I love it. We need to get together, I have a old school ifak pouch and a big full medic kit that needs those. Tapatalk ate my spelling.

So I finally added one of these back into my kit. They are amazingly multi purpose. If you dont have one I suggesg you get one or 5. They make great head wraps, scarfs, face mask, water filters, makeshift sling packs, and I could go on. Anyways here is mine as a head wrap. And I hope he doesnt mind, here is bigbabysweets wearing his Tapatalk ate my spelling.

It could be done. I wouldn't want to be in it, but it couldn't be much worse than a "assault" or "combat" landing. Having worked on aircraft carriers and around c-130z it wouldnt be as bad as you might think with good pilots and a well balanced planed Tapatalk ate my spelling.

And I still use that 1 x 30 though I do need to order up a big order of belts. And I do prefer forging its just more fun to me, though stock removal is necassary to a point to clean them up. You can do stock removal with files, its slow but lots of people do it. And when your ready to try forging give me a holler Tapatalk ate my spelling.

Ill get fired up a little later. I have plenty, and the scars to remind me of them. I did cut my belt in half with the chainsaw tree climbing once. Thank God for safety lines Tapatalk ate my spelling.

Thanks man. Its definitely a big thick blade, but should work well as a camp knife. I loved the ninja turtles as a child, so this pleases me lol Yours is coming along, can't wait to get it done and pass it on. Thanks man. It should be stout enough to handle basically anything imaginable I made it early last year in the forge. It was one of the first I made after joining the site. About that time Major Kong did a pass around with a knife, and I decided to do the same. I sent it to 10 or 12 people with instructions to use and abuse it and give me thier impressions to make me a better knife maker. I was wondering if they could break it, and the worst that happened was someone managed to pop the guard loose lol. Tapatalk ate my spelling.

I shaved my head in the military because it was fast and easy. I used head blades, they just were quicker. I always used baby oil instead of shaving cream and went against the grain for the cleanest look. Tapatalk ate my spelling.

Marine Corps Officer Who Blew Whistle Being Railroaded From the Top
Spots replied to TMF's topic in General Chat
Wow. So much for the newest Commandant. Thats what happens when you put an airwinger over ground troops. Looking at the order he has been issuing recently, this is political. He is constantly pushing that Garrison mentality and pushing for retention of board winners and pencil pushers instead of war fighters. And then to railroad a Major for doing the right thing? I mean wtf. So much for Semper Fidelis Tapatalk ate my spelling. -
No way there would have been a previous water line as there has only been county water there for 5 years. Old water lines would have came from the well out back. I dont know about buried or dropped. Its unloaded and uncapped so I'm thinking buried possibly. No previous structures that I know of. Its verh possible that the gun could have been pushed around the property by a tractor bucket or a dozer when doing the yard or even the foundation, and an old habit used to be to have the county haul in the top soil from the ditches and spread that around the yard. It could have been throw in a ditch, then buried when the top soil was hauled in. Tapatalk ate my spelling.

Because it was a straight line off the city water line to the house, and there were no trees or obstacles to go around. It was just the best place to dig to install the new water line since there were no trees in tbe way and it was the shortest distanc point a to point b Tapatalk ate my spelling.

Start looking for rock now or be ready to pay alot for them. Chimney rock are hard to find. Thanks Pat, we try to be as self sufficient as possible. Thanks David, we try. Thank you. We don't really do work like that, there's so much to do at home. I work for a mason (my father in law) during the week and could put you in touch with him if youd like. Tapatalk ate my spelling.

No problem at all. I could send it to you to show to him if it would help? Tapatalk ate my spelling.

Well, I finally pulled it back out, rewelded the guard that had popped loose and tightened the handle. Then to change the look, and prevent the handle from cracking, I epoxied the crack that had started to form, then taped the handle up, and finally wrapped it in gutless paracord. I plan to remove the bottom guard that my hand it covering and possible cut the top guard down, but now its my go to camp knife. Before After Tapatalk ate my spelling.

We had to lay my dads chimney on up 6 more feet after redoing the roof on his house earlier this year. We laid all of it up saturday and I thought Id share some pictures. Most of the rocks averaged from 4 to 10 inches thick, 6" to 14" wide and 10" to 24" long. The lightest ones were 45 lbs and the heaviest ones were over 100. These are hand cut rock, hand hewed between 100 and 150 years ago. There are rock from over 37 different homestead chimneys in this one chimney. Anyways, hope yall enjoy My dad scraping joints Working on the scaffold Taking a break The finished product And for good measure, the hearth inside. This was our only source of heat when I was little, but back then it had a forced air insert for better heat. Now they clean it off at first frost and use it as a normal fireplace. This was all hand layed by my dad, and there are much larger rock under those for a foundation. Tapatalk ate my spelling.

The back strap wnd trigger guard are brass. Everything else includ8ng the frame is steel. It is a 6 shot, and it has the right barrel for a Navy, its a 7.5" octagonal barrel. His book says the serial number comes back as a 1976 Ruger Old Army. This isn't an Army pattern gun, not even close. I will give that a shot after I find someone who knows more about them than me to look at it. If it does turn out to be some off the wall contract model I don't wanna be the guy whonhates himself for ruining it by cleaning. Here is the serial number Tapatalk ate my spelling.

Its not an army pattern which would be an 1858 pattern Remington. Its an 1851 pattern Navy colt Tapatalk ate my spelling.
