Thanks. I meet with John Thursday but have been trying to figure out what I need to get lined out on engraving. I know the law states at least 0.03 deep but should I go a little deeper since I plan to ceracoat?

Will this combo work?
gomer pyle replied to gomer pyle's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Thanks. I know the can won't fit inside the rail but I didn't know how much barrel I needed sticking out. -
this 12.5" barrel(http://ar15performance.com/inc/sdetail/11562/14399) with this 12" DD lite rail III(https://danieldefense.com/rail-systems/ar15-lite-rail-iii/ar15-lite-rail-iiitm-12-0-rifle.html) and a saker 7.62 with trifecta maad module on a muzzle brake( http://www.silencershop.com/shop/silencerco-saker-762/). i read somewhere that 1" of barrel needs to be extended past the rail but didn't know if that was right or not. this is the combo i want but will change if i need to. i'm going to get my trust taken care of next week and then on to spending money

can somebody post a link to or walk me thru the trust process? i have looked and searched and maybe i am overlooking it but i don't see it. i want to do a trust and plan to do a SBR and can for a 300blkout. Answered but have another question and don't want to clog up the board. I am going to do a trust. What needs to be engraved on my receiver? i have read NFA 6.2.1 and all of 7.4 and i'm not a lawyer so i'm still not sure. Since i am using a CMTtac lower, it will already have a manufacture serial number. i got the posting at the bottom from a lawyer's website. i assume that "i" will be CMT's model number? "ii" will be from CMT? "iii" my trust name??? "iv" the town i live in or the town where i work, had the receiver engraved, or did my trust? I had the same problem. Mine ended up being the tube and block not lining up. I had to put them together and drill the tube to line it up.

I'm in Christiana and have them(I've got to hunt for them)

we just dropped direct last week. little man is 4 and we have actually found more shows he likes on netflix, plus he has the option to chose which one he wants.
-
A family friend gave us $250 to invest for our son(4). He wanted us to invest in something with compound interest and that little man would be able(if he wanted to) to pull out in his 20's(down payment on a house, car, etc..). I don't know anything about investments, I have a 401k and a Wroth IRA but they are through a company. Can I or how can I invest it myself? I looked on e-trade but was unsure. Anybody have any ideas or help?

I have read most of the threads(and just reread them). They tell me opinions on what to get but not how any of them work. ie, if I want to watch the most recent ncis episode which service? Are they all mostly the same thing or are some tv show based and some movie? I know utube will get little man cartoons and apps will get some or most shows.
-
Comcast is supposed to run service to my house next week(keep in my fingers crossed) for internet. We currently have direct but don't watch TV that often. With over $100 a month bill we are looking at other options. We don't watch sports period. Its mostly Disney, hallmark, history, and discovery channels. We have a couple of shows(ncis, ncis la, etc..) that we like to watch but dont care if its that exact night and we have a 4 year old. I don't really unstand how roku or any of those work or what I need. I plan to get chrome cast to do YouTube videos but I'm lost from there. Tell me what I need and how they work. Thanks and happy new year edit: i don't have internet at home yet and can only look at stuff on my phone so i was unable to do the research i needed/wanted to do. i finally got a little time on a pc at work and found this site to explain a little more about the different devises(i didn't know that roku was a devise and not a service) http://techforluddites.com/streaming-media-players-overview/ i still have to do more research on the different services but thought i would put this up for anyone else thinking about doing this

Anyone else had the stomach flu for Christmas?
gomer pyle replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
I had it the week before. Same thing, took about four days to get right. -
This was the same price I saw there. I haven't been back since they opened. Seem like nice people, but prices are kinda high
-
^^this. They were a vendor so I didn't think to elaborate.

Outpost has CCI minimags for 8.99, 1000rd limit. They had some other 22s also.

I'm not set on anything. After looking at the diamond heads, I really like them.

are name brand ar's really worth the extra dough?
gomer pyle replied to gomer pyle's topic in Long Guns
I've also been looking at BCM uppers. Just wondering if my OCD will let me have different brand lower attached? Also, for whatever reason, whenever I start building a gun, it always ends up costing way more than I thought when I add all the extras I "need". This what got me started looking at name brands, plus the wow factor. -
After working a piss load of OT lately and with the prices down on ar's, I decided I "need" a new gun(I wish I had kept my SIG 516). I keep looking at DDM4A1(also looked at LWRC IC SPR) but the tightwad in me keeps cringing. I've also looked at buying complete upper and buying/building a lower. I don't own a "bought" ar. Besides possible(but unlikely) resell down the road, is there a reason to get the name brand?

My wife has started asking about Christmas gifts. I need some backup sights. I've been looking the Troy tritium battle sights. Any other, same quality, options to look at? Cheapest place to order? Dioptic or standard?
