  1. And not one of the "security" detail hand a pair of handcuffs or zip ties????? If they were that unprepared I won't even ask why nobody else had a gun............
  2. WOW! Yall must have some interesting conversations with your neighbors for them to end up at "I got an idea...I will trade you Bessie for that nice little rifle you got there."   I have got 65 head and none of my neighbors have ever offered a trade like that
  3. I have a mossberg 935 and I love it! I use it for duck/turkey hunting and sometimes other game. The one I have is a 26" barrel with a +5 mag extension. I know you would be looking more at a 930 for your needs but they are mechanically almost identical(3" vs 3.5" chamber). I would highly recommend this firearm. It may not have the fit and finish as some of the higher end semi's but when you pull the trigger it goes bang and that fits my needs. Hope this helps.
  4. I have been down the Ocoee 5 times, and I LOVE IT!!! I would definitely recommend it you will have a blast! Don't worry about the safety part so much just listen to what your guide tells you to do. The only advice I can offer is to go in the hottest part of the summer otherwise you will be freezing and won't enjoy it as much.
  5.   If this is the case it will also cover suppressors since they are an accessory.   I could be wrong but I don't think this would cover them since the laws regulating these items were in place prior to this bill becoming law?
  6. Oh yea! The resemblance to the pic that RUNCO posted is unquestionable!
  7. We need more level headed and well informed people, like the Pratt family, in elected positions to represent us. When I say us I don't mean us as gun owners I mean each and every American citizen! We need more people with COMMON SENSE!
  8. Good read compared to the last few weeks of liberal filled media
  9. I do think that metro issues long guns other than the usual scatter guns. I think that this is for the officers that want the extra tools at their disposal without having to go through all the headache of getting approval/issued/payed for by metro. Win/win for the officers that want to do so and metro can avoid forking out the funds and effort to fully equip all of their officers.
  10. I would rather be an outlaw than a victim!
  11. The first of many I am afraid.   I see the mindset of many politicians to become "Well if new york can do it then I can to". Kind of like the sheep herd mentality
  12. I would have expected a lot worse because I know very well just how loud they can get in a crowded duck blind much less a fully enclosed room!   We all make mistakes man don't sweat it too bad.
  13. I am not a roofer, but I have fixed leaking barn roofs. I would think that you could get something like caulk, but more of a HD sealant and apply it from the exterior as well as from inside the attic. If done right it should last at least until the roof needs to be re-shingled.   Glad nobody was injured and +1 for muzzle awareness. How bad is the ringing in your ears?
  14.   I definitely don't trust them by any means. I was just trying to point out that they are going about it in as inefficient and obvious way as possible. How many thousands of guns are sold per day and they expect to stay on top of that? With the manpower they have they are failing their current responsibilities, much less take this on as well.   But, since when is government expected to be efficient and use common sense.............
  15. BTW the weren't the rent-a-cops we have here, i think they were technically LEOs, but there only job was security. And it was a school trip and that was where the professor wanted to eat so........ya know how that goes.
  16. It was a cheap one that I had in case of that exact situation. In the end they gave it back as I was leaving, so I wasn't that worried about it.
  17. Last spring I went on a week long school trip to Washington D.C.. It was a great trip and a very informative learning experience. I would recommend anyone who hasn't been should make the trip some time.   One experience that I took away from the trip is just how liberal EVERYONE is!!! I was amazed at how ridiculous general mindset is. One time in particular at the old post office building (which is now a food court/shopping area). I was stopped by a security guard at the door and was asked if I had anything on me, and I informed him I did have a pocket knife. He said that he would have to confiscate it and I gave it to him. He asked me why I needed a knife and I don't think he liked when I responded with "because I can't carry my gun".   It was hard to feel safe when there were SRT teams in full gear walking the streets and helicopters with gunners flying just above buildings. I understand if they felt the need for that level of security, but 95% of the places I couldn't even have a knife, much less my ccw?   In light of all that is going on politically up there I think about the average mindset and how oblivious people are. For example, how shocked they are to learn that other areas of the country like TN the 2nd Amendment actually means something.   One last fun fact about D.C., if you ever notice all of the big tents on top of the buildings every couple of blocks, they aren't for receptions or parties, they are anti-aircraft artillery.   Just wanted to share my thoughts and experience.
  18. If he does something unconstitutional? Because he has never done anything like that before........   I am glad that there are still some people in that liberal infested area that remember the words of the oath they took and can actually understand them!
  19. Note to self....don't ask to change the thermostat if I ever go to Greenland!
  20. Although I wouldn't put it past them to do so, I doubt the ATF would be so blatant as to go to the gun stores to make copies of them this early in the game. It would be much more efficient and less obvious to have their pencil pushers back at the office make copies as they are sent in for approval. With all of the gun stores, pawn shops, etc. throughout the U.S. they would just be spinning their wheels if they were to try and go to each storefront. They can't even keep up with current NFA applications, much less try to accomplish a task of this magnitude. JMHO
  21.   I would imagine it would be costly to Law Enforcement agency's in NY, if Glock, Sig, Remington, Etc. refused to service weapons or start any new contracts. I wonder what it would cost a dept. the size of NYPD to change firearm contracts.   Just a thought, if NYPD were to change contracts they couldn't sell the surplus duty weapons in NY, because they would be illegal for civilians to own.
  22. Very well written! I haven't thought about the middle class aspect but it makes sense.
  23.  I am not sure how the bill is worded but it could ban 1911's as well, because there are many different 8-10 round mags out there for the 1911.   Plus there are plenty of 1911's like mine that are "EXTRA EVIL" because they have a rail that you can mount a grenade launcher on.............................   (Please note sarcasm)
