Yeah, the thermos is in the car for the next time I get even remotely close to that direction. I haven't been remotely close since. I appreciate her offer to loan it to me. I didn't realize she needed it as much as she obviously does. 'l'll bring the thermos by tomorrow morning if not tonight. Sorry I didn't make a point of of getting by that way and dropping if off.. My fault. It's worth another few bucks in gas money not to have to think about it and it is your's and Sues. Since I have a few of them. I don'd even consider it a problem. My bad....

You ever tried a Kel-Tec P3AT? Even more awesome.
-
Perfectly acceptable and reasonable per your view. Me either. Very strange. Was it unusable because of the pitting? I don't guess you took photos. Since it went to your sister, can you get some photos? I'd like to hear Kel-Tec's explanation.

A quite valid point.

In all seriousness.... My next-door neighbors are big Christian fundamentalists. But I like them anyway. So...I was talking to Mrs. Fundamentalist yesterday and even brought her some fertilizer I didn't need. She told me she had a cough and "prayed about it". Apparently the Lord told her that Whiskey and sugar were OK. It worked. You know, it is possible to be a religion fanatic without annoying the civilized world and insisting they be mindless fanatics. Of course, I think my neighbors were hippies in their day. I guess the lesson is to not write off either the God-fearing or the heathens in their late 50's. They might be a whole lot more sensible than you are.

What if we just ban Glocks? What if we do something radical like setting up shooting ranges in state parks?

The PF9 is not a BUG. It is quite capable of being a primary. Shot one the other day. It's not the equivalent of my H&K P7M8, but it's quite capable - and about a thousand dollars cheaper. Kel-Tec is basically a machine shop - if a very big one. NASA is their primary business for Mr. and Mrs. Kelgren. I suspect they have steel suppliers with impeccable credentials. Having worked in the nuclear power industry, where consistency and conformity and certifiability are so important, I can can see where they would question pitted steel. I haven't heard of anyone in a very long time say they didn't think customer service wasn't first-rate from K-T. I guess YMMV.

While I am greatly sorrowful about your pet black snake, I'm glad you have finally seen the light. It's seems that some people can never be brought to reality and sensibility.
-
I'm glad you are keeping up with them for me.

Hey Mark@, I may be interested in looking at the Buckmark. I have one, but may have another need for additional service. Let me know when you will be in.

Mindless crap. They say the same about Seecamps, although some of that is confirmed by Seecamp. If you ever fire 2000 rounds through a LCP, P3AT or Seecamp .380. you are a masochist who enjoys licking up your own blood.

Maybe we should go to a gun-grabber site and claim to be a park ranger who hates gun control?

Would I marry - or even hire - a woman with a bunch of tats? Probably not. Would I sleep with one and tell her much I liked her tats? Probably so....

MTS, the version I heard was that Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Christ. Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the head of the Christian Church. And Baptists do not recognize each other in the liquor store.

You know, I think this is a bit funny. I am absolutely not putting down anyone who buys a LCP. It sounds like a good handgun from what I hear. But I can't help wondering about some folks who wouldn't buy a "cheap plastic" Kel-Tec but are perfectly willing and proud to buy an older design version of the same thing as long as it has the Ruger name on it. I'll recommend either one, although the very slightly smaller dimensions of the Kel-Tec would make that a preference. The difference between the Kel-Tec .32 and .380 is about 1/16 inch additional muzzle length. I had a problem with that. Adding additional dimension for the Ruger would make me go with the Kel-Tec. The P3AT barely fits, with a decent holster, into a jeans back pocket. Bigger, in this case, is not better.

I don't think he will answer, although he may lurk. We are being punished because we think he's an idiot. or because he is a mindless anti. Which means he is probably a gun-hating troll. I have a couple of friends who are state park rangers. They think the current law is stupid too but dare not say so openly.

More to the point, why do they have 43 cars at short tracks? How about setting the number at 25 or 30 and making ALL of the racers qualify to be on the track every week? This owner's points stuff is just crap.

There are a lot of pretty much universally recognized concepts that laws can be based on. Pretty much all cultures and religions even atheism, agree that murdering, stealing, etc. are wrong and should be legally proscribed. These are matters that legitimately deserve to be the subject of legislation and laws. But other issues have a deep division and in my view should not be legislated either for or against. Most of these are what I call busybody laws that try to force ones personal views on others. They are often based on religious views, or a narrow minded idea that you have to lead other people to the "correct" actions. Two groups who do this are the extremist religionists and the extremist liberals. GUTTERbOY, good post. I can't think of anything you wrote that I disagree with. Our founding fathers were definitely not part of the so-called moral majority as we define that term today. That's nonsense. This is evident to people who read the correspondence between Madison and Jefferson, or Madison's notes on the debates in the Constitutional Convention of 1787, or Washington's private correspondence. While they were religious men, they went out of their way to limit the influence of religion on the new nation. Probably the most famous of this is in Jefferson's comments on the necessity of a division of church and state. It is an extreme perversion of reality to suggest that they tried to write their religious views into the Constitution or the laws of the country, as undoubtedly the "Moral Majority" would and does try to do today. The founding fathers recognized universal truths but tried to write a Constitution to prevent the majority from forcing its views on minorities. That really is much of what the Constitution and Bill of Rights is all about. You don't get your way just because you are in the majority. Somewhere along the line that concept has been corrupted by fanatics on both the left and right.

Wish I could say that, but I have carried a couple of Glocks. Apart from them, I can say the same. I learned from Roy Rogers. He said to never point a gun at anyone unless you intend to use it. He didn't say you have to keep your finger off the trigger or else bad things might happen to you. It wasn't an issue for guns back then, and it isn't an issue now for the guns I carry. They are quite safe with my finger on the trigger.

She needs a tattoo on her forehead that says, "I have outstanding warrants."

Unfortunately, for some of these nuts you know exactly which side they will fall on. They will ignore reason and go with their beliefs even if they have to ignore reality to do that.
-
H&K doesn't hate us. They just don't care if we exist.

The two most theocratic Presidents I've worked for are Carter and Bush II. Both have proven to be absolutely miserable excuses for Presidents, partly because of their religious views. Carter scared the hell out of me. Bush vetoed scientific research for religious reasons. It will be a very cold day in hell before I vote for another candidate who makes a point of how religious he is.

Are we having a sensitive day around here? People seem to be getting all upset if other folks disagree with them. Dogs have different characteristics. Some are better hunting dogs, some are better guard or attack dogs. Some are better lap dogs. Same with guns. Some are better carry guns, some are better target guns. Some are better hunting guns. I don't buy this "don't say anything mean about my gun" stuff. If you want to hear no discouraging word about Glocks, Glock Talk is a wonderful, if irritatingly mindless, place to be. Personally, I want to see the merits and demerits of different guns debated. Why else would I be here? Go ahead and say nasty things about H&Ks and Berettas and Kel-Tecs. I can take it.

GUTTERbOY, except for the liberal rating thing, my feelings match yours right down the line. Here is a rating: http://nationaljournal.com/voteratings/sen/lib.htm Here's another: http://www.adaction.org/2006Senatevr.htm But I do know that theocrats scare me a lot more than liberals. +1
