  1. Well, how about a relevant video ...   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgMXWRAedS8     This is why I always use a metal security box and cable lock....nothing is 100%, but I would have lost this camera, and several others through the years if I hadn't used some basic security.  Shout out to http://www.camlockbox.com/ for great products....it's who I use, and I run over 27 cameras.
  2. What part of TN are you moving to?...If it's middle TN, give me a shout and you can shoot both on my dime.  That said, I prefer the G19.
  3. I'd be happy to help you with your problem of making a dent in the 6K .22's....
  4.   Prayers sent
  5. Nice....there goes my Christmas bonus!
  6. Praying for you... :usa:
  7. I know about the CLEO signature and printing- not worried about either...   I hear it takes a bit longer without a trust...again, no problem...   I don't plan on leaving it/them to any relatives after I'm gone...   So if I just go the CLEO route, will I have any PRACTICAL issues in day to day operations of the NFA item?   Will I be able to let friends shoot it (under my supervision) at the range?   If I kick off, can my wife legally transport it to a class 3 dealer to sell it as part of the estate?   Anything else?
  8. Just trying to help out.... :usa:     Illegal Christmas Gifts for Guys       Clothing of any kind that has 3 or less syllables in it. Scarf-                    no Underwear-           no Thinsulate camouflaged hunting gloves-               yes   Any tool or gadget that comes from a store that primarily sells cloths.  A wrench set from Dillards-no, a wrench set from Sears- yes.   Excessive hygiene products-  The socially acceptable amount is 1 deodorant and 1 new toothbrush.  Anything over that amount will find its way into a drawer for all eternity in the case of deodorant, or into our gun cleaning kit in the case of a toothbrush.   Any product who’s intended function is to promote participation in household chores.  “Warm slippers” that will supposedly function as an incentive for us to take out the garbage on cold days would fall into this category, as well as violate the 3 syllable clothing rule.   Excessive fruit-  The standard “apple/orange/grapefruit” in the toe of the stocking is acceptable, as long as it’s of the variety that the “giver” will eat.  Only one is permitted, however.   Fruitcake   Volume vs. value violations-  things like candy (of the type we like) are fine, but stuffing a 9 pound bag of cotton candy that has a cubic volume of 2/3 TSV (total stocking volume) is a direct violation, and would further take up valuable space that could have been occupied by items such as Bass Pro gift cards and boxes of shotgun ammo.   Health food-  Read the label, if the total fat content in grams is less than one half of the products weight in grams, we don’t want it.  If the product package contains any of the following words… “granola, Slim Fast, Jenny Craig,  low sodium, organic, or tofu”, put it back.     Any and all gifts that are designed to increase our culture or social standing  in the community.  Two tickets to the ballet, followed by a wine and cheese social…never.  Rush is on tour in 2015…, we’ll only need…, ahem… one ticket.
  9. Black rat snake...harmless, non-venomous, and good to have around

  12. Renewed by mail about a month ago..., kept the paper with the old permit as required..., just got the new permit in the mail today, only it's a new design, and has, in addition to the permit #, another 16 digit "DD" number.  What the heck is that?
  13. David,    I sent an IM a week or so ago, only to discover the "don't send an IM" topic here today,so is there a way (email, phone or other) that I can ask permission to post a thread containing a link.  There are specifics involved that I guess you would have to approve prior to me posting, and I would like a chance to detail it out for you.   Leafinthewind
  14. prayers sent :)
  15.   I am "sharpening impaired"...I admit it.  I could make a spoon dull.  But how would you sharpen the blades of these things with rubbing compound?...Buffer wheel?
