To have a 3rd party that means anything, you have to have a candidate with good ideas and charisma. If they have that, they will run for office in one of the two main parties.

I don't really know about the life of the P3AT. I know Seecamp has claimed a life of 2000 rounds for their 380, but seem to have backed off of that. Realistically, I don't think you will run up against that problem. I'd guess that a few rounds here or there will keep you sufficiently proficient for the purpose of the gun.

I still think it would be more likely for Republicans to find a Democrat they could live with as Speaker and vote for him as a block. Then it would only take a handful of Democrats to vote him into the position.

Unfortunately, I don't think John Harris wants to relinquish control to the members. It's difficult to even get basic information about the group. The deal seems to be that you pay your dues and John makes all of the decisions. No thanks, I'll work in a different way.

I'm fine on lanterns and stoves. What I seem to have misplaced are two dome tents. I can find the backpacking one, but that is a bit cramped. I'll have to do a bit more of a search. Maybe I put them in the pop-up where I would know where to find them.

I apologize to you if I made assumptions I should not have made. When someone mentions private schools, I immediately think of religious private school, which I consider an abomination of intellectual as well as physical learning and practice. I see them as am abomination of intellectuality. If the intention of home schooling is to extend horizons then more power to it.. If the intention is to proscribe new ideas, then I damn them. In all I think the concept of letting the parents set the agenda is the proper one, regardless of what I think is the proper path.

I got news for you dude, smart kids don't get dumbed down by the schools. I didn't. Your kids won't either if they are told how dumbed-down the schools are. But they do learn how to deal with the dumb ****s. That's education, even if you don't recognize it as such. Private school kids never guess that lesson and experience.

I'm of the opinion that the TFA staff (the one guy) doesn't have much credence,. We need grassroots. We don't need Harris. He's a useless appendage.

Some jobs require an area. Most don't require a specific area. But getting started requires some "flexibility". Schooling is largely a matter of correcting PCness. I have friends all over the US who manage to do that with their kids in the public schools. I am absolutely not a fan of private schools. Isolation from society is not an answer. Learning to deal with dumbness is more intellectually stimulating and a hell of a lot more useful for kids. As I keep telling folks, the world is as it is. Get used to it.

I think I mentioned assessing your situation. By all means protect your family. I purposely live in a semi-rural area. I'm 500 feet off of the main road. I worked for it. Jobs are still available in the non-socialist city area. Please look for one where you don't feel you need to carry a handgun all of the time at home
