  1. +1 on the .32 ACP Good thing i didn't let my dad run me completely out when he was trying out my P32, at least i have enough for 2 mags full and a couple extra.
  2. Never did this before but know it can be done just need a few pointers. Bought a s10 pickup with a salvage certificate becasue it was in a wreck from a insurance company. All it needed was the drivers fender, bumper, hood, and drivers door panels straighten out. Damage never made it to the frame or body mounting points. Appeared to be a sideswipe. No suspension or drive train damage at all. Drives like a champ. Took me about 8 hours to finish and spray to match the rest. Still need to realign hood a bit (was in a rush that day putting it on. Now i have the paperwork they gave me to take to dmv to get a rebuilt title on it. Before anyone cry's foul, it is going to be my daily work driver and parts runner and could care less on resell, since it will never go to another owner and will be either in the far future put to work on family farm or sold as scrap. So the rebuilt title is no biggie to me, ive owned one before. I don't sell car's. Never have i just run them in the ground. I just need some pointers on the process from salvage certificate to rebuilt title, never did that i hear of it done all the time i just never have.
  3. Hmm with some further research you can buy a .44 cal 58 Remington black powder pistol then get a converter cylinder that allows standard 45 ammo to be used in it. All mail order no background checks. Scary!
  4. Got to get me one of them Musky guns and be a good gang banger. I can see it now, shove it down his pants and the ball rolls out.
  5. I know this has been posted before and i don't live in Loudon County anymore but my dad and a cousin still do. The following gun ordinance was enacted by the Lenoir City Council. http://www.wate.com/global/story.asp?S=9534064 But what about <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr> <td>39-17-1314. Local regulation of firearms and ammunition preempted by state regulation — Actions against firearms or ammunition manufacturers, trade associations or dealers. — </td> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="3"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="3" height="12"> </td> </tr> </tbody></table> <table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td><!-- Text --> </td></tr></tbody></table> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tbody><tr> <td rowspan="5"> </td> <td colspan="3" height="12"> </td> <td rowspan="5"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="3"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> <td>(a) No city, county, or metropolitan government shall occupy any part of the field of regulation of the transfer, ownership, possession or transportation of firearms, ammunition or components of firearms or combinations thereof; provided, that the provisions of this section shall be prospective only and shall not affect the validity of any ordinance or resolution lawfully enacted before April 8, 1986. </td> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="3"> </td></tr><tr><td colspan="3" height="1"> </td></tr></tbody></table>
  6. Run ComboFix on it. (note do not save this file for another time, always download a new copy it is updated very frequently) http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe Then install the IEtab extension for firefox. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419
  7. Im running two Series 2 and will struggle if i ever had to go to a Series 3 setup. The one thing a 2 can do that a 3 cant is the IR blaster. I actually am using both sat and cable at the same time with mine and if i go primary sat then it wouldn't matter i just take the tivo with me. Btw those that love their Comcast dvr's, six words Tivo to Go and Multi Room Viewing.
  8. If the law said concealed carry and i lived in crossville i would open carry everywhere just for that.
  9. Better alternative to Tivo Desktop http://bellsouthpwp.net/d/c/dcahoe/tivo/index.htm Tivo Decoder GUI - Dumps out standard .avi files in seconds from the .tivo files downloaded from the tivo, so you can convert to any other format or burn to dvd or use on anything. http://www.gmonweb.com/portal/CodingFun/tabid/53/EntryID/3/Default.aspx
  10. A couple years ago my s10 blazer had a noise in the front like a dry spring for a couple day's. Drove to work at 70 and crossing railroad tracks, then after a long day at work i put it in reverse to back out of the spot and POP the right front dropped like a rock onto the tire. Lower ball joint broke thru the A arm. Would have been fun at speed.
  11. It burns me up hard everytime i see a gas station that says they are out of regular but will sell you mid grade!

    Kel-Tec P32

+11111 on the P32 Here's my pocket wonder Only trouble i ever had was with it failing to feed and i put a drop of oil on the feed ramp and all was good after that.
  13. Is it that hard to put a brass catcher on it?
  14. I have forgot it from time to time in the past in the rush to get out the door and not remmber it till i was down the road. But that changed awhile back after me and the wife was in a store parking lot late one night and had two guys eye ball us hard and started toward our direction while we where loading our car and all i had on me was my knife in my pocket. I stood my ground hard in a dead stare with the one that looked to be the leader of the two and asked if there was a problem when they got within 15 feet of us with my hand going into my pocket when i said it and they turned 180 degree's and walked away. Not after that night ever again! If they had followed thru that night it would have not been fun. I hold strong that it's better to have it and not need it, then to not have it and need it! Plus and $190 and not use it is just plain stupid.
  15. It would be a toss up for me on a head for the hill's weapon. but if it was becasue of a foreign fighting force invaded i would have to stay with something shooting 7.62x39 since a person could pick up ammo if they spotted a loner walking around, plus a few spare parts if needed. One thing to remmber that alot of people dont think about is that if it's a head for the hill's issue. Something that could go a long time without any cleaning would be a plus. Since a cleaning kit and stuff would not be on your high list of things to grab and something you would not want to barter for later.
  16. At under 100 yards i grab a AK or SKS. At over 100 yards i grab the 308. I got my feelings on the russian weapons from my dad which got first hand use of a early M-16 A1. You could look at it wrong and it would jam from the dust in the wind. Throw a AK in the lake into the deep mud, come back a week later and dig it out and shake it dry a bit and go to shooting. If i had to go with a american auto loader of modern military style rifle i would have to say there is a reason the army is issuing some of our guy's M14's again. That is a hard rifle to beat and wish i had one.
  17. Give me a hour if i really wanted to make up a fake bar code for one. Bar codes are completely too simple to modify for what ever information. It's just a pattern people! A few mins to relize which of the standard pattern's it is using (it has to use one trust me or the scanners wont work) and using two id's and a cheap cheap cheap bar code scanner and you could get a baseline on what info area means what and bingo you can make your own. Nothing is safe with bar codes.
  18. Just so you know the other one had my name on it!
  19. +1 I live in Sweetwater but that was the best of the list since it is open on Saturday
  20. Can't be as stupid as mine across the road. The house over there only sits less then 20 feet from the road. They tryed on the 4th of July last year to burn their house down by setting off bottle rockets and the such off of their 4 foot square front step right into the roof overhang. Then last year i spotted one of them getting their stash out of a brick in the front of the house which did i mention is LESS then 20 FEET from a main heavy travel (well atleast for my area it is) road in the daylight on a saturday. Just last week one was out mowing all 20 feet of grass in the front with a riding mower that is the manual shift type with a gear selector on the side and a forward reverse lever between your legs. After a few mins he was sitting still trying to rock it forward why jumping on and off the brake and moving the gear lever. After a few mins of that he walked over and asked if i knew anything about them and i asked if the lever was in forward and got the answer. What lever? No i think mine are in the running for moron's of the year.
  21. I have three good friends. One of them i have never set foot in his house before and only had a hi how are you with his wife out and about so i don't know her stance on it. But he has 100% knowledge it goes where i go and has no issue's since he's a former prison guard, other then he's never shot a handgun but i'm going to solve that soon for him. Another one he has no clue i have my permit or carry for a fact but since he's close with friend number three below then i can bet he almost bet's i do even before i was legal. And what he don't know till he asks or catch's me is fine with me. Friend number three on the other hand is a A1 carry permit holder from the start of the program. It's becasue of him and alot of talk's about it that i went and got mine. He absolutely knows i carry and actually get's pissy and call's me a chicken Sh** P**sy if i don't have it with me which is rare (he checks) but im still temid about the laws and such untill i get fully comfortable with where i can or cant carry so i tend to rule with dbout if im not sure about a place untill i know for sure. Hey i want to keep it for awhile yha know! His wife has no issue about it since she has a permit too. As far as strangers house's or any not listed above, i keep it covered and keep it on me and guarded at all times. If they was to find out and freak that is fine, i explained to my wife that she and the kids be ready to leave at that time if it happens since she knows it's on me to protect her and the kids, so it goes where i go.
  22. My wife got ahold of my new issue of America's First Freedom from the NRA today while i was taking a nap and read thru it cover to cover. Later while i was on the computer she sat down at her's and found the NRA website and started watching the video's on there while i sat across the room doing my thing letting her absorb it all on her own instead of proding her and there and after it all she got a real postive tone in her voice and words about the 2nd Amendment and alot of talk against the anti gun group's. She has finally understood all of what ive supported and preach about. And why i complain about going places that i can't lawfuly carry in. She even wanted to join the NRA even tho she has never personaly owned a firearm. The Heston video's with him talking really did a number on her. Next step - My Wife with a carry permit i bet!
  23. Umm this list is incorrect. For example i went to Athens Pizza Hut last week where i could buy and consume a pitcher of beer and they are not on the list.
