He didn't dump anything. The trucking co is responsible. He probably dropped the trailer cause they owed him money, or he was doped up,but took the tractor so he would have a ride home. I feel for the truckstop having to deal w that mess, lawyer I ain't,but,it's purely a civil matter. I'm surprised the police allowed a stolen vehicle report to go on especially when the owner knows who has the truck. It wouldn't fly in nashville for sure.
-
The co can't do anything because the whole deal is under their care custody and control. However there is a system called D a C that allows trucking companies to enter information about a driver's performance that can be shared with other trucking companies.some companies use DAC some don't but DAC was established because of idiots like this one that piss off company owners by behaving badly while on the job D a C is also a helpful tool for law enforcement, for many reasons when acquired properly...

Guys do that when they claim they're owed money etc, the companies try to report the vehicle stolen, which they can't, and end up getting screwed. Or stuck w Voldemort chickens

Putting up video surveillance signs a good idea?
Dustbuster replied to jgradyc's topic in General Chat
tough call, ive seen where dirtbags wear masks as to where the video makes em look like ninjas breaking in and leaving. i think a sign in english and spanish that says: there is nothing here worth risking your life over. no trespassing. even worse,a sign lets em know to come back masked. i caught a dumbass would be robber once because my video system stores offsite as well as on. plus i got a great faceshot and vehicle info. he worked for a contractor i hired to do roof work. we jacked the roofer and told him i would deport his ass to juarez mexico letting everyone know how great he was working for the dea. his boss was in on it but i dealt w that later. one of the best things to do is put cameras up. use the sign i mentioned, and hide cameras inside so if they de mask, youll het that great iD shot for the cops. hope this helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk, Hell yeah it ate my spelling!!! again!! -
By Nick Beres. CREATED 3:57 PM - UPDATED: 6:15 PM MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - You never know what you might find at an estate sale. A high-dollar purchase in Murfreesboro led to a cache of illegal weapons. Murfreesboro police said an innocent buyer ended up with more than he bargained for while looking for a deal. Police said a man shopping at an estate sale purchased the entire lot. He bought boxes and boxes of guns which resulted in three truck loads. Later as he sorted through the boxes he came across two illegally-modified shotguns. The barrels had been sawed off very short. "The good Samaritan brought them here to the police department to be destroyed," said Kyle Evans with the Murfreesboro Police Department. Evans credits the man for turning them in and keeping them off the street
