    Chili Season

I expect some dutch oven chili in oct. Dave. Im hankering fot a big bowl now.
  2. No. When I was over there we trained with the defense force. They still aren't allowed to have a real military and we are still obligated to protect the.
  3. Off topic, but I miss my deployments. Even the MEU, which was way to many months out to sea on a Navy ship. I got to see places I may never see again, and do things that a lot of people will never have the chance to experience. And the tax free pay checks weren't to bad either lol But, I did have a kid in the Philippines try to sell me a USMC issued M9 with ammo. I got him to hang around and called the LT for our unit, and we confiscated it when he showed up. Turned out he had snatched it from a SNCO's room about 2 hours prior in the hotel where all the officers and senior enlisted were living.
  4. Would someone please explain the difference in washing the sidewalk with a water hose, and the rain washing it? City threatens to fine business owner for water hosing bird poop from side walk. http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/top-stories/restaurant-faces-2000-fine-for-washing-away-bird-poop.html
  5. Yeah I wish I had an Uncle Willis to teach me to shoot, buy me a Sig and my HCP. Are you adopting? I'll pull my weight, I promise lol
  6. I'd still be more apt to buy something like a 90's model Buick or Chevy, or even a honda or toyota. They are cheap, plentiful, easy to park, easy to work on, good on gas, etc. Park the truck and keep it around for long trips, towing, etc. I had an extended cab, shortbed that I drove everyday in southern California traffic. I bought it for 18,500 and sold it for $25k. I had a lot of memories in that truck, and the day after I sold it I woke up regretting it, and I have every since. If you enjoy the truck, and can afford it, then I'd say keep it.
  7. Kinda off topic but who found your water source for ya? My uncle had a company find his, while my Grandpaw found my parents. Grandpa was a water witch and our well has never went dry, and its 73 ft. My uncles goes dry every summer and it was 127 ft. He didnt believe Papa could realy find water.
  8. Don't do it. I made a $6k profit when I sold my Duramax and I regret it everyday. You will regret selling the truck.
  9. Who was in the car when they threw away the safe, and what was in his hand?
  10. I havent heard of any cases, but not suprised as ticks have been horrible this year and I've seen several cases of lime disease.
  11. No. According to state law you cant have a round in the chamber of a long gun unless in immediate fear of your life. I think it has alot to do with stopping road hunters. That way they are a lot more wary of driving around spot lighting with a loaded rifle
  12. I bought this target and when I pulled it out it had these arrows stuck in it
  13. Yeah. I do pretty often around the farm and small community near by. Long guns must be unloaded unless you have an HCP and you can't have a round in the chamber unless in fear of your life.
  14. If they do that, they will be forcing Americas hand. We have thousands of troops over there. I was stationed on Okinawa, and if I remember right there are 16 U.S. military facilities on Okinawa, not counting main land Japan. If they did this, which I don't think they will, but if they did it would start WW3
  15. I was reading a draft power forum I frequent, and found this article. I know there are a lot of people here who loves animals, and several horse and mules riders in the crowd. This museum euthanized and stuffed two HEALTHY living mules for a display. I've written them a stronly worded letter, and will be spreading the boycott. I understand the animals were past their prime, I've worked mules and horses my whole life. But I don't think it was right to deny them their final years out to pasture relaxing, just because a stupid museum wanted a "life like" display. And yes I know the trader said their next stop was dog food, but there are hundreds of people who have stepped forward trying to purchase the mules for rescue before the museum did this. Fake, animtronic mules would have been perfect and conveyed the importance just as well. Disgusting.... http://www.kcbd.com/story/19565984/american-museum-of-agriculture-euthanizes-2-mules-for-exhibit Their facebook page if you would like to let them know what you think of this behavior. https://www.facebook.com/pages/American-Museum-of-Agriculture/187087493451?ref=ts
  16. You drill a hole a lil smaller, and cut it with a rasp/file into the shape and size you need.
  17. You can walk around your property with any firearm your allowed to own openly displayed. I walk my yard, fields, and woods with a loaded Marlin 336 in .35 rem and a Winchester Model 12 12 gauge all the time. You just can't discharge them in city limits so just keep that in mind if you live in town. As for the cops pulling me over, is it any of their business where I'm going? No. But I was raised to be polite and courteous, so unless the questions go beyond the normal mundane stuff, I'm gonna just reply in my normal tone, have a decent conversation with the man and go on about my business. I've been pulled over twice with unloaded long guns in plain view. The officer just ask if they were loaded, I said no, and he said alright, just leave them on the rack if you don't mind. Only gun interaction I've ever had with an LE and it was positive.
  18. Mark@sea built my rig for a very resonable price and it was perfect and beautiful. Id shoot him a pm.
  19. My dad is 5'10" and I'm 6'1" so yeahd hes a big one lol. Around 17+ hands and he weighed 2200 lbs last time we weighed him. Thanks
  20. How do I turn in an application for that? Id love to spend more time behind an anvil. Do you use coal, charcoal, or gas forges? Provide your own tools and anvil?
  21. Everybody made their plans? The time draws near...
  22. Id be down to beat something like that out at the meet.
  23. Vontar can you shoot me a link where you found that? I'd like to get a closer look
  24. So we were right in thinking it was t hill stuff up with? Any chance you remember how the point mounted up to the plow? Like what did the point bolt too?
