  1. Can anybody recommend someone in the murfreesboro area that can change(or help me change) all the springs? Also, im havinga hard time finding a factory kit in stock.
  2. I'm not sure on LE trade-in, I picked it up from a TGO member who is not LE. I plan to use a factory glock spring kit, as this will be my carry gun, any reason not to? I plan to order an extended mag release and slide release but have not heard about grinding the mag release down, I'll look into that. thanks
  3. I picked up a gen 2 19 today. Wow, why did glock have to add the finger groves on gen 3s and 4s? It feels so much better and I shoot a lot better with it. If I looked correctly it was manufactured in 1/92. It came with a beaver tail which I plan to remove, I have to order a trigger pin. Should I order/replace all the springs in it, considering I don't know the round count? Anything else I should consider/do?
  4. Pics? What did you use to undercut?
  5. Maintenance items was where I intended for my question to go.  It has factory night sights and I don't plan to do anything with the trigger, so I'm good there. I do not reload and don't plan to shoot "hot" loads, do I still need to look at case support on this gen 2 barrel? and if so, what/how do I check it?
  6. Well, I picked up a gen2 20 today. After handling/shooting the gen 2, I couldn't pass it up. It feels so much better in my hands than a gen 3 or 4. Is there anything I should check or do to my 20?
  7. I have followed it. I do want the slide milled instead of a dovetail mount. It adds time and money to send the slide and have it done vs buying it ready to go. If it were not for this I don't think I would have as hard of a time deciding.
  8. I don't plan to suppress a 10mm BUT I didn't plan to get the other two suppressors that I do have, so it is something in the back of my mind on any new purchase. A RMR is a good possibility, this is the main reason I'm thinking about the 40.
  9. I assume the 20 and 40 share the same receiver like 17/34?
  10. I don't have 3xl's but they are fairly big. Im concerned it will be uncomfortable. With the kick of 10mm, I'm concerned if I will be accurate
  11. How much bigger is the grip on a 20 vs 17?
  12. I learn something new everyday
  13. I actually found a gen2 20 after I made the original post. I'm going to try to go look at it while I'm off this weekend. I kinda thought I would like a 40 better but I'm back and forth

    10mm Glock

For some reason, I can't get a 10mm off my mind. I'm looking at either a 20 or 40. This will be a night stand/woods gun (probably not a lot in the woods). I'm set on a glock, so I'm not really interested in looking at other brands. How hard is it to handle(i.e. The finger groves on gen3 23 don't fit my big hands)? Should I consider a SF?
  15. AND it's on sale, I better order two.
  16. I don't need it but I really like that
  17. My only concern was about reliability. I hope the day never comes that I have to defend myself but if it ever does, I won't be worried about what some lawyer will say! If it's not about the ammo I used, it will be something else. I have always carried Federal HydraShoks but just got to wondering "why not".
  18. That makes more sense but I've been told any reloads.
  19. I have never done any reloading so this may be a dumb question! I have always been told to never carry reloaded ammo(i.e. Freedom munitions), to always carry factory new ammo. What is the difference? They both use assembly lines. I've had factory new ammo screwed up. Just something I had on my mind.
  20. You beat me to it. If you want a hobby and something for your kids to do outside, this would safer and more affordable(i.e. Equipment).
  21. I read that the front sights are the same and that 43 rear sights would work on 23 but not the other way. I don't remember where I read it and I haven't tried it.
  22. LOL. That was great. The sad part is, some people believe that.
  23. PM sent with my phone number
  24. I don't think I "need" them as far as towing/stopping ability. After reading the new laws, I think I need them for legality issues. It is my understanding that any new trailer(I think from '13 up) has to have brakes on both axles.
