  1. I hope Magpul sticks to their guns and leaves. Maybe that would wake some people up. If they don't, it's going to do make the gun community look quite spineless I'm afraid.
  2. Saw this on Facebook. I can't figure out how to post the article but I thought it was a great idea and knew you guys would want to participate. I sure will be!!! Anyone with more info please post it. :usa:
  3. Well done StPatrick!!! I hope CO comes around but if they don't, I would LOVE for them to come here!!!!
  4. Seems more like patience to filter through the propaganda and focus on the information you're trying to get to me. Either way, more power to ya OS
  5. Haha you have a lot better composure than I do OS. I can't hardly watch Fox News without my blood reaching 3000 degrees, let alone BSNBC.
  6. Wow! That's pretty good! I like the first two the best
  7. I talked to Lt. Ailey at the Pro 2A rally and asked him directly about whether or not Sheriff Berrong would enforce unconstitutional gun laws in Blount County. He said that he definitlely would not. I was disappointed that the sheriff did not show up in person. I would have liked to hear it directly from his mouth. Hopefully we'll never have to see if he keeps his word.
  8. I've used them occasionally. They're ok. I have had misfeeds but I think i just need to clean them.
  9. Can I "like" more than once? :D
  10. So what was said anti's "platform"? What was her reasoning? If there was any...
  11. Great turnout, good publicity, no one did anything stupid...I say we chalk it up for a win!!
  12. It appears that the handgun shown in the first picture is a Glock. It could be that the Glock has a longer barrel or that the holster they make for Glock is a little bit different length-wise. I agree with you that it looks like yours should come further down than it does. Is the trigger guard  seated all the way down in the space provided for it in the holster? If it is, you should be fine carrying with that holster if it doesn't bother you to use a holster that appears to be made for a slightly longer gun. Just my .02. I'm not an expert in leather holsters. Yours looks to be made really well though!
  13. Hope to see a lot of TGO'ers at the rally today! Looks like its going to be a beautiful day for it!!!
  14. David (dlm37015) is the only one I know of. He usually has a good supply.
  15. I didn't even know there was one at the capitol. Give 'em hell! :usa:
  16. I take absolutely nothing from any part of the government at face value. There's a lot of hidden motives everywhere, some not hidden at all. I think that we are both trying to say the same things, we just have different ways of saying them. I apologize for the misunderstanding as well. I'm glad we could resolve this like grown, reasonable men. :usa:
  17. Leroy,   First, If my post had been directed at you, I would have quoted you. If you didn't forget a dammed thing, condemn the war or the troops, then that post was in no way directed to you.   Second, a lot of people have and do condemn the war and the troops. Nowhere in my post did I say that you did. However, Mr. Paul's statement was very disrespectful and indifferent, almost smug. That's more or less the type of stuff I was going after. Before this issue, I never had a problem with Ron Paul. I am also a Constitutionalist. I'm not trying to cheap shot anyone. Just giving my two cents as a veteran and an American citizen.
  18. The main problem with modern war (and by modern I mean from Vietnam till the present) is that we are trying to fight with our hands tied behind our backs. I have been in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. I have seen this first hand. The war could have been over with in a year or two easily if we had just went in there and fought the war like wars should be fought. Instead we practically had to get congressional approval to kill a terrorist.   Those who say we have no business in the Middle East have obviously forgotton 9/11 and who perpetrated it. The Taliban and Al Qaeda should have been totally wiped out long ago. Yes, there would have been civilian casualties, but then when you look at it, 9/11 was mostly civilian casualties ON PURPOSE! Just something to think about before you start condemning the war and the troops who give blood, sweat, tears, limbs, and sometimes their own life to defend you.
  19. Haha just saw this thread. I posted a new one before I saw yours but I guess the more the word gets out, the better! I included the link to an article in the Daily Times.
  20. I just got an email about this today. Apparently a Lt. from BCSO has organized a rally in support of the 2nd Amendment at the Maryville courthouse! They say signs and licensed concealed carry are welcome but no long guns. Not sure about open carry. This is a great thing to have going on right here at home and I'll be there hell or high water and I hope lots of you all will be as well. It would be nice to meet fellow TGO'ers but not sure how to really go about that. Anyway, please come if there's any possible way you can and hopefully i'll see you there! :usa: Here's the link to the article.   http://www.thedailytimes.com/Local_News/story/Rally-for-the-2nd-Residents-to-speak-out-against-gun-control-id-032802
  21. Disgusting. The fact that Mr. Kyle served in Iraq had absolutely nothing to do with his death. That was a very ignorant comment on Mr. Paul's part. Very disrespectful to a great American patriot.
  22. LG-Outdoors.com has some reloading supplies left. I ordered some hollow points from them the other day and got them yesterday. Shipping was a little slow but in this day and age, just getting them is all you can really ask for. I had never heard of them but I decided to give them a shot and thought I'd post it here. All their inventory is real-time so if you see it you can buy it, so they say.   They are out of a lot of popular bullet weghts so don't think you're gonna get any 230 gr .45s or anything
  23. Wow! I have been drooling over one of their mounts for a long time but that thread makes it a little harder to spend money with them. Just gotta decide which is more important between good product and respectable company I guess. It's a shame we have to make that choice.
  24. I totally agree. I wish that elections weren't decided by who has the most money. Congress was meant to be comprised of normal citizens who go to Washington for a few years then return to their career. Not by career politicians who have never held a real job. P.S. Community Organizer doesn't count.
  25. Thanks very much and letting me know what’s on your mind regarding the right to bear arms. I’m a strong supporter of Second Amendment rights. Congress should not pass laws that take away these rights from law abiding citizens and leave criminals to terrorize the streets. Good citizens don’t abuse guns – criminals do. I will continue to support legislative efforts to protect the Second Amendment rights of law abiding Americans, and oppose efforts to overturn the Second Amendment. In two recent cases, the U.S. Supreme Court clearly held that the Second Amendment protects the right of individual Americans to keep and bear arms. In the 2008 case, D.C. v. Heller, the Supreme Court held that D.C.’s restrictive gun laws violated the constitutional rights of Americans. Two years later, in McDonald v. Chicago, the court struck down the city of Chicago’s handgun ban and held that, like the federal government, state and local governments must respect Second Amendment rights. I joined legal briefs in both cases in defense of this constitutional right and was pleased with the Supreme Court’s decisions. I am grateful you took the time to let me know where you stand. I’ll be sure to keep your comments in mind as Second Amendment rights are discussed and debated in Washington and in Tennessee.
