  1. I picked up a gen 3 23 last week and finally had a chance to shoot it today. While I like the size(for carry), the grip does not fit my hands. I have large hands and my fingers sit on top of, instead of down in the finger grooves of the grip. I know hogue makes a rubber grip to add but I don't think it with help although I may order one to see. Any other ideas? I thought about sending it off to have the front of the grip smoothed but I'm not sure how it would look or feel.
  2. What brand is this one?
  3. Unfortunately, that's about what happened to me last year. I was hoping to help a landowner put a field together but I've had no luck finding anyone. I may put something out in my front yard. LOL. That'll make the neighbors happy.
  4. I think I'm going to go with the TT Slim XC. I've never been happy with any kydex owb holster I've owned or tried, so I'm leery of trying one now. Now to decide if I want it for my 22 or 42?
  5. Thanks. I'll check it out
  6. Can you explain the differences in the different models?
  7. Wow, I like the TT but my wallet doesn't. LOL Is that the Slim XC model?
  8. Thanks. I'll look at these. What position do tall prefer, middle of back, kidney, side???
  9. I've never tried a IWB holster, I always thought they looked uncomfortable. But due to summer heat and my Sunday cloths OWB is not an option to CC. I'm not into baggy clothes(or skin tight for that matter). I am a 36" waist if that matters any. I mostly carry a glock 22 or glock 42. What holster do y'all recommend?
  10. Have you tried Outpost? Also, there is a smith in Lascassus who I've been told is good but I've not personally tried him. I'll try to get his number from a buddy.
  11. Yeah, I live in the county. We should have enough room behind my house. If not, my parents have a couple hundred acres in Woodbury. PM me your number and we'll get together.
  12. Just what I was looking for, someone with both to compare them. I'll look into the buckmark/tacsol combo a little more. Thanks for the offer but I'm not sure when I can get that way.
  13. I have read that the closer it is mounted to the barrel, the less you have to adjust it. But I wanted to hear ever ones opinion. I will look at the warranties. Thanks
  14. I have a sparrow. It is 6.5 oz. What mods would either need? Barrel suggestions if I go with the buckmark? Thoughts on the Mueller? My only concern is that it looks to set up high.
  15. I'm looking to get another 22 pistol. My P22 doesn't really fit my hands so little man just got his first pistol. I will be shooting it suppressed and i am thinking hard about a MRDS. I like the feel of the buckmark but I know that I will have to replace the barrel, which adds to the cost. I like the new 22/45 lite cobalt, aluminum lightened barrel and a rail. My worry on the 22/45 is that the rail is too high and will cause problems with my red dot. Also, will the poly frame hold up to a suppressor? Thoughts? Also, I'm looking at the Mueller Quick Shot, any opinions or reviews on this sight?
  16. Don't remind me. Lol It'll come, check the website. I never got an email for my SBR
  17. Sounds good
  18. I have about decided on the RAR. Is there a 1 piece scope base made to fit it? When I search, the Weaver #12 is all that comes up.
  19. Does anyone have a RAR in 22mag? Like it,hate it?
  20. I expected that answer but for some reason I have rimfire on my mind.
  21. I have the rimfire magnum bug bad. I plan to mostly use it for suppressed varmint hunting. I had a Ruger 77/17 in 17 HMR and liked the round but I had to pick and choose my days to shoot it based on wind. Plus, it was almost too nice to carry in the woods. I like what I've read/heard about the new 17 WSM but I don't like the B-Mag and don't plan to spend the money on another 77. Plus, Silencerco does not list 17 WSM for my sparrow. So, I've about decided on 22 mag. I plan to try some of the new polymer tipped 30gr rounds.   Now, I have to decide on which gun. I'm back and forth between the Magnum Research 10/22 mag and the Ruger American. MR does not sell a magnum with a threaded barrel, so I would have to get another barrel and after using a KIDD trigger in my 10/22, I would want a better trigger. The RAR comes with a threaded barrel but I don't like the stock, so I plan to get a Boyd stock. I've read that modifying the RAR trigger is fairly easy if I don't like it or I saw that Timney makes one for it.      Any suggestions or opinions on the caliber or rifle to get? I know that using one of my 223 would be cheaper/possibly better route but I want a rimfire. I have looked at a Savage 93, and I just don't care for the magazine sticking out.
  22. I honestly don't remember even seeing a tag. I had my 4year old with me and I was so disappointed with the quality that I never looked for a tag. It was on one of the lazy susan's out on the middle.
  23. It was at the Outpost. Have at it if you want, I'm not going to get it.
  24. I got my father in law a gamo bone collector at Walmart. Pretty nice.
  25. Yeah, I've looked on Bud's. They're out of stock on 17s. I'll either go with 17hmr or 22wmr. I'm back and forth, I had a 17 once before and it was devastating on whatever it hit but even the slightest wind thru it off. I'm thinking about the 22wmr and using the 30gr ballistic tip shells. I want to stay with a rimfire because I'll be using a suppressor. That is another reason I'm looking at the Ruger, one model comes with a threaded barrel. I did look at a used A17 a couple of days ago and I was not impressed. I understand why the mag falls out, it is a cheap piece of molded plastic "glued" to a piece of metal. The stock was cheap and flimsy looking but I don't know that it's any worse than others in its price range.
