I hate to see things get too cluttered. Why not just add it to your signature line?

Some day I want to get to Buckeye Falls in the Cherokee National Forest in Unicoi County. Some people think it is the highest water fall in the eastern US. Seems to depend on how you measure it. I've been to the trailhead, but it looks like a great spot to get your car stripped. http://world-waterfalls.com/waterfall.php?num=303 http://www.cs.utk.edu/~dunigan/landforms/m.php?wpt=UCF001

Possible problem with a gunn I sold @ show
Marswolf replied to Volzfan's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
How about just keeping a copy of this thread. Then you can take the gun out and commit crimes and they won't think it is you. -
I can't believe they finally got those available. I tried to buy one years ago but Springfield dropped them out of the catalog. I wanted one for a trunk gun. I'll have to look back into them.

Staying just a bit off of topic, but not much, Glock also copied the Iver Johnson "safe" trigger. Note the safety bar in the trigger of the second gun in this picture. It's also a hammerless gun, like a Glock. The revolver was made from 1897 - 1908. All gun manufacturers "borrow" from each other. Hopefully, when they do that they also make a better gun. Generally, that seems to be true with each new "Glock-like" gun that comes out. New, and I think better, features are added. Grip safety, changeable backstraps, better chamber support and ability to field strip without dry firing. If it proves to be reliable, durable and accurate, the XDM has it all. Now if they could just work out a way to de-cock and re-cock, it might be as good a design as a gun with a hammer.

I guess she is supposed to be like Angela Davis.

Even I have to admit that the VP70 is pretty hideous. But for a weapon that came out in 1970, it's pretty spectacular. One of the local shops had one in stock for a little while. I was tempted to buy it just for historic value.

I traded my G26 for the equivalent XD-9 SC and liked it much better. But there was still the problem of having to dry fire to field strip. I wasn't entirely comfortable with that, so I sold the XD. But I have been looking at the XDM. It basically solves the problems with the Glocks for striker fired handguns. But I keep thinking that guns with hammers are still better. The only thing it would give me are 3 more rounds at the cost of some options and capabilities.

The P7M8 is perhaps the best concealed carry handgun ever made. Really, it's a gun you have to shoot to appreciate. I always have though they felt a little odd when dry-firing in a shop. But get one on a range and it all falls into place.

Nashville area gun dealers who will receive firearms for a fee
Marswolf replied to Luckyforward's topic in Handguns
That's the way it has turned out in the Tri-Cities. I haven't used them, but I understand that Uncle Sam's Pawn in Bristol charges $15. -

Found two old threads about this. The first one is the good one. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1499 http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=822 -
Nashville area gun dealers who will receive firearms for a fee
Marswolf replied to Luckyforward's topic in Handguns
We had an early topic on this subject not long after the board started. Fees were all over the place. I remember one guy, who is no longer on the board, who apparently hated doing transfers. I don't know why he even said he would do them. In the Tri-Cities, the fees seem to run from $15 to $30 (plus the $10 TICS, of course). Point is to make a few phone calls and ask different folks what they charge. -
On Tritium night sights, I like to have the front dot a different color than the two rear dots. That way there is no confusion about dot alignment. I now return you to the laser topic.
-
Well, since you are asking for opinion, I don't like them. I had a LaserMax on my Glock 26 and while it was a fun toy, a $10 laser pointer is more fun.

This sort of reminds me of "The Solid South" of old where the political parties pretty much ignored the southern states because they knew those states would always vote Democratic. As the people started listening to the positions of the parties and used their brain to determine how they would vote, the southern states began receiving a lot more money from the Federal government for road construction and such. The unions harm themselves by being identified with the Democrats, when often it is Republican company owners and boards who determine the fate of the workers jobs. A lot of union members have figured this out and no one can look over their shoulders in the voting booth to see if they are voting the Union line. Maybe it would be better if the unions became more friendly with management in order to keep the work here rather than forcing those jobs out of the country because of labor costs and an unfriendly business climate force upon them by the liberals.

Man Sues Church for $2.5M After Being 'Felled by Holy Spirit'
Marswolf replied to Magiccarpetrides's topic in General Chat
I'm sorry, Oral Roberts has already registered that practice. -
Been there. Sometimes $30 is a world away. Sometimes $2 is a world away. Happy that it works for you.

Thanks for the info, but this is July, not June. Never mind, I just spotted the: Sounds pretty un-special to me. Lots of calories there for your $16.00 I guess this is limited to your area if you have $30 and a freezer? I'm not trying to be a smart-ass. but there are a lot of folks out there who don't have a way to utilize this. They are not on welfare, for one reason or another, and just are down to their last dollar. People like that really exist, folks. I deal with them. How about helping the folks without a Welfare Card as a Christian community?

Well I'm glad that was explained. All of the airlines only hire dummies as accountants.

Only if you have an original ver 1.0 Vegematic.

Well, I thought that was cool as hell. Of course that comes from someone into his third beer and who has only jumped out of a plane, on a static line, twice in his life when he was 20. Well actually the first time I was sorta' kicked out of the plane.

Apparently the bean counters at the major airlines disagree too. They seem to think the speculators are a major problem.
