need to find a good leather one too, but I don't want to spend $60 on one either.
  10. They look nice. I think its RobertandWanda on here that have or have had one. I believe they are made in the Phillipines along with RIA and the Firestorm 1911 clones. I've never handled or shot one and don't think the price is much different from the other 2 brands above. If they dont chime in, I'm sure you can shoot Robert and Wanda a PM to see what they think about the CD 1911.
  11. M.C Hammer pants. That's funny right there. I got about 70 lbs on you and tend to wear relaxed fit jeans and cargo pants with roomy pockets. As I said before, I carry my J frame revolver in the front pocket of the pants I wear now, so I'm really interested in trying the G26 and Aholster to see what the difference would be.
  12. Sounds like the Glock is their issued weapon. I shot a styer at the TGO meet n shoot. It does have sights that would take some getting used to. It is a comfortable gun and economical, but I still prefer the Glock. JMHO
  13. Not that I don't love reading on this subject over and over and over again, but I think this thread is better suited for a different forum. Moved to the Handgun Carry and Self Defense forum.
  14. Being that Glocks are thick, even SC or "baby" Glocks, isn't it a little much to carry in the front pocket? Just curious. I want one to replace my S&W J frame as my EDC, but thought it might be too big for pocket carry. Leroy, I carry my S&W in the Aholster pocket holster and I love it. I'm needing to find someone who has that Glock 26/Aholster combo here in Mid TN that I can check out. I'm Jonesing for a G26 though. Maybe someone can bring one out to Owl Hollow and let me take it for a test drive.

    UT beats Florida

You're smoking crack if you think the Vols have a chance to win. Kiffin's gonna get his welcome to the SEC on Saturday.
  16. If I walk outside the house today, the J frame S&W will be in the front pocket of my gym shorts.
  17. I think Sept 13 or 20 works for me.
  18. That puts out my Raven Arms 25 Auto.
  19. Come to the mid tn meet and shoot and shoot my Glock 30 or 21 if you want. Maybe you can find one of these Taurus guys that can bring a Taurus you can shoot.

    Lack of Rental Guns

Come to the Mid TN September meet and shoot.
  21. I got Pearce pinky extenders on my Glock 30. I love the feel of them. They look like the factory grip. I haven't pinched myself yet...
  22. I'm glad to have Jason's knowlege and input in the forum. He's on here all the time anyway, and I am working ALOT lately. Due to a promotion in my job situation, I haven't been able to read every thread as of lately. It's great to have him aboard the TGO staff. Congrats J.
  23. Thanks to sjrhodes82 and davidbaker for letting me put a couple rds down range. They had some really cool rifles. Sorry I missed some of you as I had to leave about 1 PM so I could get my guests to their previous engagements.

    The Judge

I think Buk or one of our other members had a snub judge at Owl Hollow here while back that I got to shoot. Neat gun, but I don't think I want one to carry.
