  1. Playing around on google earth last night and spotted this. Imageshack - 59843696 Umm when did the ground try to cave in?
  2. I carry a P32 with a extra mag in my right front pocket in one of these - Concealment Holsters Pocket Holster I love it.
  3. Better a 32 in the pocket then a 40 cal in the truck when you actually need it.
  4. Really it depends on what phone your going to use. I do not recommend one of their phones, i would get the starter kit with their sim and put it in a Nextel phone you will be much happier since it is just a prepaid nextel then. My wife use's a I880 which for nextel motorola's is a very top of the line phone, very good camera and i put gmail and opera programs on it and surfs the web good, even has a turn by turn gps navagation on it now. Where as my phone is the 8350i Blackberry Curve, loaded to the ****! This thing rival's the other 8300 series curve's on other networks. I can do just about everything, GPS mapping and Garmin spoken turn by turn, Full blown Opera browser, multiple radio streaming programs. Built in Wifi and much much more. With a special set of service books loaded you don't even need the monthly $40 BES/BIS service required on other networks. All for $54 a month unlimited. The text messaging is flawed sometimes to Verizon and back but comes thru great and perfect on the others. The only other flaw is a IDEN flaw and not a Boost one, you can only do one thing at a time on a IDEN network so if your on the phone text is delayed, if your sending text then the phone wont ring, if your surfing the net downloading a very big file then calls wont come thru and so on. I don't run into it and i burn the net up on mine but the wife has text's come in late since she wont get off the damn phone during the day. She burnt me up on our Verizon we had always going over the mins.
  5. Doing fine here, seem's to have same coverage as verizon in most area's. Bill is $54.63 per month after Tenn. get's there cut. You can use any iden phone from Nextel with them, i'm using a Blackberry 8350i curve with it after minor software mods everything but blackberry messenger works on it. I just ignore all the ghetto advertisement crap even tho i hear they are getting rid of it all. All the recent ad's where alot more grown up.
  6. When me and dad got our permit's (rare father son anything for decades) they was rolling his fingers back and forth on the touch pad taking a few tries each. It got to be my turn i asked the gal if i could try and hit each one first try by myself. Then got a odd look and asked how many times have i had my prints taken. She didn't believe the answer was none!
  7. Oh not to mention. I just got hit up to report for Jury duty next month! Gee just what i needed right now.
  8. After reading this thread - http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/non-firearm-classifieds/30554-pif-100-a-6.html I have a idea! At a forum i frequent there is a section called "Lean On Me" that is completely off topic from the rest of the place, where people can post and get stuff off their chest that's bothering them. I have seen alot of good come from it. It is a strongly written rule there that no one is judged by their post, and punishment is harsh for those that do, what post's in there stay's in there. For example - I have had a lot of health problems lately and soaked our savings down to the bone with doctor visit's, med's and time off work. Er vist's from chest pain and can't breath to my neck swelling almost completely shut more then once. And to beat it all work is slowing down for the winter season. I posted about the trouble with the doctors and my daily struggles and alot of people showed their support which lifted my thoughts from spouts of depression with thoughts off ending it to make the pain go away (that's not a joke people that's how bad it's been i was going 3-4 day's with no sleep at a time till i passed out from the pain) to me going thru everything the doc has thrown at me no matter the pain to try and find a long term solution. I even scrapped some life insurance together just in case. One thing to remember most of us do not know each other personally, or what each other does for a living. One of the things that made a difference is that one person on that forum just happen to be in the medical field and pointed me in the direction to nudge the doctor's looking at it differently. It's not cured and i'll never be cured from what i hear but life's been better the last couple weeks since they have gotten closer to the problem and started basic med changes to help deal with it. Not great but i get maybe 2-3 day's out of the week i feel like my old self. I'm in pain right now and can't sleep, just got off a 12 hour shift at work which is rare anymore just to sock some cash away to pay the bill's and give the kids Christmas this year. In two hours i have to drive to north knoxville from monroe county to meet with a doc, using cash for gas that i would much rather spend elsewhere just because the meds they tried me on last week messed me up worse (that's cash down the drain too). Then it's back off to work for another shift to pay some more with no sleep till maybe Friday. Give the wife a kiss and give the kids a hug today, you never know how many more you have.
  9. Both ends of the music spectrum but i like a very wide span of music. Blue October - Hate Me YouTube - Blue October - Hate Me Little Texas - What Might have Been ''What Might Have Been'' Video - Little Texas - AOL Music Remembering my rough stage and the gal i left behind years ago.
  10. To me its about the situation. If i have cover and the target is not approaching then i will use my sights to make them count. If i'm mobile or its heated as in target is approaching my cover then it is point shoot center of mass while i keep moving to secure distance or cover. Example: Person comes up with a weapon in a parking lot to me and attacks. Point shoot center of mass while moving for cover then goto sights for follow up if target wish's or can continue so i can save rounds.
  11. Exactly! Alot of people don't realize it comes down to the training level of the person you are up against, which you have a 0.000001% of knowing. Example: you don't know me from anyone here and would not know me on the street, but i could brutally and painfully kill you with a ink pen very quickly. Everything is a weapon in the right hands including nothing but their hands.
  12. Part of the reason i chose the SKS/AK range of arms instead of the AR (i do want one tho) is because of a film i seen years ago that had a military guy from Russia and a military guy from the US comparing the two for dust conditions. They buried the M16 in sand and the US guy pulled it out dropped the mag shook it out and charged it a few times and had a couple no feeds but he made it thru the mag with a bit of trouble. The Russian hand poured sand down the barrel and in the action on the AK and buried it. Pulled it out pointed it down and shook it, laid it down on the ground and then whipped out what he called his field cleaning kit with one hand and pissed on it. It fired all 30 rounds like it was new. The AR's in my book are nice accurate weapons far beyond what the AK series can put out in fit and finish. But if it don't fire when its dirty, then its nothing more then a ball bat. I wonder how many M14's they have on the shelf? Heavy and bulky but they will take a licking and the round is much stronger in my book.
  13. Boot up time is one thing and means very little in the big picture. Usage speed means far more and 7 is inline with or faster then XP in those test's and far faster then Vista. I'd rather have a cold nature d Corvette then a fast start Pinto!
  14. Split your hardrive and dual boot a RC. See which one you use most then decide.
  15. Windows 7 64bit perfect here. To answer a question there is standard compatibility mode and there is a new advanced kind. It runs in Windows Virtual PC - Windows Virtual PC: Home Page But is far more advanced that it puts a shortcut to your programs you install in the xp machine in the 7 start menu and allows running them from outside the virtual pc system using a full xp kernel. I have the 32 bit version on a laptop with a core duo 1.8ghz running a bit sluggish but it has only 512mb ram (1 gig addon upgrade on the way) with all the "candy cane" turned on tho so the new ram will fix it or i'll cut off the candy to make it smooth.
  16. Reminds me of a day with my cheapy 22 pistol i bought years ago. No decock or last round stay open. I counted my loads and when i got to what i thought was the end i pulled the empty mag and pointed it down and cleared the firing pin out of the cocked postion and found there was a extra one in the chamber which went 6 inch's from my foot into the ground. We all f**k up one day, thankful no one got hurt and you learned a lesson, i did.
  17. I'm having massive health problems lately (hard breathing and almost a heart attack saturday from complications from a new medicine) but pm me and get it to me before 3pm during the week or on a weekend and i'll fit you in and work on it during times i feel good during the day. Worse case i'll pull the info off in linux and redo windows but i have yet to find a virus i could not beat with enough will power. It make take a couple days tho with my current health.
  18. Must be hard to get the truck out of the ditch every time you goto the store if you do not ever put it in park? Or do you just aim it for a dirt bank or pole before you get out.
  19. Pull your mask over your head and walk in hold the gun in the air and scream "everybody be cool this is a robbery, put all the money in the bag and no nobody will get hurt" then run to the teller and throw the bag at them and ... Oh wait are we the robber or the robbie???
  20. This is something i do everyday. Rename combofix to killitall or something like that and run it in safe mode (f8 at boot before windows loads) because the Vundo trojan can not start in safe mode and it is a memory resident virus so killing it in standard boot will only slow it down. Then clean up after it in normal boot with Malwarebytes. Some version's of Vundo corrupt the windows socket and you will loose internet after you fix it. Run this - WinSock XP Fix Freeware download and review - fix XP internet connectivity from SnapFiles to solve that.
  21. I have had a lot of dealings with dealextreme for years now. A couple things to point out - Shipping can be very slow since they do not warehouse many products and get them from the manufacturers as they get orders and some things are a minimum order for them so they sometimes try to wait a bit to see if they get another order to not have to warehouse stuff. But if they have it on hand it is about 2 weeks on average to get something. Forget the Live help and forget emailing through the email you got from them or posting on there forums or doing a Paypal dispute on a missing item. Go here - DealExtreme: Customer Service Express has always worked for me.
  22. I decided to fight fire with fire whats some good binoculars for under $20 ? That is about all i can put into them but i feel it would be fun if i catch her watching to go sit on the deck and return the favor.
  23. I tried that last year and it turned into a we need to solve your problems "your meaning me" cookout with them planning more cutting down of my woods since they do not like the tree's.
