  1. You don't need much pistol 3 mags 2 mag carriers ammo and a belt, and fwiw don't read the post on the mall. Ninja and his first match you may laugh too hard.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.
  2. I don't have any scoop but this appears to be another typical blatant abuse of the DV system. I used the word appears because it is abused all of the time as a vengeful or retaliatory tactic.i wish prosecutors would prosecute false reports by those that cry wolf. The ones that usually need help don't get it. If someone thinks someone wants to have sex with them that's not ground for an op. if someone swears that they're life was threatened and they were placed in danger an OP is plausible. I hear of cases like this and it pisses me off. We have women that want to fight in combat roles and make the extra money and we have the same that want to be treated as fragile scared and weak when its convenient for them. It makes no sense. Spend years with someone and all of a sudden he or she wants to kill you I don't work DV cases but the guys that do deserve double pay for putting up with all the lies and career destroying BS. Like my dad used to say : you don't like it? Pack your trash and leave. All this one had to do was file a civil rights / sexual harassment complaint and move with it IF it was true... From what were reading... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.
  3. Can the promoters or contest directors please post upcoming TN and KY shooting events on the TGO calendar.I just looked at it and saw nothing but birthdays I like birthdays but its easier to know whats going on  where without hitting 3 websites and 36 posts. These events are awesome, but the dates can be confusing when someone says we have 3 gun next week and you cant find the when where and time.I know I can figure it out if I dig and dig  but sometimes were short on info based on whats posted. The last posts in the upcoming goes back to june 2013,and the automatic dates arent always correct The calendar makes it easy for all of us to stay on top of it !!! Thanks in advance!!!
  4. The IDPA matches are fun.I always plug em cause its just a good time for anyone that enjoys a good time with firearms and a little competition.Plus the guys that attend always help us noobs which is a big plus!!

  10. I just yanked a prs stock off of 1 of mine and replaced it w an ace Arfx I had stashed.away. It took my rec 7 down to 7.5 lbs. I saw a few folks making carbon fiber rails that may shave more weight but that's about all I can think of to save weight for now..the prs is heavy though...but at the same time I wanted a lightweight non folder. 16. Oh well, I just posted it cause it looked interesting.we used frozen old m16's and 1911's in Norway during training. lubed em using clp back in the 80's that crap worked to along w heat tabs to keep hands warm all good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.
  17. Most DVR's have a network card,so those that do can hit the net. Wireless stuff works. Usually you can run 4 channels w minimal interference, over a short distance. Wireless isn't the most secure method to use, again more money for encryption transmitters and receivers. Wifi can be ok but now you're hogging bandwidth and if you're storing to a Ddns or outside server more crap to deal with. Hard wire is and has been the optimal method as there's minimal issues. I've used transmitters and receivers worth megabucks and we still have the same problems as one would have using low quality gear.fear radio not copper. I've got gear that's been running for almost 10 years w no issues. Analog cams on rg59 Siamese coax running to DVR's w net cards piped to Ddns servers for offsite access. Simple cheap and still working. Super circuits has some basic tutorials as well as dept of justice. In the end u have to know what u need to see, how you're going to see it, what quality of image u want, how it will be stored, retrieved , and presented and viewed when needed. 2 things not to skimp on are cams and DVR, also use a ups so a lightning shot won't kill the system, and make sure you're stuff is properly grounded or you'll be chasing gremlins and replacing stuff which could have been prevented ...there's the video time tip for the day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.

  19. 100 yards indoors or out? You might save a little on cable but may end up with loss in signal quality and other issues in the long tun over time w cat 5 You can run power and video through cat 5 I just wouldn't use the std POE setup everyone is pushing today. You can run analog video and power 750 feet w no loss without having to use an amplifier or switches and hubs on coax. Can save some money Also using cat 5 without switches and hubs and overpriced power supplies in the std Poe configuration is possible W Poe u have to add switches poe power supplies likely use a hybrid dvr and terminate each end w an rj 45 connection very time consuming if you want hit me off list w how many cams u want to run ,specify indoor or outdoor and I can flip vendor info and pricing back using cat 5 and coax for you if that'll help! 20. Was at the range today. Last time I worked my 516 all was smooth as glass. Was shooting umc 55 grain life was good. Grabbed a new box of 62 grain 556 green tip by accident. After 200 rounds the rifle started doing a double tap after every 5 or 6 rounds. What a ahitty feeling. After the 3 rd time of this happening, I did an lti, cleaned the bolt piston, gas plug, went through everything, looked at the primers good to go. Reloaded 3 rounds fine then a double tap. Put it away and left for the house. Not wanting to fix something till its broke, I broke it out again pissed thinking your going back to sig bastard... On the left side the most forward pin holding the hammer walked itself out if the hole to where the hammer had enough slop to be labeled as the cause. I put the pin back in place all good cept the trigger feels like crap all gritty and nasty. Anyhow I guess I'll call sig on Monday to check on this and consider another hiperfire and pins I can safety wire. I knew about triple tap drama at other locations and thought this may have been heading that way...luckily it didn't Moral of this post if your ar starts doing a double tap on its own check your triggers hammer pins along with the other usual suspects.. 23. Going POE is a waste unless your using more than 8 cameras alongside of an existing network Ever focus DVR's work well, I've used many of them. It's more cost effective to pull rg59 Siamese cable and use analog cameras to make your system cost effective. Right now 700 line domes w IR illumination for night use are under 150.00 each, one can get into a 4 or 8 channel DVR for under 500.00 . Avoid SAMs and Costco junk if your semi serious about video surveillance. If you have money to burn you can go w full blown system using Poe and megapixel cameras but at the end of the day it's all about what you want to see and image quality. Video over twisted pair is ok but still requires tweaking and money spent to produce a good end product. If anyone needs help w this run it past me we deal w this everyday. Also check out unix CCTV and eastern CCTV online to get an idea of what's available. Lotsa stuff out there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.
