Those of us in the techie world have probably already seen this, but for the rest, Open AI is releasing a text-to-video product called Sora. https://openai.com/sora
To put it simply: Imagine just telling a chat box to make you a video of a cat fighting a dog over a banana. A few moments later, presto! you have that video available to you.
Personally, I'm trying to view it from the side of light. We could get some very cool stuff like sci-fi movies with "actors" that aren't spouting their political beliefs, etc, etc. However, we all know that it'll be used for more nefarious purposes. "Black Mirror" type stuff, among others.
Remember, this is AI video in its infancy. So as you scroll through these videos, you'll probably be impressed by the realism... until you pay closer attention. Things disappearing or having no weight. The process not understanding how mass works or collision when objects touch. other times something sprouts a new limb or simply disappears once it's out of primary focus.
So regardless of what you think.. we're entering a really wild time...- 1

I haven't seen Loudermilk but definitely enjoyed Old Henry. Well made film and I believe filmed here in TN.
The basic story: The main guy is an alcoholic who runs a support group. He's generally spiteful about everything. Each episode starts with him calling out someone publicly for what he perceives as sub-optimal behavior (like the clip above). The support group and the people around him all have extreme personalities and are just goofy. Overall it's pretty darn funny.

Bringing this back. If you haven't watched it, Old Henry is good. I really like Tim Blake Nelson
Also started watching Loudermilk with my wife. That's a pretty funny show.

Ask your Dr. about viagra or tadalifil. Studies show some benefits for staving off mental decline with daily use.
You'll certainly rise to the occasion.

The Double Filet o Fish is my go-to menu item at McD's. Ignorance is bliss, so I don't wanna know what goes in a McRib, but they're delicious.

I have a bunch of AR's and a Can cannon. They all have great parts (except my A2). I won't be hurting for great rifles if I build a flimsy one.
Yup, makes sense as it's not a primary

I've picked up a few of the super light ARs at gunshows, like sub 6lbs. Everything is skeletonized. I like the idea but not the practicality. However, i'm one of those people who kinda associate weight with quality, so super light just feels flimsy to me. The last thing i want is a rifle that can't hold up to slight abuse.
I suppose it all depends on your frame, strength, health, use case, etc. At 6'2", it doesn't hurt my feelings to tote beefier rifle.- 1

I am currently carrying the Kershaw Emerson CQC 7-K. I really like the ease of opening using the Emerson Wave feature.
I got it on sale for $28 after I lost a Benchmade that I had carried for over 20 years.
If something happens to this one I’m not sure I’d replace it with the same knife, I realized I am not a fan of the tanto blade.
That and I like panels on both sides of the handle even though it adds a little thickness to it.
My next folder will have the Wave.Yeah I don't care for a tanto either. I'm more of a drop point, spear point fan.

I got the message twice and it contained a link to facebook, which didn't work. It turns my stomach to think that some important detail for the community requires zuckerturd.

My dad served in Nam. Mechanized artillery. M107 I believe. I never got a single story from him. He didn't want to talk about it at all. I learned a few sparse facts from my mother. I think I learned enough when I bought him his first DVD player and put in my favorite movie at the time "We were soldiers". At one point he popped out of his chair and started yelling at the guys for running after a Vietcong. "Don't do it, don't do it!"
After that, I got it. He didn't need to relive it with me.

I’ve never found an Emerson proper that I’ve kept in my rotation. They’re wonderful knives for some particular use cases.
That said, the wave feature is one of the best innovations in the last several decades in terms of EDC knives. I’ve got several blades with the feature and love it.
The pockets of my jeans love it a little less than I do…
Pretty simple set of requirements for me. Is it sharp? Will it hold an edge? Can I poke or cut things. Obviously other folks will have a broader need.
I landed on this model after going to Gatlinburg. I was at NOC and commented on a guys Emerson shirt. This dude proceeds to whip out 8 Emerson's to demo them for me. I started to question his EDC, but felt it best to just carry on like it was normal. Among those was a Sheepdog and I liked the fit and finish. -
Years ago I picked up a cheap Kershaw Emerson. Not the highest quality steel, so it needed regular sharpening, but what made it worthwhile was the "wave" opening. I'm so spoiled by it that I don't think I would ever want to go without one. Reach for the knife and presto, it's open and ready to roll. Plus, it's kinda fun seeing people's reaction at how fast it just appears when you need it.
This year for Christmas, the wife wanted to get me something nice and so i sent her out for the upgrade and she picked up an actual Emerson. Decided to go with the Sheepdog Mini with a spearpoint. I'm very happy with the construction and smooth operation overall, though I haven't really put it through its paces yet.
Just curious if anyone else is a fan? (there may be another thread somewhere in the pile. I won't lie, I didn't bother to look. -

This won't be America's dad..... nor would we want to have them go back and watch it. What a shame...
