  1. I checked out a new gun shop today. Well, they don't officially open until tomorrow. Anyway, they had in an LCP and sold it for $280 plus the normal stuff. They also have a P3AT and P32, but no prices on them yet. I'm told that their wholesaler is out of them and it will probably be about five weeks before they get any more Kel-Tecs. That's a normal story for my area.
  2. Gunrunners USA opens around 11 o'clock on July 4 off of exit 66 on I-81 between Bristol and Kingsport. Check our database listing at http://www.tngunowners.com/dynamics/showentry.php?e=98 or http://www.gunrunnersusa.com/
  3. I got a sneak peak at Gunrunners USA this morning. That's the new shop between Kingsport and Bristol. http://www.tngunowners.com/dynamics/showentry.php?e=98 has more info. They open about 11 o'clock tomorrow (July 4),
  4. Wow! First time I've heard that. Normally, I have trouble getting the magazines apart for cleaning. Yeah, those little guns have aiming problems if you get out very far. Not much sight radius.
  5. Good enough answer. Can you explain why?
  6. Just curious. If you have a Kel-Tec, why did you order the Ruger?
  7. Yeah, the infant lands on the floor, rather than in water. Ha Ha Ha..... Idiot dumb ****s.
  8. It would just probably go into the same box with the 1968 firearms act that I look at every decade or so.
  9. Hell, I seldom use a $100 holster. "Good" is the key. Some people like that are just into affectation. Then again, people like that are seldom a problem.
  10. Well, damn you too.
  11. Let me put it this way.... I once voted for Ross Perot because I really didn't give a **** whether the Dem or Repub won. But If I had cared - at all - I would have voted for the guy I liked best. I'm not sure but I think it is in one of Piet Hein's Grooks that the way to make a decision is to toss a coin. Doesn't matter which way it comes down. But while it is in the air, you know which way you hope it will fall. Give it a try. If you really don't care which way it falls, then write in Ross Perot.
  12. Julie is way too smart to fall for that 365 days thing. Next it's, "Honey what is this new gun in the closet?" "Oh dear, I've that for some time." (3 days)
  13. Damn you! I missed the number of amendments.
  14. Welcome. Always good to see an Army avatar. Yeah, some parts of Tennessee have some humidity. But I always compare it to south Georgia. We look pretty good by comparison.
  15. I have a non-rabid raccoon that raids my bird feeder. I've been tempted to feed it some IMI/Sierra 308 reloads, but haven't yet. If they come out with some Flaming Cat ammo, I'd probably buy it.
  16. I seldom adjust the handgun except when I first get out of a vehicle. And then, it's not really an adjustment. It's a check to make sure the magazine is seated.
  17. Thanks. I'll bet it shows up there.
  18. I don't understand how even a teen could think that's cool.
  19. Thanks, I'll keep an eye out.
  20. I didn't see it, but maybe Hulu will have it. Doesn't look like it will though. Somebody save me a copy. I watched their coal mining show. Very well done. Next viewing will be the animal rights show with the PETA folks. That ought to be good.
  21. TDR, I actually agree with much that your wrote. There are quite a few LEOs I interact with both as friends and professionally. I tell them that they need to get rid of the bad eggs and insist on professional behavior. Of course, as Admin points out, much of the time the cops most folks interact with are acting professionally. It's just that when we get caught doing something we shouldn't do, we don't like it. I have a real problem with LEOs who break the law or know other LEOs who break the law and say nothing. That is not professional behavior. It's fixable. If a chief were to tell his officers that they won't get their pensions if they speed when not authorized, for instance, the officers would quit speeding. And the profession would get a lot more respect from the public. I suspect the pay for LE folks would also increase.
  22. I've been by that shop. "By" is the operant word. I haven't stopped yet. It's on Shipley Ferry Road in a building with some other stuff.
  23. Well, I'll tell you.... I have a friend who OCed his Taurus 44 Magnum in Walmart in Bristol and was asked to leave. Later, he joined a security company and was situated at the same Walmart as security. It happens.
  24. I don't need to know the law. I just make it up as I go.
